I am really enjoying your trip report!! I hope you don't mind me asking a BBB question here (LOVE the BBB thread, by the way!)....
I'm going to make a BBB appointment for my younger DD and want it to be a birthday surprise for her. Her birthday is before we go to WDW, so I was planning to give her a "gift certificate" or something for her birthday to let her know about it. When I schedule the appointment, does WDW send us anything about it? If so, I would include that with her "gift certificate."
Thanks!

Enjoying your report!
I like that they've added some borders to the photopass. When I got my cd in late 07 there weren't many options. Looking forward to playing with them.

No they don't send you anything. It's just like making an ADR. You could probably do a creative thing online and print it though.

They actually added some different ones while I was waiting to order it, so I went back and added more too.

They have 3 styles, the Princess {I think it's called that}(which is the bun), the Diva whcih is what Claire got, but you can chose natural looking hair for it, and the pop Princess, which has the funky hair piece and more spikey looking. The Hanno Montanna is a wig and is only done at DTD. I actually haven;t heard to many favorable reviews of it and it is more expensive. Most kids have found the wigh much to itchy and take it off. So personally I would stay away from that one.

Back to the trip report! I will post the photo shoot later on.
Day 4
Wed. March 11
The plans for the day.
We had breakfast ADR’s at Cape May for 10:50.Cpae May is in the Beach Club, which wasn’t to far from Pop, so we planned to drive rather than take a bus.
Wonderland Tea Party for Claire at 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian at 1:30
Animal Kingdom~ it was open later with EMH’s till 8.
My goal at AK was to see at least one of 2 shows, either Festival of the Lion King or Finding Nemo. If we did anything else, that was just whip cream on the pudding!
I think I woke up after 7, but I can’t remember exactly when. I showered and went out for the “walk” that was pretty much now routine. Fill up the mug, stop off at the smoking section and gossip, and take some pictures around Pop. :rolleyes1

Food court drinks
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/foodcourtdrinks.jpg
I’ll post more at the end of the report. I took a lot again this time too.
When I was walking back towards the room around 9:30, Skip was just coming out. He was still is his dreary mood. :headache: I did the nice smile and was pleasant, but the first words out of his mouth were “how do I get home if I need to today?” What a fun guy! :sad2: LOL!
I told him he would have to fly into Detroit, because Allegiant didn’t fly out on Wed to Toledo. We could probably call one of our moms or ask at the desk about finding a flight. He said he was waiting to hear from home before he went forward on it.
So I went into the room and actually kind of packed up his suitcase a bit, and thought about what he should take home with him if he did leave early. We need to keep certain stuff with us, but if he was going early, then I was going to send some stuff back so Claire and I didn’t have to struggle with it all.
I didn’t do major packing, but more organizing, so it would be ready to throw in if needed.

I think we were at BBB about 40 minutes. The photoshoot wasn;t too long, but I'd have to look at the time on the pictures to know for sure. You can pay for the shoot and get a package. I just walked in and bypassed the desk and said I would like to do the shoot and put in on my CD. A picture package is included with the most expensive BBB package. The lady just told me not to go to the desk or they would pressure meto buy a package, and she would take extras too if I didn't go to the desk.

Claire woke up while I was straightening up. She had another princess gift. It was a package of princess underwear and the note was from Alice.

As you can see, Claire’s hair did not make it well overnight. :scared1:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/cinderellagift.jpg
I told her we had to wash it today and be “fresh” for Alice. She cried and cried. She wanted to be beautiful for Alice. I told her we could wash it and I watched the FGIT do it, and I am sure I can redo it just like her. I actually think I did better, because I used more gel and it lasted for the rest of the week.
She was happy with it, and sat very still for me to do it too. AMAZING! :woohoo:
Skip came back into the room and said after talking to several people at home, he was just going to stay. The damage was done and the worst was over, so him going home wouldn’t really help any. :confused3 Claire was happy. She had started crying when she heard he might leave. She loves her Daddy very much and it’s hard for her to be apart from him for very long.
We got ready for our breakfast at Cape May. We drove over because the Beach Club is about an 8 minute drive. Taking the bus would’ve taken 40 minutes or longer with transfers. :car:
Going through the guarded gate they couldn’t find our name on the list. I swear this always happens to us. But finally they found it listed under my first name. I’m not sure why the would list it that way. I’m sure there are a zillion Jennifer’s out there.
We found the restaurant easily enough and got checked in.

Just wanted to let you know I am new to reading your TR (pg 24 ) but I am loving it. Clair is of course adorable. Your DH reminds me of my DH sleeping all the time and not good at listening.:sad2: I also think I am like you as I don't want to sleep as I meet miss something. I am on the go all the time, first up last to sleep. Don't mind doing things on my own if others are not willing to join me.:thumbsup2 Last time we went we did the land and sea and my poor feet were so swollen I could only wear flip flops and they were very stretched out too. But I never once let that get in my way of a good time.
We now have a new member to my family my Grandson Tristen. He is 7 months old now but we are planning our next trip from Vegas to DW in March or April next year. Trying to get everyone to pick a date is hard and since they haven't released the dates for reservations yet we have time to ponder it out.
I am sad that the DP has changed since we went. But will live.

I got the jacket at the Disney store last fall. I think it was in the plyhouse Disney stuff. I don't think it came in adults. She actually might've gotten the biggest size they had.

BACKTRACK time again!
I forgot to mention that while we were getting ready to go, Claire had gotten out her new tinkerbell figurine to dress and play with. Well with in minutes she broke the head off. NO WAY to fix it. There were lots of tears. I told her that we still had several days yet, so I would look for a store that carried them and exchange it. So Tinkerbell was packed into my bag too. LOL
Back to the report!
We went outside for a bit too, while we waited. I did this panoramic shot. I think that is the boardwalk. Please forgive me. I’ve never been over in this area before. LOL! :rotfl:

About 5 minutes before our scheduled time, we got buzzed. We went in and were seated. :yay:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/seatedatcapemay.jpg
We learn soon that our waitress isn’t too great. :sad2: She got us each juice, and Claire milk. Told us where the characters would be coming from and kind of disappeared after that.
At one point I flagged her down and asked if I could get some milk. She never came back to ask if we wanted more juice, and I need a lot to drink with my meal. LOL! She brought me a small karaft (sp?) of milk and DH and I shared it. As we were finishing up, she came over again and asked if anyone wanted juice. She only had enough juice her karaft to fill 1/3 of a glass. Dh declined, he was ready to head out at that point, but I took it.
So back to the meal.
I ran up quickly to the buffet and got Claire and I some food before Minnie came to our table.
She was playing peek a boo with another table and it was so cute.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/peekingminnie.jpg
Minnie must’ve needed a potty break then, because she went out of the room for a few minutes.
I was starting to eat when I felt something on the top of my head. I turned around to find Goofy there. He was kissing my head.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/candd.jpg
After Donald we really pigged out. Well I did. Skip had been the whole time, and Claire ate like a bird. ;)
When I finished up I took Claire to find a potty. When we got back, Skip said the waitress had brought the bill and when she came back to take the card, she told him he needed to check which tip he wanted to leave. He told her no, he was paying cash. She seemed mad about that, he said, and wondered if he did anything wrong. I told him no, that’s the way we always do it.
Skip decides to walk out to the lobby while we wait for the card, and he leaves me $5 to tip her. He was NOT impressed with her either. :sad2: The meal was a little over $50, so 5 was not the appropriate amount. But I understood how frustrating it was to have to tip a sucky server.
She brought the card back, but the receipt with the suggested tip amount was gone. So I did some figuring in my head and left a total of $8. She was probably mad about that, but she really did suck. And she was making out with me, if it was DH she wouldn’t have gotten as much. LOL! :)
So Claire and I finish up gathering our stuff and I get a tap on my shoulder. It was Minnie AGAIN. The restaurant was emptying out fast and she had made the rounds again already. So we took a few more quick shots. :cloud9:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/minniepose.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/hugstocapemayminnie.jpg
We then walked out to the lobby to find Skip. I thought this chair was cool and told Claire to sit on it so I could take her picture. This is how she does it. UGH!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/bigchair.jpg
We then headed out to the car and drove back to Pop. We walked Skip to the room, Claire and I grabbed the stroller and our bag and then headed to the bus stop. We were now on our way to one of the most anticipated activities. The Wonderland Tea Party! Claire was super excited about this.

Great pictures.. I'm loving your TR.. I can't wait to see the tea party.. Is that the same Alice dress from last year or did you buy a new one? I remember reading about the waiting to get it right before your trip.. It's really cute on her!
We just got this dress a few weeks before going. But this is our first and only one. I did post pictures in my pre trip report of her wearing it the day we got it though.

I just started it, but everytime I try to paste a picture in my report (I am writing it in Word) it keeps deleting stuff, so I'm going to do the old faithful, of shutting off the computer and restarting it. LOL! Not sure why the heck it is deleting when I am hitting paste? :confused3 So anyways, I'll try working on it later and get at least some posted tonight. If not, for sure I'll have some up in the morning. We are goingto be busy tomorrow, so not sure how much more I will get up in the daytime,
We are going to go see Hannah Montanna. I know you are all jealous! LOL! My friend is goingto come do my hair and then we are taking the girls to the movies. It should be loads of fun! :lmao:

Thanks you. I laugh looking at that picture of him holding that. That was her Minnie mouse figure with the dresses. She thought she would impress Minnie at breakfast by having it. Of course she opened it in the car and the peices went flying everywhere. But we found them all

Off to the Wonderland Tea party. It is held at 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian. So we bused to MK and then boated over to GF. I was told to get there about 1, but when we got there no one was there to check us in. :confused3 I noticed another lady and little girl walking in the area too. So we just roamed the lobby a bit till someone came. Of course the camera was out and ready! :cutie:

About 1:15 two CM’s came out and we checked in. The girls that had gathered started to become instant friends. :grouphug: I talked to the CM’s a little bit along with a grandmother of another girl. They seemed really nice and fun. They truly seemed to enjoy their job.
At 1:30 they gathered at the door and it was time to go in.

They got to go in and pick a seat. They also were allowed to bring in their autograph books. Good thing I remembered to pack it!

And then they told them to put there hand in the air.

So I kept taking pictures on my way out and Claire said “mom, you need to go” :rolleyes1

I don’t know if you all know this or not, but parents CAN”T stay for the party. I was so sad I was missing out on what they would be doing and getting pictures of it. :sad1: But I knew she would have fun.
So I got her settled in and left. I decided to go upstairs to Mickey’s Mercantile and see if they had the tinkerbell figure to exchange. I walked around and spotted them! YAY! But my bag with broken tink was down in my stroller. So I walked back to get it and as I approached I heard some banging.
When I walked near 1900 PF I see it is Alice and the Mad Hatter banging on the doors to the tea party. Then when the CM would open it they would run to another door and bang on that. They kept doing it and then finally they went in. You could hear the kids all laughing.

The Disney site was still showing it for $25, but I knew from on here that the price had gone up. Though with lunch and a picture included, it still isn't a bad "Disney" price.
wow it looks like loads of fun, i wish i could be little again and go to that.
I know, I so wanted to go. They do have an Aurora one that a parent can attend, the price is really outrageous. I think it's $180 for the 2 of you. They do get a Disney doll with it though too. But I still find that steep.
The tea party looks so cute, too bad you couldn't enjoy it as well. I hope Claire like it.

There is a photographer there, but not photopass. You get a 4 x 6 print, but it can't be added to your photopass. If your child is old enough and you trust them with a camera, they can take it in with them and the staff will take one on your camera.

