We will be flying into sarasota to visit some friends before our stay in Disney.
We are looking for resort/accomodations on the gulf for 3 nights only.
Its hard to pick from some of the sites. I have had rather bad luck in prior picks for vacations.
Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

I have not been to Siesta Key yet, but have done the research. If you are not staying for a week minimum there are few choices. According to Trip Advisor, Tropical Shores is currently #1 among the few that rent nightly.

I found the prices are good. When I compared booking engines it was cheapest to book directly through the Tropical Shores website. From what I read it's best to pay the extra to stay in the (newer) Shores rather than the (older) Sun resort. http://www.tropicalshores.com/
We decided to stay for a week at a 2 br condo instead.

We loved the Capri Inn on Siesta Key last summer. It is not directly on the beach, but is a short walk away. The price was reasonable and we were able to do a 3 night stay. We'd go back in a heartbeat!

Siesta Key has the most beautiful beach!
If you are going for the beach you will not be disappointed

Laurabelle thanks for your help. I just found the Tropical Shores last night when I finally had time to research also. The rates seems reasonable for the wed & thurs. nights that we will be there but for fri. night it tripled in price.
I we could work this into our budge, this might be a possibility.

Yes, I noticed the rates really jumped for Fri. & Sat. nights. and a week long stay there was much more expensive than the weekly rate at the condo I booked. I belong to AAA and saw them there as well, but again, the Tropical Shores website rate was the cheapest. I hope it works out for you too!pixiedust:
