I have to tell you that your TR has convinced me to buy the photopass when we make our trip this summer. Your pictures are great!

That is a beautiful picture of you in front of the castle. I can't believe someone would steal a cup from someone they don't know. I am so paranoid about my kids getting sick while we are on vacation that I probably wouldn't even touch somebody else's cup. Especially if I don't know them. I am so excited!! we leave on Thursday. I may do a TR after, but will wait and see how exciting my trip is.

Thats good. Just be sure to keep an eye out for them. Alot of times they won't stop you for a picture, but if you stop for them, they are more than happy to take it.

So back to the report. :cool1:
I left off with me getting a piece of egg swiped off my plate from a bird! :scared1:
After I finished eating I went into the room and Skip and Claire woke up.
Claire got some more princess mail. Her letter was from Ariel. :cloud9:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/princessgift.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/princessmail1.jpg
She received a tinker bell comb and mirror set and a set of princess pens.
We got dressed for the day. I made her wear the Aurora costume. This is my favorite one, but for some reason she likes the Ariel Wedding dress better and she wanted to wear it again. I won, because I told her it was dirty. :rotfl: LOL!
I got her some breakfast, and Skip got some as well.
She only ate about half, and Skip helped her finish and then we gave my buddy some of the leftovers. LOL! :rolleyes1
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/birdfriend.jpg
Then I took a few pictures around Pop with Claire. Well not many, and most near our room. LOL! :cutie:

Me either but it will be over so fast that's what I always think about . LOL Then we won't get to go for another year :(
I'm also disappointed that I checked the weather this morning and it now says we are suppose to have Isolated T-storms 4 out of our 8 days at a 30% chance so I guess it's off to the dollar store today to pick up ponchos :(

Those photopass pics are fabulous of your family! We're doing a photopass share in Sept. just because I saw all of your pics! I hope that I notice all of the photopass photographers like you did.
I also picked up the Red Belle dress at the Disney Store the other day, they had it on sale and I got the dress, shoes, and crown for around $60 for all. My DD really wanted it since she saw your little girl wearing it.
Your trip report is soooooo great, and really helping me plan for our upcoming trip. Thanks so much for taking the time to do this! :goodvibes

I have been lurking too! :) I wanted to join after spending free time over the last 2 days trying to get caught up! Claire is ADORABLE! My DD, Chloe (7), and Claire would get along fabulously....she is still very much a princess, too!
Thank you so much for this TR! We went to WDW for the 1st time last year, and our returning 09/19-27 this year (with free dining, yay!). Your TR has been very helpful as I am anxiously counting down the days and trying to pre-plan our dining (as much as anyone can before they actually have ADRs). You have given me lots of great ideas, so thanks!

I am back! So sorry to be MIA. There was a big fire at a tire company in a town near ous and took out the interent service (well all there services, but I only have interent with them) provided by Time Warner in the whole area. I guess thousnads were affected by it. It was fianlly back up this afternoon when I returned from Dance class and Dr.s ! I have to upload pictures, but have some installments written up, so hopefully later tonight I can get them up.
We had to go to the Ear,Nose, Throat Dr today becuase Claire snores so loud and her Ped. took x-rays and said her tonsils and adnoids were very enlarged. So this Dr. looked and said on a scale from 1-4, 4 is the big ones, super large, that should be taken out. She is a 4+. She never has tonsilitus, but does breath very heavy. So he suggests getting them out. He said we will be amazed how well she sleeps and her energy level. (not sure she needs more energy though. LOL) So I think in June after school is out and her dance recital is over we are going to have them out. It will be a full 2 weeks of recovery, and I feel mean about doing it. but the Dr said that we really will be happy with it and she will be able to breath so much better. DH wanted to do it next week, but I insisted we wait till all the other stuff is done with and we can relax and recover.
So thats what is happening with us.

Ahhh I hope her recovery goes well in june. Our three year old grandson had his out almost 2 weeks ago. Yes a full 2 week recovery plus some I think. His first 2-3 days were really good, surprisingly. Then bam the meltdowns started. And we almost finished the prescription pain meds. I honestly think Motrin works the best. So my thoughts are give her her pain med from doc before bed, then go in before you go to bed and give motrin. Seemed to keep him sleeping through the night. Our little guy was crabby a lot this week but turns out he has an ear infection too.

