Spectromagic Dole Whip Meet May 16, 2009 @ 8pm - UPDATED 5/25 WITH PICTURES (pg 10)!

All fellow DIS'ers out there who would like to join us for what has been described as a "slice of heaven on earth" (I'm talking about the Dole Whip) are cordially invited to the Spectromagic Dole Whip Meet on May 16th, 2009 at 8pm in the Magic Kingdom at ALOHA ISLE in the Adventureland.

The Plan:

Meet at Aloha Isle in Adventureland at 8pm.

While enjoying good company and making some new friends you get to enjoy a Dole Whip. What is a Dole Whip you ask? Well If you've never had one (and I fall into this category too which is wrong on so many levels since I've been going to Disney since '73), it is a frozen concoction made with vanilla ice cream and pineapple swirled together. Sounds gross? Not your cup of tea? Well don't worry because they have you covered. In addition to the Dole Whips, chocolate and vanilla soft serve ice cream is offered and you can also get coke or root beer floats.

After the Spectromagic Dole Whip Meet, if you'd like, you can stick around while we stake out a place to watch SPECTROMAGIC at 9PM!!

It is also noted is that WISHES will be shown this evening too at 10PM.

:lmao: That's right I decided to add the meet to our plans for sure. Only thing is that we still might back out the day off if we are too tired. We are leaving the house at 3am that day and if we follow previous years patterns we won't sleep beforehand due to excitement. :laughing: Hopefully we will be awake enough to go though, usually I am wide awake that first day, probably from all the excitement of being there that being sleep deprived has no effect. :rotfl:

This trip it is just me and a friend. He isn't one to stay out late :( usually so I might be there by myself.
Me - just a 35yo male who loves traveling especially to anything Disney. This trip is just a reason to use the advantages of an ap and good airfair prices (was just there in Feb also). I don't plan on being to organized this trip but since joining DIS meeting a few new people is a good thing, that and getting some FL sun at typhoon lagoon and going back to OR with a tan. :cool1: I would do the Epcot one also but that is the day I leave :(

I have never done TSM so have to be a RD for that if want to that a couple of times !!The Dole Whip Meet came out of Jason and I discovering neither had tried a Dole Whip and as I had planned to watch Spectro that night (my first) I wated to also have a Dole Whip!!!
Now when I go again in September with the family much more plannign will be involved!!

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't the float the dole whip with the pineapple juice? So technically if you have the float you are having both!

DH was so funny the other night at dinner I brought up this meet. I told him that we were gonna go meet a few other dissers. He was like "Why would I want to meet neurotic disney crazies?" (he was just kidding, so don't hate him too much, haha). And I said "Well that is just a shame, you can take DS4 elsewhere while I get a dole whip float". And he was like "So what time are we meeting them? We don't want to be late." HAHA. He is such a funny guy sometimes.

I would go for the float ~ you get lots of the dole whip on top and it's just incredible with the pineapple juice :cloud9:

They have a self serve dole whip machine at the Poly you know ~ you can really pile it on!