I'm just getting caught up on your TR after reading what you have done on your dining review. I'm enjoying it very much!
I am glad Skip was able to stay for Claire's sake! But I would highly recommend a girls only trip with you, Paige, Claire, and your mom sometime if Claire (and Skip) will go for it! My DH didn't really enjoy Disney that much on our first trip (he did like some of the rides, etc, but I could tell the whole time he wasn't really "feeling" it, which brought me down! :sad2:)
On our most recent trip, just me, DD, and my mom went down, and he was happy as can be having the house to himself, and I didn't have that pressure of trying to keep him happy while trying to enjoy myself!!! :thumbsup2 :Now on THAT trip, my MOM was sort of a "buzz-kill"!!! THESE PEOPLE!!! So next time we are going with "DISNEY LOVERS ONLY" (my aunt and her BF), and if that doesn't work out, it will just be DD and me from here on out. I can't be spending my precious time at WDW with people who are not as thrilled to be there as I am! ;)

There isn't a "photographer". It was one fo the CM's taking the picture with a digital camera. I was going to send in a camera with Claire and total forgot and left it in the room. It was my first digital that we never use anymore and now is what I let her shoot with at home.

So after the unexpected sighting of Mad Hatter and Alice I picked up the Tink toy and went back upstairs to return it. It was a smooth exchange with no problems. :worship: I browsed a bit and kept myself from buying the cool light up Spinning Mickey toy that Brookelizabeth talked about getting her son. It was super cute, but I didn’t want to get one without Claire there. LOL! ;)
I wandered in and out of some shops and took random pictures.

I then decided I was tired of taking pictures with the bag (holding the tink toy) in my hand, so I went down to the stroller to put it in there.
AGAIN, I lucked out and got a great surprise!
The Mad Hatter had just opened the door and was marching out. At first I thought it must be time for him to leave, but NO! All the kids followed out too. :dance3:

Donald is so cute in his swimsuit! Last time we ate there it was Chip n Dale, Goofy, and Minnie. We loved the Beach Club cafe and it's on my list for this year. Your pics are so good of Claire with the characters! She really looks like she's having fun there! I have a story for you...last year we ate at Crystal Palace and had this hateful server. She did not refill or pre bus dirty dishes. When we asked her new dishes (the ones she brought out first were SLIMY!) she got mad an d slammed the new ones down at us. At the end when she brought the check back Sidney wrote cash on the check in the tip spot. (He had $10 out to leave her which was 15%, maybe even more for breakfast.) She started hsaking her head at him saying, "NO NO NO YOU HAVE TO PICK ONE OF THESE AMOUNTS!" We had heard stories like this and we both agreed before we ever went that if someone did this mess they were getting NOTHING! Well, needless to say...that $10 went to our lunch server in addition to her regular gratuity over at Tony's. She was wonderful so she walked with about 30% of the bill that day! I waited tables years ago and I just could not imagine what would have happened if I told someone to leave X amount of $. :sad2: First off I would have been fired! Disney is so hit or miss. Sometimes I get the best service and other times I get the biggest idiots that think they deserve $100 off of every table! :sad2: Service has gotten a little better since they removed the tip from the plan.
Your tea party looks small. Last year we had like 24 maybe even 30 kids in the one my kids went to. I think a small one one would be much more fun. It's a cute party isn't it? I love how the table is decorated! I wonder if they came out and played when my kids went? Probably not with so many. Mad Hatter in the bird cage...that would be hilarious!

Claire looks like she is having a ball!
I think i'm going to pretend im 4 for the day so i can go have fun with Alice and Mad Hatter :lmao:
ETA-How many children were there, doesnt look that many.
I think there was only 5 girls. The CM told me thay have had just 1 some days.
The tea party looked fun!! How many princesses dresses did you bring for Claire? We only brought DD 2 on our last trip. We couldn't fit anymore. Both of our suitcases weighed 48lbs. On the way home it was fun at the counter moving items back and forth to be under 50lbs! LOL
That is the same Hatter from our breakfast.... and yes he is CRAZY!!!!:rotfl2:
We brought 6. One for each day. But only a few other clothes because I knew for the most part she would only want to dress as a princess.
I think it is the same Mad Hatter.
I remember reading that on one of your TR's. I was close to leaving nothing to ours too. I actually had your TR flash through my mind then. LOL!
I think there were 5 girls. I'm guessing the went out because it was a smaller group and the weather was awesome. (I'm close to posting the next installment and they go outside there)

After the parade around the lobby they went outside to the little court yard. The handler stopped me as I was following (the grandma had already gone through) and asked me if I was with this party. I told her well yes, that my DD. She says well we really don’t want you taking pictures. UMMMMM TOOOO BAD!
Don’t tell me she wouldn’t be snapping pictures of her own DD if she was in the same position. :confused3
I turned around and just went out another door and snapped away again. LOL! :rotfl:
The grandma was talking to a manager looking guy from GF and was asking if she was enjoying herself. She went on and on how it was so neat to get these pictures and he said he was so glad that we got to see it. I’m going by what he said. LOL!
So on to the outside pictures.

Gee, I don't know for sure. She has alot of Disney ones and a few others ones for dress up. Some are nice than others. Tehre were 3 real nice ones that didn't come along with us. 2 are a bit too big yet, so we are waiting to grwo into them more before bringing them and one we just had to chose. My daughter and I have done a girls only trip twice. We bring a number of costumes into the park with us every day and have a ball trying to get pictures in costume with THAT character. Why limit yourself? We had a great time. If I don't have room in the suitcase, I bring another or take out some of MY things! They're only young once. Go for it and enjoy!
How awesome that the kids got to go outside with Alice and the Mad Hatter! My daughter has done this tea party twice and never done that. But it looks like you had a smaller group, so I imagine that made it easier.
My daughter's favorite part of the tea was when the Mad Hatter gargled with his tea (aka, apple juice)!