I am so not looking forward to the recovery. When Paige had hers done, I think she was about 1st or 2nd grade and it was so horrible. They get much worse before they get better and it was such a long recovery. I feel mean doing this to her.

Aww, what a bummer for Claire. It will definitely help her, though. My niece just got hers out a month ago, and she is 17!! I tell you what, she feels sooo much better without those little buggers! What's interesting is how they took them out. They were taken out at Children's Hospital in Cincinnati and they essentially burned them out...:confused3 I'm not sure how it worked, but the recovery time was about a week less. They say that it's much harder for people that are older, I hope that's the case with Claire and that she heals quickly!!:goodvibes

It was another nice day. Our whole trip had been in the 80’s, and it was so nice.
One thing I had learned this morning while gossiping, was that a bus load of cheerleaders had arrived this AM at Pop. YUCK! Today was their only free day, which probably meant a lot of them would be at the parks.
After taking pictures I went back to the room and packed our bag for the day. I threw in a sundress and then thought, heck I should be carrying an extra pair of underwear too. Especially after the Kali Rivers incident where she got totally soaked. So threw in a pair and some snacks, and all the other essential.
We also collected Simba . No need to repeat the day before and have lots of wining.
We then were ready for our last day at MK.
I think we arrived around 11. Just walking in we could tell that his day was much busier than it had been all week.
I took another try at the balloon bundle. Again, I’m not impressed with my result.

I again made the family stop for Photopass.

I can trade with Claire if she wants - I had to get a video camera tube put down my nose to investigate why I was blowing my nose and blood was coming out, yet I wasn't getting nose bleeds, and why I was having trouble breathing. they couldn't figure that out, but apparently I have very tiny tonsils and and adenoids. :rotfl: I thought that was a bad thing, haha, but he said it's just like having tiny toes or something. Which I guess means it doesn't matter? :confused3
On the other hand, I'm glad you're back, and that you have internet again!

Thats what they are doing to her too. They caulderize (sp?) the tonsils out and then basically burn the adnoids down.
My sister had hers out in college and she was horribley sick for about a month after. They say the older you are the longer it takes to heal. So glad I got mine out as a kid.

I had mine out when I was a freshman in high school. (back then they kept you over night) released the next day. Back to school within a few days.
Guess I'll never understand it because cuts take me week to heal, still healing from a skin biopsy in early Nov, and if I'm in pain I pass out :upsidedow

I love the pics with Chip and Dale! I know those were from a few days ago but I just thought they were so cute :)
How did you know to take Claire to the ENT Dr? My DS snores loudly and almost always breathes through his mouth when he sleeps. The Dr has never said anything and DS has never had ear infections or any problems with sore throats (that I can tell). Just wondering what prompted you to take her in?

oh poor little Claire. My son Scout had strep and tonsillitis frequently about to years ago and both my kiddos have huge tonsils and snore but our ENT hasn't been inclined to take them out yet. He seems to feel they are going to grow out of it. I hope so.

We switched pediatritions a few months ago. I just wasn;t happy where we were going. They almost only had nurse practioners and most seemed clueless. Very rarely did we ever see the Dr, who was great, but she is about to retire.
So finally I had enough with rude staff and everyt time we came they would say watch her for 2 weeks then come back.I switched to where my sister goes. Claire had a long lasting cold in Feb, so we made an appointment, which was the second time going there. We just took any Dr that was available. Claire ended up having an ear infection, and we took care of that, but the Dr said that Claire's tonsils were super large and have we ever had it looked into. No the other office never once mentioned or basically looked for anything other than what I told them. So she had us get an xray and see if her adnoids were enlarged as well. Which we did. The called a few days later and suggested we see a ENT. No rush, but if we wanted to.
Skip had to see one for other reasons, so I told him to make an appointment for both of them. And the rest is history. LOL!
A big thing they asked was if Claire snored and gasped for breath at times while sleeping, which she does. But they also asked if she was a restless sleeper, and I really don't think she is so much. Bedwetting is also a sign for alot, and Claire has yet to be pottytrained through the night.
I'm still feeling "mean" about the hwole thing. LOL! Skip even tried to sway me last night to have it done next week. But I am sticking to my guns and waiting till school is out and the recital is done.

Sorry to hear about Claire having to get her tonsils out, but she will be a lot happier after. My son had to have his out this past fall and he is a lot less whiny. I think he sleeps better now and he has started to grow better. He is very small for his age, I think 3% for height, and 10% for weight.
Anyway, I had several people tell me he would be fine in a couple of days. Boy were they wrong it took at least 2 weeks and then some. The first couple of days they are ok because they still have a lot of the pain meds in their system, but by day 3-10 it was miserable. I don't want to scare you and Claire may be different and heal quickly, but I was so surprised by how long it took to heal.
Also, make sure you get her to drink lots of fluids. My son hardly ate or drank and one of his scabs where his tonsil was came off. You have a main artery connected to that area, and I have never seen so much blood in my life. It looked like a murder scene in my room. He came running in about midnight and I could hear him choking and gargling before I could even get the light on. He could hardly breathe because the blood was pulsating out of his mouth so fast, and it was everywhere. We live within five minutes of the hospital so my husband gave him some towels and got him to the ER. He had soaked through 4 towels in the time it took him to get there. They immediatly got him back and had to recauterize the tonsil area. We also had to sign all this paperwork for a blood transfusion because he was borderline needing one. He had a yellowish, greenish tint for the next few days but then he was fine. Also, this happened on day 8 after having his tonsils out. They said if it happens, it usually happens between day 7 and 10. Just when you think they are turning the corner and starting to eat. I also don't want you to be paranoid about it because they said the chances of it are less than 1%. Just make sure she drinks lots of fluids. I think my sons throat got so dry and than once he started to eat a little it cause the scab to come off.

Maybe you might want to get a second opinion. He/she could be old school, where they wouldn't take them out unless you were sick so many times from them. Now a days they will take them out for other reasons. Child Sleep Apnea being one.
And I've been told you never grow out of them. They grow large along with you, and much better to get it done early. My sister who had them out in college had tonsilitus off and on her whole life, but we had a Dr who just wouldn't take them out. They fianlly switched Drs and this guy said they should've been taken out when she was little, and they would be causing her problems for the rest of her life if she didn't get them out.
I'm not pushing getting them out. But maybe have someone take a second look. I'll keep you all posted on what happens when we do it.

I remember al ltoo well how Paige was after she got hers out. Definately 2 weeks of recovery. It was a long 2 weeks. I don't think my DH really understands how bad it will be.
And yes day 7 is ten times worse than day 1. Paige had alot of off and on bleeding too and really wouldn't eat or drink. they almost wouldn't let her go home after the surgery becuase she kept bleeding and refused to even take a popsicle.
I kind of wish they would keep them overnight 1 night at least like in the old days. I stayed for 3 nights when I had mine done.

The Move it Shake it parade was going on, :cool1: so we stopped and watched. It was pretty crowded around the hub, so Skip threw Claire up on his shoulders and went in for a closer look. I took a few pictures of my pink fluff girl going into the crowd.

And then I lost them. :confused3
It was really crowded and it was hard to see. I took some video too. Not the greatest, but gives you an idea.
Again, I really suck at taking video.

After the parade, we two-wayed each other till we found each other. Again I wasn’t getting the best directions, so I had to use my imagination and skills to find them. LOL!
Claire had beads around her neck when I found them. I guess they give them out during this block party.
We walked by the Pirate Tutorial and Skip took Claire up to watch it. I got in line for Captain Hook, and was going to call them when I got close. With in minutes they were back. Claire didn’t care for the tutorial and said Captain Hook was too scary, so we got out of line. Peter Pan was across the way and I gave the option to see him, but she looked at the line and said no.
It was very hot and crowded. Just what I hate. All these people seemed to be in MY way. LOL! :headache:
We stopped and got out some lemonade for Claire and decided to just wander around and find something that didn’t look too busy. Good luck there. LOL! :rolleyes1
As we were wandering Claire screams “There’s Donald” and she wanted to see him. So we got in line for him.
Skip went off to get a snack. He got a banana and a water, using some of the snack credits up. I thought the banana was a waste of the snack credit, but we did have a lot left yet.
Waiting in line for Donald.

