We are counting down the days...getting ready for a long flight from sunny CA to FL for the cruise. Busy setting aside the snorkel gear and such for our adventure. DD5 and DS8 are getting very excited (so are mom and dad!).
Hey...last I heard the shuttle launch was further delayed at least until next Tuesday, perhaps longer. Maybe there is a chance we'll see it take off. Wouldn't that be a blast (no pun intended)!

We're getting packed today and actually leave Tuesday AM early. Then staying at OKW until Saturday and then we're off to the "big boat". Then we will finish off the trip at the HRH doing the Universal/IOA thing.
We have a 14 YO DS and 17 YO DS that are looking forward to the trip (pushing them to finish packing today as well  ). So much going on on Monday we're trying to avoid the "midnight packing" before a 6:50am flight.
We're almost there!!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Fixed seabreezes today, and floated around our pool, discussed what we would be doing 1 week from today! Now, no one in my family can wear any "cruise-ware" from Wednesday on! HAHAHA:smooth:
WDVeteran_15, We too are going to the HRH after the cruise. We will be there for 5days and 4 nights. Then we will be making our long trip back to Reno, Nevada. I am glad to here there will be some kids there the same age as mine, DD 17yrs and DS 13yrs.

We are also on the June 8 departure - no kids though - just DH and me - but we are already counting the "get up" mornings for work before our long awaited holidays! Also looking forward to some warmer weather - it was only about 50 here today - bring on that Florida sun and humidity!
Hope to see all of you on the ship somewhere,

Did laundry today. Ironed some things we will pack, that I know will get wrinkly. (keeps me busy!)
Went to dry cleaners for 2 of my dresses. Was going to the bank for $2.00 bills, but didn't make it there today. Another day bites the dust! :)

We are down to the final countdown! Just finished hemming my daughters dress for formal night and filling out my cruise documents. I'm in dire need of a pedicure and I still have to pack my suitcase. Think I'll wait until Thursday night for that. Hopefully just one more trip to Target!
Are the rest of you ready?

Hi June 8, Western Magic Disboard cruisers. Busy wrapping up all of the work and kids school stuff so we can finish packing. Had to take one out of school early, so that compressed the year end activities. I'm sure school-age parents will understand.
I don't have time to get lime ribbon, but I do have a lime-colored beach bag I'll bring to Magic's pools. If you see me, please say hi. It's been fun sharing the excitement of planning/anticipating this vacation. DD5 and DS8 are very excited (Mom and Dad too)!

As a mom and a 1st grade teacher............I feel anything DISNEY is worth taking your kids out of school for! HAHAHAHAHAHA! But, we are kind of fanatical about our mouse! Hmmmm...... lime green ribbons. I forgot about those. Are they just a small green strip of satin ribbon folded, like the pink breast cancer ones? I also have a lime green Old Navy beach type bag. Maybe I should take mine too!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

From what I've read, lime green lapel ribbons (like the pink breast cancer ones) have been a disboard tradition. I don't have any ribbon, so a small lime green beach bag will have to do. I'll bring it to the pool. If you spot me, DH or kids DD5, DS8, please say hello. I'll keep my eye open for your lime green bag as well, Tchrmom. See on the boat, err ship!

I was in our fabric store yesterday. They had every possible shade of green ribbon, EXCEPT for lime! The even had an "olive" colored spool! Who needs OLIVE colored ribbon? Oh well, not important enough to spend all day searching.
I had a hard time sleeping last night! I kept waking up, thinking about the cruise! As soon as DH gets home this afternoon, we will drive over to the Cocoa Beach Hampton. Can't Wait!!!!!!! Wishing clear skies for all those flying in!
Well, we are leaving Nevada in about 3 hours from now. We are staying at the airport Hyatt tonight. I don't have any lime green to waer on Saturday but my Semi-formal dress does happen to be lime green. I guess I will just watch for all of you with your lime green bags or ribbons on Saturday. I will be the lady with the semi-long Red hair. Seey Ya all there !!!!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