After they went in the grandma and I sat and started talking. She said that family had come a few minutes after they had shut the doors and just started banging on the doors. They had an ADR for dinner, but they thought it was for lunch at 1:30. They looked it up and it was for 4:30. I guess these people were really nasty and demanded to be let in, but of course were told a private party was going on and they don’t serve lunch here.
I guess they left really mad. :headache:
We also just talked a lot about all things Disney! :lovestruc It was a nice chat. She got a call then, so I went and walked a bit.
I saw this sign that I had missed the night we ate here for dinner, so I took a picture of that.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/characterdiningsign.jpg
Skip called me then and asked if we were done yet. It was only 2 and the party wasn’t over till 2:30. I reminded him if that. He said he was already at AK. He grumbled how this was his least favorite park and he was there early and by himself. LOL! :rotfl:
Oh well, the agreement had been that I would call him as soon as we were heading over there. Not my fault he went early. :confused3
I told him to go on some bigger stuff that Claire couldn’t ride till we got there.
I went back and chatted some more. We could hear laughing and all sorts of excitement in the room. I tried to peak through the window. It looked like Alice and the Mad Hatter were gone. It also appeared they were playing hide and seek. The kids were having a blast.
Before long the other parents were returning back to pick up the kids.
The guy CM came out to tell us it was time to get the kids, but he had gotten them to sleep, so walk in quietly.
As we walked in the girls were giggling and shaking from holding in their laughter.

We headed out to the bus stop to catch the bus to AK. I asked Claire about the tea party. She was just so excited about it. She said the Mad Hatter had such bad manners. He would burp and not say excuse me. He took a drink and gargled it, and threw grapes around the room at them. He even hit her with one, which was a highlight, I guess. LOL! :rotfl2:
Alice kept scolding him.:sad2:
I asked her if she ate anything and she said she tried everything. I couldn’t believe that. We had just had breakfast for one, and I was sure she would be too excited to eat, which is one reason I made sure she ate before we went. I told her I bet she was lying. The grandmothers GDD said “No, she did, she ate a bit of everything, but I didn’t eat a thing”. LOL! :rotfl:
They played while we waited for the bus. Soon their bus to HS came, so we sat waiting still. Another girl from the party was still waiting and she and Claire became “best friends” real fast. They were so cute. They both had pressed pennies and they made up some game with them. They were just giggling away.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/2newfriends.jpg
Notice the Tinkerbelle figurine bag? She was very happy with mommy for getting it replaced! :worship:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/2bfs.jpg
The little girl’s parents got a really great shot of them hugging too. It was so cute.
We waited and waited and waited for a bus. THREE HS busses had come, but still no AK one. I think we waited at least 30 minutes for one.
FINALLY it came. Claire and her new BF sat together. They giggled so much. They played eye spy together most of the was too.
When we arrived at AK they were both so disappointed that they had to part and hugged many times. The little girl said “we will never see each other again”, and Claire said “We WILL see each other again. We are best friends.” LOL! How sweet. :lovestruc
So we headed into AK and beeped Skip.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/treeoflife.jpg
We asked him where he was and this is the answer he gives me…… “I am near the big concrete tree with the fake leaves” I said “OK, so you are in front of it?” answer….”Um no, I can see it really good from where I am at”.:sad2:
LOL! OK, you can see that dang tree from just about any part of the park!
Claire and I, well mostly I. decided to stop for Photopass shots while we tried to figure out where he was.

After our photopass pictures we beeped Skip again. Here is the conversation.
Me…“So now where are you?”
him….. “just go over a bridge, I think a Dinosaur is near me”
Me … “ So you are in Dinoland ?”
Him…. “No, I don’t think so, just go over the bridge”
Me…. “I just walked over a bridge, do you know how many bridges are in this park?”
Him… “Just come over the big bridge”
Me… “ There are a bunch of bridges here, which one, what are you by”
Him… “ I am by a concrete restaurant”
Me… “What’s it called?”
Him… “I don’t see a sign, but I think we ate here once”
AHA!
Me.. “Tusker house?”
Him,…” I don’t see a sign, but the animal safari is not too far…hurry up the parade will be starting soon”
Me… “You’re in Africa, don’t you see the huge sign saying that? We’re on our way.”
LOL! I swear he has no sense of direction. :hippie:
So we go over the bridge into Africa and I beep him again and tell him we just came over the bridge and where is he? Of course he says he’s at the bridge. And I ask him if he sees me and he says no. So I tell him I am stopping and getting a spot for the parade because they have just closed off the road and no one can get through. I then turn to the side to get an open area while he continues you talk back at me on the phone, and who do I walk right into…HIM! He must be blind as a bat too. LOL! :rotfl2: How could he have not seen me come over the bridge?
He is holding a beer and it is REALLY hot there this day. I think the highest day in temps and AK always seems hotter anyways. So I park Claire and tell him I am going to get a drink..and I also hand Claire a Capri Sun.
I go and get a strawberry daiquiri, which was pretty good, but pricey, and then stopped off and took this picture.
I take one here every year.

I got back in time to see the parade was coming down the road.. Now here is where my Dh always becomes a nice guy. There were some smaller kids that came in behind us, and DH moved back and let them and their mom up next to Claire so they could see better. This lady was so grateful and told me a zillion times to thank him.

All caught up again. Are you sure you didn't go to FL for 4 weeks? Man, you guys did a lot! :)
The teaparty looked so fun! Wish I could go! :) Claire looked like she was just having the time of her life. You are so blessed!
I wish, though DH and I may have killed each other by then. LOL!

My husband laughs at me because the only time the camera is not around my neck is when we go on a "wet ride" and when we are eating. Even when we are eating, I have it sitting on the table or in a chair.

Ironically, I think we have watched this parade from about the same location every year. The first time might’ve been on the other side of the bridge, I can’t remember for sure. But pretty dang close to the same spot! LOL! :)
So after the parade went by, we took a small break back in the smoking section, and then Claire was thirsty again, so we stopped and got her a lemonade.
We then decided to go over to Asia. Skip had rode the Kali Rivers while waiting for us and swore that he didn’t get wet…..and he didn’t…and convinced Claire that she should go on with him again. :scared1: I said no way for me. I knew it would be the luck of the draw on that ride and I wasn’t going to be sloshing around the rest of the day.
As we started to make our way over there the parade had circled around and was coming back through. So we stopped briefly and Claire shook Baloo’s hand. :lovestruc
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/shakingwithBaloo.jpg
DH did NOT want to stop and watch again. LOL! :rotfl2: So we kept moving and made our way over there. I took Claire for a quick potty break again and then sent her with her dad. The line looked long, but I don’t think it was actually too bad.

She asked for all the dresses that Claire took to Disney for our next trip!! I hope she already has the dresses that Claire had for the rest of the trip! Thanks.