While waiting in line they told us that the photopass photographer was having problems with her camera, so we had to only use our own for pictures.
The kids in front of us had Mickey heads on there pens and Donald had a fit. It was so funny. He made a big deal about them NOT being Donald pens. LOL

Sorry to hear about Claire's tonsils.. but I know it will make her breathe better. Please keep us updated on her recovery.
thanks!
Hi, I'm a bit late in being a non-lurker but wanted to let you know I enjoy reading your report. We will be at Pop too so it's nice to see the pictures. Although, I am sad to here about the frozen drink machine... :)
Thanks for reading along!

After Donald, we decide to walk over to Fantasyland and ride Its a Small World.

Fantasyland was jammed packed. :grouphug:
We parked the stroller and got in line. I think it was 20 minutes.

Going to stray off topic now!
A few weeks ago Claire got her dance recital costume. It is so cute. She wants to wear it all the time, but she can't till after the show in June.
Anyways, here is some video of her practicing with the costume on over her dance clothes and then a few pictures from that day.

Thanks. She loves being on stage. They still need alot of work, but the little ones are so cute on stage. They forget stuff and watch each other. LOL!
They get to perform on Tuesday for a Cinco De Mayo party. I told her we should practice today so she remembers it. The teacher wasn;t there last class and the sub just did tumblin with them.

So cute! My DD5 is also in dance. She was so excited when she found out they are going to dance to "A Whole New World" and they are all dressing as Jasmine! My DD got her costume a few weeks ago and has been having a fit to wear hers too! It is so cute to watch them dance at that age. I get teary eyed at every practice watching them. It is precious.

Too Cute! I miss dance, my daughter did ballet but now she is on the elementary dance team. I had some girls a couple of years ago in 4th grade that got their toe shoes. They were so excited they brought them to school to dance in front of the class.

Thanks everyone. I think she is too cute too. We can't wait for the recital in June.
A couple of updates.
I ordered a Canon 50D and it should arrive next week.
The bad news is that Paige (my 17 YO DD ) is going to prom tonight! So I have to use the point and shoot to take pictures. I'm bummed about that, but I will try to take them outside, so I can get the best amount of light.
I'll post them most likely tomorrow. I am also taking some with my film SLR in B&W film. But I need to find a place that processes that kind of film. Most around here do a color processing, and it can make the pictures not look as nice. I took a class a while back and we developed them ourselves and it was super cool, but to buy all that stuff would just be too much.
Claire's surgery is scheduled for June 22. Don't have the time yet, but it will be in the morning.
And thats it in the way of updates. LOL!

I love the older styles much better! I had someone offer me $100 for my Snow White and I wouldn't sell it. I want to keep them for her treasure chest. The new ones look more like a Disney Store costume. I feel so bad we didn't let those two play in March! :headache:
Claire's dance costume is so cute! Pink is so pretty on blondes! :cutie:
Did your Canon mess up? You should have just went to Nikon. I'm telling you girl it's so much better! I know you have a bunch of Canon stuff but you could have sold it on ebay. I always swore by Olympus but making the switch to Nikon is the best move I've ever made! Oh...as for processing the black and white film...you can still send it off and get it done the right way. I don't know of anyone who does it in one hour though. I miss working in the dark room too but digital is so much easier. I'm about to run a special and I'm not even going to offer rpints. Just a disc. It's easier for me and less time consuming. Besides...I feel like people should get the disc so they can make whatever they want from it. Ya know? Yeah, you could make more $ in the long run doing prints but it's a PITA! :goodvibes

After Small World we got Fast Passes for Pooh. It also came with an extra fast pass for Mickey’s Philharmagic. We are not big fans of this. :confused3 I know most love it, but I find it just OK. We only saw it once, which was last year, and I just didn’t think it was anything special. So for now we decided to not use them. Maybe later. :cutie:
Skip was in a lot of pain from his hip. He decided he would go back to the room and get some ibuprofen. I told him I had some with us, but he said he wanted to see if he had something else back at the room. :hippie:
So we departed and Claire and I headed over to ToonTown.
We stopped and got a photopass on the way.

