Can you use the Disney Dining Plan if using hotel points to pay for your stay? We are looking to come for our first trip this October and will be staying at the Hilton at Downtown Disney. Are we able to book the dining plan?
Thank you in advance for your help!!

:) I believe the Disney Dining Plan is for those people who have booked a Disney Package and are staying on site at a Disney owned resort. If you are staying off site you cannot use the DDP--it is tied to your Disney World room card.

You have to be staying in a Disney owned resort and have a package in order to get the Dining Plan.

I don't mean to hijack the thread but I came to post a similar question.
So does a package consist of tickets and room? Or tickets, flight and room?
I am trying to go for as little as possible while staying at a Disney Resort.

Tickets and a Disney hotel room. I think you only need one ticket purchase per person and everyone must be on the same plan.