Oh How precious! That is so sweet. Good deal on the dress! I am so glad you found one. I really loved that dress because it was unique at the park.
I got the Alice Dress from Mrs B on ebay. But thats not her name on ebay. They talk about her on the BBB thread. I can try and get the info for you if you want. I have it tucked away somewhere. The only bad thing about the dress was the head hole didn;t stretch and we had a heck of a time getting her head through. Her head isn't big either? So if I knew that I would've bought the next size up.
Her dresses are all $29.99 plus I think it was $7.95 shipping. They are the same as at Disney world.
Heads up, the next two dresses she wears is the Jasmine out fit from Disney store last Halloween and the Aurora dress we bought at Disney last year.

I love your TR! My family is very similiar to yours I have 2 older children ages 20 and 17 (not at all interested in doing DW with me) and a 4 year old daughter who loves all things Disney. We're going to DW for the first time with our DD4 in September and staying at POP. My DH and I were at DW about 5 years ago before our DD was born, so I haven't been sure what to plan on doing with her and make ADR's for, but your TR is giving me some wonderful ideas to make her trip extra special. Thanks so much for taking the time to do this, it really is so helpful, and I can't wait to read more!!! :goodvibes

After starting to walk away from my crew, who had just got in line for Kali Rivers, I noticed everyone looking up. So I did too. There was this cute monkey carrying her baby across the line. It was cute. I tried to take a picture, but none really came out very good.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/2monkeys.jpg
I headed off for Expedition Everest.
I took these on the way.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/carrierwagon.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/everest.jpg
I got into the Single riders line. It kind of looked long, and I asked the CM how long and he said maybe 20 minutes, but it wasn’t nearly that long. It’s a great ride and I am glad I got to do it.
When I got off I beeped Skip and he said they had just got off and were a bit wet. He then went on to say his phone got wet, but it is working. He was worried though about how wet it got. Just how wet did they get? I asked if Claire was wet too and he said yes.
I told him where I was, and we met up. Walking up, Claire didn’t look too wet. That Alice dress will fool you. I felt her and she was soaked. I lifted the Apron on it and the only dry spot was a small circle under her apron. LOL! :rotfl2: I asked her if she wanted to change and she adamantly said NO! :rolleyes1 It was very hot out, so it probably felt pretty good.
DH said they got the bad spot this time around and totally got drenched. LOL! :lmao:
We decided to head over to Dinoland and see what was happening. We had just missed the Nemo show starting, so I knew there was no chance of seeing that this trip. That had been the last show of the day. Oh well, we’ll try to get to it another year. :confused3
So on to Dinoland!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/dinoland.jpg
After this picture, I must’ve put my camera away for awhile because there isn’t any other pics in Dinoland.
We went on Chester & Hester’s Dino-rama. It’s cute and fun. (just like Dumbo). Skip then went to see if Claire was tall enough for Primeval Whirl. She’s not yet. I won’t ride it though anyways. I did last year and it about made me sick. I don’t like the spinning parts.
We talked about it a bit and decided we would take Claire on Dinosaur. We told her it was a bit scary and she insisted she wanted to give it a try.
We walked over and parked the stroller, got Claire out and suddenly she had to go potty now! LOL! I think those wet clothes were getting to her. I took a change of clothes in too, (didn’t have a dry pair of undies with us though) and got her changed and all fresh.
Then on to Dinosaur….AGAIN. LOL! :rotfl2:
We got right in and did the pre-show and then right on to the car. I like it but it can be a bit scary even for adults. :scared1: I held Claire’s hand the whole time and told her to shut her eyes when I thought needed. She obeyed too.
When we got out we asked her what she thought and she said it’s scary and she knows it's pretends, but lets not do it again. LOL! OK! At least she gave it a try and did really well on it. Never once did she scream or anything.

I had been on it once before with my SIL the year before and loved it, just didn't remember how scary it could be. Plus my DD had been going on rides since she was 3 and was never scared, so I thought she'd be fine. Well, she cheered up pretty quick tho, as we continued our tour of the park!;)

Paige rode it for the first time when she was 7 and I htink Michael was 10 and they both loved it. I acutally think it had just opened then. It was a little different in Dinoland then. I know we waited in an outside que for the ride and I am positive the preshow room wasn't there yet. I'm thinking we might've watched it in line? Last year irode it for the first time since then and I thought, Wow, this is so different.
All the boneyard dig site was all open too. I don't think any of the game area was even there or those rides. I didn't take as many pics back then, mostly due to wasiting film, so the ones I took were of my kids and not scenery, but I'm sure it was much different.
I've also not taken Claire to the dig site yet, for fear that is what she wil lwant to do the rest of the day. LOL! I had a heck of a time getting Paige and Michale out of there way back when.

So far we've been lucky and Claire hasn't cried. Last year she did some whining on Haunted Mansion, and in 2007 she LOVED it. This year she refused to go on it. LOL! I am so glad she is at least willing to try alot of stuff out.

[QUOTE=jenseib;30840987]Hello everyone! We just got back from a 6 night trip to WDW, celebrating my 40th birthday! :cool1: The trip was March 8-14, but my birthday was actually Feb 14. ;)

We have gone to WDW in March for the past couple of years (2007, 2008, and now 2009) and really enjoy it, and the weather is usually pretty decent, and crowds aren’t too bad. :thumbsup2
I did a pre-trip report for anyone interested. It does state some ideas I had, and most I did use. Also, it gives the background and more about my family.
Here is the link.
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=30188542&posted=1#post30188542
I’m going to pretty much dive into the trip report right off. If you want any background info, there is a lot about us on the first page of my pre trip report.
I took A LOT of pictures this trip, and will post a lot of them. It may start out slow, but once I get going, there will be a ton. And once I get my photopass CD, I’ll post those too. (I had over 200 of those before I even added borders!)
[B]The basics…
DH is a dairy farmer. I’m currently a stay at home mom. I have two older children, but they really don’t do Disney any more.
Claire is DH’s only child and she is much younger than the other two, so we both tend to treat her like the princess she is. LOL! Claire also loves to dress up…so we brought a lot of costumes, and she prefers dresses to shorts, so I also brought some sundresses for her too. She’s a very girly girl, who likes to wear a dress out to the barn to help dad![/
I've been reading your dining review w/ great enjoyment - so I decided to give your trip report a try. Glad to see a pic of you there, so I can put a face to the great stories.
hugs, Karen

I knew there was a 6:00 showing for the Festival of the Lion King and this was one of the 2 shows I had wanted to try and see, so we headed that way. Being that we never have seen the show, I wasn’t 100% sure the way, but we just kept going on instinct. :hippie:
We stopped for a family photopass.

