Can we just take envelopes and put their tips in accordingly? At first I was going to put the tips on the room charge at the beginning of the week but how do we adjust the amounts if we do this? Can we just take envelopes and put our tips in them after we see if they should have more/less?

You get your envelopes on Thursday. You can charge them to your Key to the World card, however, we put cash in ours and personally hand them to the correct people. Your choice.

We do sort of a "combo." We charge the regular tip amounts early, in order to avoid the long lines that form at Guest Services later in the cruise. Then we added extra cash and/or phone cards for anyone who goes above and beyond the call of duty.
Interestingly, at Palo for high tea, they do not give you a slip to sign in order to tip your server (unlike dinner or brunch, there is no charge for high tea). I saw one person leave some cash, but we had none with us, so I slipped up later with a phone card. Carita and Salvatorre in Palo are the best!

You had Salvatorre, too. It's a small world isn't it. He is good. I had him as my server for Thursday's brunch on the inaugural Western Caribbean cruise. He won't recognize me from the moniker I use on this board, so, if anybody has him in the future, just say that "Stateroom 7524, Inaugural Cruise, Western Caribbean, Thursday's Brunch," says hello and wishes him the best. Enjoy!

you can do it either way. last time I spent more than what i had planned on, so i did charge a couple of the tips to our room and got the vouchers, and I paid cash for some.
