I just went to the SOG page and they had an artist rendition of what the resort will look like when it gets done. It looks great in the picture. One of the pictures showed a nice size (wide) water fall going into what I assume was the pool. I was just wondering if anyone on the board had any more info about what the works for the SOG remodel.

What I am really wondering is just how much the rates will go up after this remodeling. Looks like a serious upgrade. Afraid they will increase the rates so only officers can afford to stay there. :(

SoG has always turned a profit as well as getting support from our PX and commissary profits. I think they are just turning the profits back into the resort. I believe the expansion is so more military people of all rates can enjoy WDW. I don't think this will become officer's country.

I stopped in the temp sog office when I was there in April.
The waterfall is not part of the pool, its part of the landscaping.
I did not ask about a price increase. I know the per night fees at the other Air Force resorts in Hawaii and S. Korea are the same at SOG. I don't imagine they would raise one without raising them all.

If you believe what we're told, money is extremely tight. I would expect a price increase in the room rate, but we have not been told about one.