The lady told Claire to hold her arms out and a baby brother would appear. LOL! Claire had no clue what she meant and was very puzzled. So was Skip!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/babysimbabrother.jpg
We then saw a CM directing people over to the Lion King, so we knew we were heading the right way.
We passed one of those vending carts that sells different souvenirs, and Claire started spazzing out over a stuffed Simba. Totally crying over it. I told her I wasn’t stopping now, we had to get in and get a seat. But after the show we would look at it. I told her she still had spending money. She did the laugh cry thing where she is so happy, but can’t stop crying. LOL! She kept saying to Skip, “I still have spending money dad!”
I tried to sit near the front because I have heard sometimes kids get picked for things. For what I had no clue, but I figured lets try.
We sat in the Lion section.
I had no idea what to expect and all I can say is WOW!
This show was AWESOME! I couldn’t believe the talent and all the action and just the fun I had during it. My eyes were wide as saucers taking it all in.
Skip was really impressed by the “monkeys” on the trampoline. I am so glad this was the show we made it to.

Claire was picked as one of the kids to go out and dance and shake one of the musical instruments, but she said no thank you. ????????? I asked her why and she said she already danced at the parade yesterday. Oh well. LOL!
As soon as it was over she said, “now we go get Simba” What a one tracked mind!
So we headed out and went to the vendors stand. We picked on out and I went to pay. I asked if it was on sale because plushes had been on sale for 25% all over the park and it was, but even on sale it was the most expensive thing we bought her (excluding the castle) LOL!
She was excited it was on sale and kept telling Skip, “Dad it was on sale” and Skip said it was sad that she knew about “on sale” and “clearance”. LOL!

We live in the country but the twons near us all have really small populations too.
The $200 gift card was a promotion Disney had. If you booked the 4/3 deal for certain dates it also included a $200 gift card to spend at Disney as well. We actually booked a 4/2 deal though. You could do any variation as long as it was more than 4 and 7 or less. The card was wonderful. I told DH with the deal and gift card it was like saving $500. He didn't see it that way though. Babies grow fast I got the dress in Sept of 08 and she turned 1 on thursday well the dress doesn't fit anymore :rotfl:. Everytime I see your photos it makes me laugh at how many faces Claire can do. :lovestruc
Thats so funny you asked about the dress. DH's Aunt bought it in CANCUN! LOL!

YAY! That is so hysterical that she wants to wear al lthe same dresses. How many days are you going for? I assume you are going for free dining. I wish I could do that some year. I like going when we do, but I would love to try different times of year as well. In the past I have gone twice in May and once in early July. Never agin in July. It was so crowded!
We are going for 7 days. She wants to take the Alice dress, Jasmine outfit, Belle dress (for not so scary halloween party), Aurora dress, Tinkerbell dress (really pretty white swig type dress I found on clearance at the Disney store),and Cinderella. She really wants a Pocahantas outfit but I don't know if I can find that one! Out of all the dress she has (stopped counting at 30) she is still finding ones that she doesn't have, especially during this trip report! Yes, we are going for free dining. This last trip is was just Hope and I but the Sept. trip is for the entire family (DH and 3 DS's). It won't be as girly and the game plan will be much different but still fun!! I loved the weather in March, it was perfect. I am hoping that Sept. will be nice too. Hope rode Dinosuar too. She didn't cry but she said once was enough! I guess we have some brave 4 year olds.

I think I saw that white Tink dress at Disney store.
It was cute, but too much money at full price.
We have a really cute one that is a full length one I got off the internet. I've never seen it before, or after. I had won it for really cheap too. Like $22 including shipping.

Yea the Tink dress was regular 59.99 but it was sale for 39.99 and I couldn't pass it up. They had so many on clearance it was hard to choose. Hope had a beautiful full length Tink dress. She wore it to see Tinkerbell and it was tight on her (it was a 3t)and as we were walking out from seeing Tink she asked if she could give the dress to a little girl in line. I almost started crying becuase that dress meant a lot to me (took years to get pregnant for her and it was the first thing I bought when I found it was a girl) but I knew she wasn't going to be able to wear it much longer. She took the dress off and walked up to this maybe 2 year old girl and asked if she would like a dress to meet Tink in. She handed the dress to the little girl and the mom started crying, it was the little girls birthday and she had asked for a Tink dress. The mom offered to pay for it but I said no and that she could just pay it forward by giving it to someone when she outgrew it. It was very special. I was so proud of her.

