I dont get this code thing

:confused: Hi, i am a new member of DIS boards and everyone keeps talking about codes and i dont understand it. Can someone please explain this to me.:confused:

From time to time the WDW resorts offer discounts. Some of these discounts require a special code to book them. The codes are usually a series of letters and/or numbers. You can find a list of the currently available codes at www.mousesavers.com

Some of the codes have restrictions, such as being a resident of a particular state or having an Annual Pass. Others are good for anyone who wants to use them.

They often come from advertisements. Like an ad in the Sunday Travel Section of the newspaper, it will say "call 407--- and ask for code ----". Sometimes they are restricted to certain states, like if they run it in the Atlanta paper, it may only be good for GA residents. Mousesavers.com is a great source for these codes, they research them and tell you who they are good for.

Hey Alex,
There's a really good code out right now for August.25 to October. It's $59 a night for value resorts, $89 for moderate resorts and $129 for deluxe resorts. You can find it on the Disney website. You should try to talk your mom into a trip before school starts! See ya tonight!

Sorry to confuse you jmarie but Alex is my cousin so I know that he is a student. Disney now has new rates posted for the fall, called the fall fling. They are up on the offical disney website and deluxe resorts are $129 a night (I think this is limited to only certain deluxe resorts including the AKL) You should check it out.
