And yes Michelle, they found ALL the eggs. Each kid had to count their eggs to see who won the extra prize. That was Brooke, and she got a five dollar bill. I think she had like thirty five. Each kid had around 30 or so . And most had candy inside and a few had coins inside. As you can see by the pictures they all had a lot of fun.:thumbsup2

& right now... they're still bouncing off the walls from the sugar... :hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper:

I love it!!! Canadian footballs as eggs! You are just surrounded by Canadiana and you don't even realize it!!

Loved all the photos Bubba. It looked like a great day.

Not as of yet and I've had to stop drinking lime juice... it has upset my tummy...

and I'm about to retire to my sickbed... so I can go and watch the stuff I taped on my DVR over the weekend...

And to think... it all started with dinner at Jumpin Jacks...

Oh and Marilyn... they are "guessing" over on the main threads that the next PC repo may be between Feb and April because the new ship is due 1st quarter in 2011...

I hope it will be closer to April but they won't take any notice of me will they?;)

Marilyn, Marilyn, Marilyn ... dear, sweet, misguided, Marilyn.

This is a Americanism that has crept into British English over the past 20 years. When I lived there, people did not use the word cookie, which as we all know has it's origins with the Dutch.

Cookie crept into American English because of the Dutch colony of Nieuw Amsterdam, and then later became part of standard American English, along with other such words as stoop (as in front stairs to a house), boss, and poppycock (which is sluring of poppekak, which means, 'powdered doll poop' ... OK, don't ask me why, it just is.).

Marilyn, you are not holding up your end (I mean your end of the job of preserving the language. I don't mean literally holding up your "end.")

The British have already absorbed such Americanisms as "commute," "cocktail," and other such things.

So, for the sake of the Empire, please use care with the words you choose.

I'm being sucked into the collective.:scared1: I've begun using the word vacation over here too.:sad2:

Well, the weekend is about over.

I worked both days, but got to fit in some other things along the way.

Yesterday, Sophia and I went to "Art is Alive", a local art festival here at our Cultural Center where local artists sell their work. She picked up a couple of pieces of Jewelry - one, a bracelet made from old silver spoons, and another a pendant made from a small domino painted on one side. Unique cool stuff.

Then we went to see the exhibit at the museum - Kimono as Art. Only showing in two places in the US - Canton, and San Diego - go figure. Actually, a wealthy local businessman had a hand in bringing it here. While they were quite beautiful and I can appreciate the craftsmanship - not quite my cup of tea.

http://www.kimonoexhibit.com/

Today, since the sun was shining, it was yardwork after work (the first cut of the season) and power washing outdoor furniture. Then a quick bike ride after dinner.

I'm bushed!

Hi John. Busy weekend for you.

Welcome back Marilyn! Too bad you got laryngitis.

I think I have a proper vpoice today. I have to talk to myself to find out though.

Yeah Marilyn... just don't call the loo the crapper... :lmao::lmao:

Ian didn't check in - he always does.

I woke up and and was really tired.

Our bedroom is in the front part of the basement. The back part is where the boilers for the two units are and the washing & dryer and storage lockers.

There is a problem with our boiler. The electronic starter has started buzzing loudly like an old fashioned electric alarm clock. It is so loud that you can hear it on the first floor (main floor for Marilyn) even with the TV on. As a matter of fact it sort of drowns out the TV.

We had the part replaced in the fall, but the new part was faulty and started acting up. I did so with a vengeance this past weekend. It was woke me up 2 to 3 times on Saturday and again last night.

I was so tired this morning that I'm surprised I caught my normal bus.

Welcome back Marilyn! Too bad you got laryngitis.

Nan - congrats to Wilson! That's an excellent finish!

John - the kimono exhibit sounds interesting. Glad you got some fun stuff in.

Bubba/Venetia/Gaylean - glad you had a good time, I'm looking forward to seeing pictures.