Claire stated that she was hungry then, so we headed off to Pizzafari.
Skip said he was going to search for a bathroom. As soon as we walked in there was one, but he was gone by then. But Claire and I used it and then ordered
I got a sandwich and she got spaghetti and meatballs. I also ordered chocolate cake, which I normally don’t like, but love it at Disney.
I never realized till later that night that they forgot to give it tome. My plan had been to save it and eat it for a snack, and I guess I never paid attention at the time. NOW’s the time to call me IDIOT! :headache: LOL! :rolleyes1
Here is Claire posing with her new best friend. :lovestruc
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/simbaandClaire.jpg
Skip came back and ended up finishing off Claire’s food, though she did eat a good amount, but it was a very large portion for a kid.
Claire wanted to go back to the hotel and swim. Skip wanted to go back too, but I wanted to browse the shops as we went. They decided they would go ahead and get back and I could then browse freely and meet them back there. Hurray! AND they took the stroller too! I was totally free.
:woohoo:
I browsed around looking for that sweatshirt I wanted. I just had a hard time making up my mind. I found 2 I really liked. I finally decided I should get one with the year on it since that is what I always do and should keep up the tradition now.
Here’s what I got.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/2009sweatshirtfront.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/2009sweatshirtback.jpg
I then decided since I was alone it would be a good time to go and pick out the free 5x7 photopass picture.
I found the place easily enough and had a short wait. The scanned my card and goes “wow, you have a lot of pictures!” LOL! I had over 200 at the point on there. YAY me!
He asked if I had any idea what picture I would like to get so we didn’t have to go through all of them. I told him yes, I would like to look at the ones from today because I wanted the family one with Claire holding Simba. We found it, but Simba hadn’t been added to her arms yet. But the earlier ones had????? He said no problem and put a Simba in her arms for me.
This is the one I got.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/animalkingdom-1.jpg
He did tell me that the Simba would be added later on my photopass, so not to worry. But when I got home it wasn’t along with several of the Tinker bells. I emailed photopass and in less than 12 hours they were on the pictures.
I headed out the front of the park then and made a stop to look around. I never really paid much attention to the entrance area before. And I never paid attention that Rain Forest was there. LOL! I had read it was, but never looked at it.
I turned around and got this last shot.

I went out to the bus stop then and a bus was loading, so I ran and caught it. :goodvibes
It’s kind of nice riding without my family sometimes. LOL! :thumbsup2
I got back to find them in the pool. Skip said they had just gotten in and I must’ve took the next bus. I told him I really didn’t hurry back. But I guess they had waited quite awhile for a bus, and I was lucky to have one there when I got to the bus depot.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/popatnight.jpg
While they were in the pool I decided to check on doing another load of laundry. :laundy: No go on that. The laundry room was packed. Much better to do it in the AM.
I called home and talked to my dad a bit.
Claire and Skip went and got some food and ate it.
I then took Claire to the arcade to use the 30 minute card we got with our package. This thing is a dud. Only works on certain games, which I knew ahead of time. But not on anything Claire wanted to do. And it has so much time before you can use it again. Some games we would “die” immediately and it wouldn’t let us use it again till after awhile. I also think it completely stopped working about 5 or more minutes before it should have. But it was free, so I guess I shouldn’t complain.
While we were playing, Skip went up to the bar and had a rum and coke. He said it wasn’t very good. :drinking1
The shuttle was supposed to launch on this day, so Claire and I walked out front to see if we could catch a glimpse. NOTHING! So we went back in and Skip met up with us and told us that the launch had been canceled.
We decided to go settle down. It was getting late and it had been a very busy day. ::yes::
When we got back to the room, I remembered I had Claire’s Alice dress in a plastic bag still. I pulled it out. Lets just say this dress isn’t made for water. :rolleyes2 LOL!
It had bled all over the apron and collar. I rinsed it out in the tub and more and more blue just ran out. I just gave up. I got some stain stick and put it all over the white parts, and hung it up. I figured at home I would try it in the washer. (and it did come out pretty good then) :stir:
Claire was bouncing all over with her new Simba. :simba: I told her to settle down over and over and she said that it was Simba’s fault. He wasn’t behaving and she was trying to get him to settle down. LOL! :jumping1:
About 11 she finally drifted off. :faint: But not me! Nope, I was being serenaded by two snoring people! Claire is just as loud as Skip. When he would snore, she would take a breath, and when he took a breath, she would snore. UGH! I was going crazy. I put TWO pillows over my head to drown them out and finally I went to sleep.
And that is the end of day 4!

I did get it at AK, but it is in all the parks. I know for sure I saw it at MK. But it wasn't at Pop's gift shop, which I was surprised about, because the last 2 years they had the one I bought. But they did have a grey one with the year on it, but it was almost like the one I bought two years ago, and I didn't like it as well.

Oh bless her, they are a lovely. I love Claires shoes.
She wore those shoes all day. I thought she would want to change into something more comfy.
where did you get that alice dress from? we are doing this in sept and my daughter would love to dress up like alice. she wants to match everyone there, lol.
I got it from someone on ebay.
love the report so far! Beautiful pictures!!!
Thank you!
Someone was asking if you saw this sweatshirt anywhere else... I saw this same sweatshirt in the CSR gift shop. My wife almost bought it but someone talked her out of it.:rolleyes1
Shame on you!
That jacket is really cute!:cutie:
Do you just call the dining number to schedule the tea party? How much was it again?
Yes call the dining number. I think including tax it was 42.60
Great trip report!! Thanks for taking the time to write it.
Your little girl is soooo cute!! I have a DD the same age and she loves her Disney dresses too. However, she is not as brave as your DD. She still hasn't forgiven me for taking her on Dinosaur and Tower of Terror was completly out of the question. My DD did like Test Track though. Did you go to EPCOT on your trip?
Yes we did EPCOT too. That will be my next day!

I hear ya. Freebies are nice and I missed them all this time. :rotfl2: I am about to go delete and prepare everything I have still on memory cards. (Which is all of December and March) It's funny, I have so many nice empty dated WDW albums and they sit empty. Not for long though. I'd better get to it right now. I'm checking out those books too. I have to back up everything....I wont delete a thing until it's backed up and saved on a disc.
I like Claire's BBB pics...that last one in your post is my fave. :goodvibes
Thanks. I have more to post. I hope to have time later. I've been on the go all day, and now I'm putting away some winter clothes and getting out some of the summer stuff. I had to buy more tote bins today to fit all the stuff in. Plus going through what is too small for Claire now. I would love to get rid of it all, but alot are handy downs from my sister and she is trying to adopt again, so until we know the sex of the baby, we are keeping everything.

The twirling ones are the cutest things! And I love the gazing up at the lightbulb (both versions), your first photographer was amazing. I do like that last family shot that the other photographer took though, she did a good job on that one, even if she couldn't frame the first! You should give her some tips!

The photo are included with the largest package from BBB, but anyone can basically go and get pictures done. They do put it on your photopass. I guess the people at the desk have been a little bit more of a stickler though and will want you to purchase photos, so bypass the desk.