Claire was so funny. She told me, “I rode this before” and I said “yes, you rode it several times before” and she said “I rode it with dad”.
I told her “yes with dad and you’ve rode it with me before too.” And her reply was. “I never had to wait in a line with dad”. LOL! I guess it was my fault we had to wait in a line.
I took some pictures while waiting.

Thats great that Claire like Goofy's Barnstormer. We took Juliana on it in October.... Big mistake. She loves the Tea Cups and spins them herself soooo fast... we thought she would like Goofy's. She cried almost the whole ride. The ride was very jerky and was throwing her around a bit. I felt like an a## putting her on it. Every time she see a picture of it she says thats the ride I don't like!:confused3

How did you get an extra Fastpass for Philharmagic? Is that what you get if you get a pass for Winnie the Pooh?
And the Donald's boat picture is great - I was cracking up at the whistle's face!

Yes, we got two fp's when we got the pooh one. One for Pooh and one for Philharmagic. Not sure if that is normal or not. But thats waht happened that day. LOL!
The FP's are really not a big deal for Philharmagic though. When we did go, we went in the FP line and was towards the front, but still had to wait the same amount of time. And then we entered the waiting room before the doors opened and all the non FP people were alos piled into this room. We got in first but wer told to line up towards the back of the rail. So all the other non FP people actually lined up much closer to the door and our seats weren;t very close.

I think it went well. I tried calling her a bit ago and she didn't answer. I got a call around 2 AM,(which is always scary, but especially when you know your kid is out) from her. They were at the after Prom and they said they were done and wanted to go back to someone's house (which I knew they were doing beforehand) but they had to have permission to leave early. She text her dad, but he didn't answer. Probably becuase he was sleeping, ya think? LOL
So she told me the school would be calling. Dh was al lworried, not about Paige, but because when we get late night calls it usually means the cows escaped (they seem to like to do this in the middle of the night, then stand in the road. LOL)
So the school called a few minutes later and I gave the permission for her to leave.
The thing is, I don't think they even ask who they were talking to, so for all they knew it could've been Claire saying yes she could leave. :confused3
I took alot of pictures. Not the greatest. I was fighting to get in front of a couple of opther parents who just would not move to let others take some. then we went to the one kids house. And like 40 parents were there and the lighting was awful in the house. Talk about a cluster.....
It was impossilbe to get any good shots with that many people fighting to do so as well. And it seemed like the sun was my enemy when we did outside ones.
I'll post a few now, and then more later when I get them loaded.
We are going to go outside and enjoy the day, so it may be later tonight.

I loved Claire's dance practice video - It reminds me of when Grey took Dance. She did six years of Hermann son's dance and This year she decided she wanted cheerleading lessons (owww so much more expensive!) but that what she's doing and loving it. It's certainly built up her little 9 yr old muscles.
Paige looked so beautiful. I did have to laugh about the camo tux and ballcap

Just found your trip report and read the whole thing today! I love it and your pictures are great! I'm sure Claire's surgery will go smoothly. I had the same thing done when I was about five years older than Claire and it was definitely the right solution! I went from snoring as loud or louder than any adult to not snoring AT ALL! I sleep much better and I've honestly never come done with anything like Strep since then. It did take a good two weeks to recover and I found that even icecream was too dificult to eat at first. Applesauce went down easier if Claire likes that!

I was excited when Claire started dance too. She had just turned two. We went to the first class and she did great. It was in Feb. Then the next class it had snowed that day alot and all she did was cry becuase she wanted to go out and play in the snow. The next week the snow was pretty much melted and when we got to class she remembered that it had snowed the week before and said she wanted to play in the snow again, so instead of fighting with her each week to go into the class, we dropped out for the time. We started back in the fall and she loved it and is excited to go every week now, and cries if we have to miss it. (which we only have due to Disney trips.LOL)

Next on the agenda was Minnie’s house.
It was pretty busy in there, and of course we had to wait our turn for everything. We had one of those rude families behind us, who feel they don’t have to wait. :snooty: They kept pushing the kids ahead of us, and then I would tell them it’s not your turn or just block there way and they would go back. The mom would keep telling them to go ahead, and then each time they “didn’t” succeed, she would say “oh wait for that girls turn first.” :sad2: I don’t know why she did it every time, because I wasn’t letting them ahead of us. LOL! :confused3 We had to wait too.