This afternoon we tried out the Disney Dance Revolution game. Ken, Shaelyn and I enjoyed it. Kaleigh wasn't impressed. The team option works really well with Shaelyn. Its less frustrating for her to work as a team, instead of constantly losing.

Well, I'm off to go pay bills :sad2:

The circles on the nose. NFL balls have no stripes. NCAA balls have 1/2 - 3/4 stripes. Canadian footballs have full circles.

Well we may not play with those kind but if we were to draw a football it would look like that egg. I bet there are a lot of things here, that are shaped like footballs, that look like that.

Hi all,

Absolutely beautiful day here. Almost 20C.

I had to go downtown so I chose to walk and then met Shannon at Subway for lunch.

Shaelyn has decided she wants to learn to play the piano so we stopped at the music store and picked up a beginning book for her to try out. We'll see how far it goes.

I tried to take the winter tires off my Tucson today but they are stuck on good. So I will take it in to the dealer and let them deal with it. But it will be nice to get the studs off and just go with my regular tires.

Have some steaks to cook for supper, so I think I will break open the BBQ for the first time this year.

As I said it truly is a beautiful day today and has me in good spirits.:cool1:

Nice to see some strangers popping in (Hi Carol, Hi Kaylee, Hi Gaylean)

Going to be a short work week for Shannon this week, but unfortunately she only gets a 3 day weekend compared to my 4 day. But it's better than nothing!

You can't see your own light, can you?

No because when I see pictures of myself I usually have a dirty look on my face. And a lot of people tell me that they think I'm mean because I give them dirty looks when I meet them :sad2: I can tell by the way people treat me that I'm not as pleasurable as Venetia ;)

Yeah what he said Gay. And I really have never had someone say I was pleasurable before.:goodvibes

Ian, they really aren't the same ;) and he has one from a bar mitzvah of a friend, but he didn't really think it was all that cool :hippie:

Carol:

What a cute new baby. When do you get her.

Mickey is so big. A real doggie now...seems like he was just a puppy a day ago, ok last year but who is counting.

Glad to hear your voice

 Nan

Thank you, she is a cutie. She looks a lot like Mickey did at that age and is his full blooded sister. Glad she is a girl since it might be hard to tell them apart when she grows up. She was just 6 weeks when we picked her out and the breeder said we could take her home at 8 or 9 weeks so it should be soon.

Mickey is a grown up boy now but it is hard to believe. I told Doug that even when he is an old dog he will still seem like a puppy with how small he is. He has definitely been a big part of my healing.

Glad it was such a nice day for you! :goodvibes Thanks for mentioning the short work week, I'd forgotten all about it! I only have to work Tues, Wed, Thurs, and until noon on Fri. :thumbsup2

Shaelyn sat down at the keyboard we have had out since Christmas and decided to play with it. Then she actually asked us "how do you play this properly". So I brought out an old teaching book and showed her a simple song. She kept practicing the song for a good 30-45 minutes. She then told us she wants to learn how to play it.

http://media8.dropshots.com/photos/77977/20090405/182510.jpg

So today we bought a couple of beginner lesson books to get her started. Hopefully she will actually take to it. Both Shannon and I used to take piano lessons. I took them for about 2 years and hated it back when I was in about Grade 4 or 5.

Hello Everybody

I am at Fraserburgh in North of Scotland, and I am relaxing tonight as my brother and Ian went out tonight... I am having a glass of wines and kids are playing box 360 games...

Also two puppies here Sam and Jade, my god, they grown up and sometime funny too...

Will speak you when I come back to Edinburgh next Sunday....

Happy Easter for this weekend....:thumbsup2

Scottishwee35

Hi Deborah!!! Take pictures.. have fun!!!

I usually take my alarm clock and throw it across the room...

We bought rock band and the kids are driving me crazy. You can only listen to hungry like a wolf so many times :sad2:

Duran Duran??? Your kids like '80's music???