The game was a pizza making game to help with memory. I got it on clearance for like $3.50 a little while back. It also came with a book and a CD, but we haven't read or listen to those yet. She hasn't really played the game either, she just keeps making pizzas for me to eat. LOL!

Bascially its a low scale version of the BBB in the Disneyland Hotel, they have 3 packages all of different prices. I think 2 of them include dresses, but tbh I wouldnt pay for no dress from DLRP they are of such cheap quality for a astronomical prices. I do like the Giselle dress but DD doesnt like her because she isnt a Princess :rotfl:

Day 5
Thursday March 12
3rd Times a Charm!
This is what has been known as puke day for the last 2 trips. LOL! If you remember I had mention that every year we come down on a Sunday and every year, so far, Claire has gotten sick on Thursday.
Well here is where the title comes in! She was FINE the whole day! Letting her sleep and not running completely ragged did work for us! YAY!
I know it looks like we did a lot, and we did, but I wasn’t pushing us at the parks to do stuff, and going at a leisurely pace made a difference.
On to the day!
The plans for the day.
Epcot
Arkershus at 4:20
Skip and Claire wanted to do the Behind the seeds tour
I was hoping to last until the Illuminations show since we have yet to see it. I did see it about 10 years ago, but I think some has changed since then.
I woke up around 6:30. It’s hard to sleep with a pillow on your head. I gathered the laundry and took it up to the empty laundry room. :laundy:
While the laundry was going I showered and went up and got some breakfast. I settled at a table outside our door and began to write in the journal to try and catch up with everything. :surfweb:
Skip woke up around 9 and came out the door. He went up for coffee. I gave him my mug and told him to get me a lemonade refill.
I went in and checked on Claire. She woke up at around 9:45
I can’t remember what the gift for the day was, and I didn’t take a picture.
Here is the note I “think” she got that day.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/Bellenote.jpg
We knew she was going to wear her Jasmine outfit today, because of the Akershus dinner, but Claire decided to bring it along and wear a sundress to the park..
Skip came back in the room shortly after we got her dressed and said “the freaky guys are out at the pool.” I ran out and didn’t get any good pics, but from other morning’s I knew what it was.
I think at 10 everyday they officially open the pool. The lifeguards come out with multicolored wigs on and pick a child to help use magic to turn on the daisy sprinklers. The Sprinklers were on already when I got out there.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/openingpoppool.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/openingpool.jpg
We finished packing our bag then and headed to the bus stop. About 2 minutes before the bus got there, Claire started panicking because she left Simba in the room. I told her the bus was about to come and I was not walking back, but we would get her something special at Epcot. :sad1: Well I should’ve just went back and got it because she whined the whole bus ride and while walking in too. :sad2: UGH! Not loudly or crying, but just constantly talked about how she missed him and he was scared by himself, etc.:scared:
Finally I told her if I had a chance later on I would go get him…never intending to. LOL!
When we got to the entrance we had to wait a little bit to get in. There were some long lines and it seems I get behind the people who can’t figure out how to use their ticket.

Wow.. I was gone for a couple of days and just caught up on your TR.. beautiful pictures of BBB!! I really LOVE that dress on Claire, especially how it spins. I like how you put the three next to each other on your sig to really show how it can do that.. she truly is like a little princess!!! princess: Please remind me where you got it.. I love how it is long.. I was so inspired by all of your dresses that I looked at disneyshopping website to buy one for my niece (as I don't have a daughter of my own :( anyway.. all they have are the short ballerina style ones, and I prefer the ones that Claire has on that are long and really look princess like.. I'll also look on Ebay at the ones you suggested previously, but I have yet to see that Belle one..
I am in the same boat as some of the others when I say that I will be sad when your TR is over.. you'll have to go back just so you can write another one for us to read ;)
Oh, I wanted to let you know, although you probably already do.. but just in case... when you look at your photopass pictures, you can edit your picture to zoom in so that you can cut out certain things you don't want (I'm specifically referring to the picture of Claire and your DH with the extra background). I believe you already got your CD, but maybe a heads up for next time.. before you order the CD and are still doing the edits. It's on the tab above the one where you can put borders. Zoom in and save a copy and then all that extra stuff will be cut out. And then you can still add all the cool borders around it.
ok.. can't wait to hear about the next day.. I love that Belle note.. you are so creative.. oh and yes.. 3rd times a charm! I'm glad to hear she didn't get sick this time around.:thumbsup2

We finally got into Epcot, and with Claire still somewhat complaining, I totally bypassed the photopass photographer without thinking. LOL!
We headed towards the land to see when they could take the tour, and we snapped a few pictures on the way.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/hippobushes.jpg
We got to the land and saw the Soarin still had fast passes. We got one for 12:40. I was excited. We have never rode it yet, and now Claire was big enough to. :woohoo:
We then got in line for the behind the seeds tour.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/theland.jpg
There was one for 11:15 (it was just around 11), but only room for one person. Claire wanted to do this with DH, so DH asked if they could still do the 11:15 since the second person was so small. LOL! And they let him. Then DH griped when they told him the price. I told him at home the price and he was fine with it then. It wasn’t very much either. I think $16 for him and a little less for Claire and they then gave them the AAA discount on top of that too.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/jenseib/payingfortour.jpg
We then took Claire potty and decided on a meeting time and spot…right back there since it would be fast past time then, and we could do that next…..
I said goodbye and went off on my own. :yay:
I walked around a shot a lot of pictures.

It's a cricle of diamonds. I have a rich aunt and she gave me and my sisters each one for Christmas one year. It is buy some designer, and his mark is to have a ruby on the back side of it. I have matching earings too, but I really don't like them as much. She always buys us expenseive jewelry, well used to. One year I told her not to buy me anymore jewlery as I never go anywhere to wear it it much, and most just sits in the box, well I think she got mad abou that. She bought my sisters and I each a ring, but it was super ugly. My one soister and I ask if she would exchange it, and she said she would just give us the money. Well she called me a few months later and told me she was going to buy my sone a car, and sh was putting that money towards it. Which was fine....But I haven;t received a gift from her since then, and neither has my one sister. But the one who kept the ring just got a gucci (sp?) purse for her birhtday. LOL! :rolleyes1