Wow, Claire looks so much like Paige!
We tried to do Goofy's Barnstormer in March but DS was just a hair to short. We'll have to try it again in November :)
The we went when Claire was 2 she was just barely there. On CM wouldn't let her on, but all the others did.
Great pics. I think she almost blends in with Minnie's house (pink hair and pink dress) lol she is so adorable. :lovestruc
LOL! :lmao:
Isn't it funny what kids remember, "I didn't have to wait with Daddy??":rotfl2:
Paige is a beautiful girl! And those tuxes, woah, I never thought I'd see that.:lmao:
Miss Claire posed so nice for you in Minnie's House. I really need to get back to Toontown, for some reason we never get back there. . .:confused3 I guess it's because DH says it's for kids and it's not a ride.
I almost still forget about toontown. It was just never the place I HAD to go too. But Claire remembers it.

Glad you're back. I've actually been going really slow on the trip report, so it could've been worse. LOL!
I got my new camera today, so now I'm gonna go open the blox and check it out, so it still may be longer yet before I get my butt in gear and post more. LOL!

Your daughters dress was very nice & 'classy'. You should see some of the dresses I see every year. I have my 1st 2 proms of the year this weekend. I'm sure I'll see plenty of _______ (insert your own word here) dresses. I don't know how some of these girls parents let them out of the house.:confused3

Thank you. I am surprised at how some dress too. I don;t think any were supre bad, but later on we went to another house and took group pictures and I had to wonder how some of the girls weren't popping out of the sides of there tops. paige said one girl was using two sided tape to hold the top in place. I guess fashions change too. Because some of the dresses I would never consider a prom dress.

I'm popping on. I think I broke the lawnmower. LOL! I hit two stones and kept going, but later on I got off of it to move some stuff and then turned the blade back on and it died. I tried to restart it and it won't even try to turn over. DH looked at it and he has no clue either, but commented on how he heard me grinding a couple of times. Back to the TR!
After Minnie’s house we went into the big store there in Toontown and looked around. I looked at the wait time for the Fairies…60 minutes , no thank you…...and we strolled around the store. Claire found a toy. It was a Minnie Mouse spin toy. When you press the button the skirt spins and lights up. I noticed a CM gathering kids to dance, and aksed Claire if she wanted to join them. But she declined and said she already danced at the parade. :sad2:
They did some dances and I noticed the kids who danced got a certificate…a “year of a million dreams” certificate. Evidently they have a lot left over and are trying to sue them up. LOL!
As we left I checked the Fairy wait again. It was now up to 75 minutes! :scared:
We next took a potty break at Pete’s Garage.
Claire was impressed that his garage was the bathroom. LOL!
After using Pete’s garage, we headed over to Mickey’s house. This house was far less crowded. In fact hardly anyone was in there.
You will notice that Claire keeps posing her new Minnie in a lot of the shots. :love:LOL!

When we left Mickey’s house I called DH and asked what was up. He said “he just got back and took some ibuprofen and was going to sit a little while”. I took this as he was back at the park and was sitting up front. I was wrong, as I later find out. He meant he was back at the hotel and was going to take a nap. LOL! OOPS! :flower3: :rolleyes1
Claire and I headed over to Fantasyland then to fight the crowds.
We got a fast pass for Peter Pan. :tinker: I actually had to wait a few minutes as the first time I was about a minute too soon. The CM told me that the computers in the machines weren’t always on the same time as the clock up above.
We kind of wandered a bit and then I decided to do the Philharmagic. :smickey: I called DH and told him we were there and he was a bit grumpy about me calling, and he told me he was resting… OK then!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/philharmagic.jpg
I thought the fast pass entrance wasn’t anything special. We still wait in line and then we are let into the next room first, but the standby guests come in after us, and they were put closer to the door to the theater. :crowded:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/3Dglasses.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/coolglasses.jpg
Claire seemed to enjoy the show much more this year than last year. I just think it’s OK.
Claire had to potty then, so as we were looking for one we asked a CM when the Belle Storytime was going to start. He said in just a few minutes and directed us to the closest bathroom near there. We RAN! LOL! ::yes:: We went potty and then headed off to storytime. It was full and they weren’t letting anyone else in, but they did allow Claire to stand in the entrance to watch. Claire didn’t mind and loved the show.
I thought this was Belle actually reading a story, but NOPE! Again it was a small version being acted out with some of the audience members of the Beauty and the Beast story.

awww, those are some really good pics of Claire! The dance costume is too cute!
Have you been working on your DH to let you go on an all girls trip for Free Dining?
Thanks. I am reading some books about photography (agin, I need to freshen up my memory now that I'm 40. LOL) and hope to improve it.
I haven;t even asked DH. I just know he'll say no. Though today on the way to dance class Claire asked me "are we going to go to Disney again" and i siad "I sure hope so, if dad says we can" and she said, "well you better check with him tonight" LOL! How cute is that?
I also just don;t know how much Paige would enjoy it. When I show her my pics, she always says how she would rather be laying by the pool. And I told her I bet she would have fun with me, rahtehr than her dad and hsi family, and she did agree. But I know I would want to be on the go, and she would probably get bored fast. Thats just how she is. I want to fanitisize that she would love it, but I don;t know if she really would when it comes down to it.

Reading the manual is a really good way. I never did in the past, but then wen I got my first point and shoot that had manual settings I read it and learned so much. Also finding a basic book on photography helped alot as well.

How did I miss so many updates!? I'm going backwards here....I just posted neighborhood pics too....that's so funny. We're one in the same. LOL I see you got your new camera! You like it I see. That's awesome! Can't wait 'til the next trip! It'll be hard to top this report but you will!
Wow. That was a huge group of prom peeps at one time. I see how it was hard now for you to get your shot. I bet it looked like the papparazi over there. Paige looks beautiful. Love her dress. I think I told you that already. THANKS for adding your prom pic too. You know I love old pics! (And you know I love your hair!)
Baby DS picked out that same Minnie toy. Yep, he wanted the pink girly one.
I don't know why I'm not getting your updates. That's just weird. I'll just check it every day. You're always adding something like me. We should have hung out...I regret it now. We would have gotten along so well.

Those are excellent pics. I have never been much of a photographer but I really want to improve. I just got a Cannon digital - Powershot sx110 I think. you can manually set the iso and I so want to understand this. Is there a basic photography book you can suggest. I would love to take a class but trying to find the time for me would be hard. My work schedule varies from week to week and I'm in a small Nursing administration office (believe me that sounds a lot better than it pays:rotfl:) so I'm on call a lot. Plus my DS is dyslexic so homework is very time consuming for us everyday. So for now I guess I'll have to settle for educating myself through reading and trial and error. :hippie:

Thanks for the comments everyone.
I've been super behind on reading trip reports and posting on mine.
I, of course, am playing with my camera a bit and reading bits of the manual. Plus my computer seems extra slow today.
I also need to get some pictures copied to Cd, so hopefully by tomorrow I can get another installment up.
I'm sorry I am taking so long on this day.

After the Pooh ride, Claire declared she needed something to eat. I didn’t want to get her too much because we would be eating in the not so far future. We decided on a pretzel. This sucker was huge too. But I snatched a few bites for myself as well. LOL!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/pretzel.jpg
As we were eating the pretzel we walked passed a bathroom, and I decide I should go. So we went in and Claire said she had to go again. I was surprised since she really had just gone not too long ago. So we went and I went to pull her pants up and UH OH! She didn’t pull her underwear down far enough before going and they got wet!
So I took them off, and put them in a bag I had in my purse. (thank goodness I brought along little bags, something I learned to do after the two previous trips of her getting sick…always have a bag on hand just in case), and we went out and washed out hands. Marched out to the stroller ,her with nothing on under her dress, LOL! And pulled out that extra pair of underwear I just happened to pack that morning! Yay Me! We went back in the bathroom, pulled them on, her giggling the whole time about it and we were just fine and dandy then.
She had decided she would like to see Jasmine again today, so we headed off in that direction. The parade had started and boy was it hard getting through. We squeezed our way and went against the flow, but we finally saw light at the end of the tunnel.
The pirate Tutorial was going on again when we went by so I stopped to watch. Claire was just not impressed with it, so after I snapped some pictures we went on our merry way.