Thank goodness it's almost time to leave for karate class. We're both getting bored. Snow is 1/2 melted, and it's too slushy to do anything with anyway. We ended up with 8 inches, so it sure was pretty this morning, but melted very fast.

Wish me luck tonight that I don't throw up or pass out! :rotfl2:

Good luck... :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Up here Good Friday is the stat holiday. So we get all of Friday off. Easter Monday is not a stat but some places take it off (like my place of work, schools and governments) and others, like Shannon's workplace, don't take it off. So I get a 4 day weekend while Shannon gets a 3 day. But seeing as how I work from home on Mondays and Fridays it won't be much different for me except I don't have to worry about the office contacting me for something or the other.

Thank you! It went very well tonight because there was no cardio. :rotfl2: The whole hour was sparring, practicing 3 different kinds of kicks, some combat moves, a bit of self-defense, and I think that's it. I was surprised that I could actually do all of it after a few tries. I saw many advanced people who couldn't do things any better than I did. :thumbsup2 My favorite was a kick where you kick twice without putting the leg down: one kick to the ribs and the 2nd kick up higher (the head if we could reach that high) without putting the leg down between kicks. BAM, BAM!

Tyler told me afterwards that he tried to video some of the class. It's hilarious because you can't see me very well, but hes trying to point me out and actually puts his finger into the viewing part to point me out. :rotfl2:

OK, I know nobody probably cares to watch a video clip, but it's only like a minute. I only had to record it because it's Tyler's favorite weapon that they use in class, the bo staff. Michelle, meet Gaylean. Gaylean meet Michelle.

Gaylean LOVES 80's music. I would be surprised if she let her kids listen to anything else.

I thought Bowling for Soup's "1985" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVlNIUhHUI8) was written with Gaylean in mind. ;)

Did ya see how fast I got outa that pool??? And they cut out all my best moves in the breakdance sequence!!!!:confused3:mad:

:rotfl2:

No cardio :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: don't tell Ian

But seriously, you might like weight lifting better. I know I do.

Oh, I know what you mean because that's how we did them, but we did 75 of the 4 count ones, so 75 times 4.

It's like this:
Jumping jack #1 = ONE SIR
Jumping jack #2 = TWO SIR
Jumping jack #3 = THREE SIR
Jumping jack #4 = ONE SIR

and repeat through 75.

Heck, I can't even stay caught up. Yeah in football it was a little confusing.
start with hands to the side and legs together. move to the second position with arms in the air and legs spread. the leader yells ONE. Move to the start position. the leader yells TWO. Move to the second position again. the leaders yells three. Move back to start position and the group yells ONE. that would be one jumping jack. Noobs have fun trying not to get messed up with the counts. When I was coaching if someone messed up the counts they would get 10 more added to the rep (same thing happened to me when I was playing so it is a bit of what goes around...)

DISNEY CRUISE LINE

The Disney Wonder Heads West!
Disney Cruise Line announced the Disney Wonder's repositioning from its Florida base in Port Canaveral to the West Coast in 2011. The company worked with the Port of Los Angeles to finalize an agreement with an extension option. The new Disney Wonder sailings could generate more than 250,000 guests passing through the Port of Los Angeles over a five-year period.

You got to BBQ already??? I'm so jealous... and I must go and buy a steak tomorrow... :rotfl:

Some of us don't need to think about it. Some of us have already started our trip fund for it!

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 (think this time the girls may not be as shy???)

We don't put it away... we just watch it all winter to see how much snow burries it...

That's funny. I told Jon to finalize his vacation for Canada today and guess what he said. "Can we still afford it with the cruise right around the corner" He expects me to stay home for 2 years  :lmao::lmao:

Siren? Well if the park official turns his on we might hear it. But I have never seen one turned on.

Gunshots? hunting is illegal inside parks so not likely to hear any of those.

Cars honking? maybe as people are saying goodbye to friends...

Here are some webcams from SOUTH of us (near semi-desert climates) that has a LOT more snow than us.
