We have been on other cruise lines and they have had safes in each stateroom. Does Disney have this as well?

Yes, it is in your closet. It should be open when you get there. Put something in, close the door, and then swipe a card (kttw or credit) to lock it.....but beware....the same card that locked it must be used to open it(if you use your kttw to lock, your spouses kttw will not open it).

yes, as pal2pluto said they do have safes and you have to have the same card to open/lock it. although, if for some reason you aren't able to open the safe with that card again or you don't have access to the card, a CM will come and open it for you!

Thank for the information. We have never used one where you swipe a card but we are usually together so I don’t see it as a problem.

when we went on DCL last january, we realized that the safes were different that what we had seen in the past. Frankly i thought they were much 'safer and secure' because you had to use a card swipe to get them to open.