Yes, after last year with throwing up I keep them with me at all times. LOL! I would normally keep them in my bag, but the bag sits in the stroller alot , so I found putting them in my purse was much better as it was with me always. I use the small kind like I used to used when she was in diapers and we were out. I just had these small bags to disposed of them in then. I think they are called handi sacks or something. I much rather use them for the purpose we did this year, than as a barf bag though. LOL!

I forgot to mention that I had periodically beeped DH and told him what we were doing. The last time he was very grumpy, and I asked why, :headache: and he said because he was trying to sleep. LOL! Well that’s when I found out that he was back at the hotel and not sitting on some random bench, LOL! :flower3: OOPS! :rolleyes1
So our mission was Jasmine. She was not out. I asked a CM in a nearby store and they said she would be out at 4. Well we had dinner at 4:20, so I told Claire we would try again after dinner. :lovestruc
We kind of worked our way towards Crystal Palace and then took a sit down break. Well Claire jumped out of the stroller and ran around while I rested. LOL! I took this picture. The screen is missing. :scared1: We took pictures here previous years and there was a basket of fake apples and a screen.

And this year. I wish I would’ve made Claire stand there.

When we sat down, I beeped Skip but he didn’t answer. The parade was going down Main street at this time, so I figured if he was in the park he couldn’t hear anyways.
Not long after he beeped me and said he was in front of Crystal Palace. I told him where we were, which was just over the bridge basically and he came over and sat with us. We told him what we did, and what we still wanted to do.
For Claire that was swimming and Jasmine!
We headed over to CP and I checked us in and then we waited.

She has those big head phone things to cover her ears, but I'm not sure if they were sitting next to her, or if we had left them back at the truck. LOL! She usually will wear them, but maybe it was messing up her do, so she decided to do the fingers. I can't remember anymore.
We were in Tomah Wisconsin for a pull and the day before Sjip had a break, so Claire and I drove 2 1/2 hours over to Minnisota and went to the mall of america. We met a girl there who I talk to online on a different forume and spent the afternoon with her. It was so fun. And then later on Claire went to Libby Lu and got dolled up. Chimere would LOVE this picture! She loves to see those kids on leashes. :rotfl2: This one is even funnier because he has on Mickey ears too. I wish they made a leash that could hold baby DS in. :lmao: I hate CP but it looks like ya'll had fun! The topiairies are my favorite thing of all.

Thanks so much. I will finish it, I promise. I am trying to work out more, because I am just becoming a major computer potatoe. I've rod the exercise bike 20 mintues today and walked 3 miles on the tread mill, so I got a start at least today.

Good for you! I've been meaning to do the same thing, hoping to get started this weekend, but I've come down with something and I have no energy. I'll just have to put it off again! ;) Hopefully I'll get working out again soon. Good luck to you!

So Pooh was at our table soon after the March was over. He was a big hit. I have always had a soft spot for Pooh, which I think I have mentioned before. He was my favorite as a kid and the one character I saw when we came when I was little.

I ran up and got some food between Pooh had Piglet. I gave strict instructions to Skip to beep me on the Nextel when he was 2 tables away. LOL! But I got back in time.

We set up spinning Minnie so she could view all the action too.

Skip kept telling me to look at the guy at the table across from us. This guy looked like the banjo player at the Hoop Dee Doo review. Exactly like him. So I finally asked if he was “him” and he wasn’t. LOL! They were from Pennsylvania so I doubt he would travel daily for that gig. LOL!
They were a really nice family though and the banjo player look alike offered to take our picture.

Great trip report. Counting down the days til our next trip. Claire is adorable. :cheer2:
A little off topic: What program do you use to enhance your pictures? They are great, especially the ones that the color is muted.
