Last night I was reading about the cricut machine and today I saw the TV guide ad for it and I am sold. :happytv: I NEED one now!

I was talking to DH about it today and he was laughing. He saw the ad a few weeks ago and was wondering why I didn't have one already.:lovestruc

So what is the basic $ for the Expression and what basics much I get to start? The tv guide ad just said the starting price but not the total price. I read the other posts but I am confused as to the different kinds of cricut and Dh said too get the one that does vinyl so he can do stuff for work.

I would suggest keeping any eye out for Michaels, JoAnns and A C Moore ads and start pricing them. Also you might want to go over to the Cricut chat boards (www.cricut.com) and ask ... I'm sure a lot of the people there will offer suggestions for online purchasing. I've heard that purchasing from the TV ads can cost you quite a bit more.
Beware ... once you buy the machine collecting the cartridges becomes an obsession for many people.

Also check online. I ordered my Cricut from http://www.acmoore.com and they have had good prices for an Expression bundle in the past.

http://www.creativexpress.com - That's the online presence for ProvoCraft. I think they have a couple Expression bundles on sale right now.

I am looking at buying a cricut this month too.

I looked at the bundle on Creativeexpress and it is selling this month for $295 plus shipping. The one I was looking at is on HSN.com cost $345 free shipping but seems to come with different cartridges and more extras such as a couple sets of the pens etc...

I guess I'll have to do some more research on which cartrides I like better and how much of a value the extras with HSN are worth.

I'd be interested on what you find. Joanns just had the smaller on one sale for $99 with one cartridge but I think it was because they are not going to carry them anymore (just the smaller one) as they aren't listed on the website anymore.

Frequenting this forum has cost me hundreds of dollars....and it all started with my baby bug Cricut. From there it was a short leap to the Expression and about 30 cartridges:).

I've had good luck with both creativexpress.com and hallmarkscrapbook.com with cartridge sales.

UPDATE..I bought the HSN one and I wanted to Thanks a poster in another thread who mentioned the first time customer code so I got another 15% off. Great price considering they are 400 at Micheals and 500 online at cricut.

Thank you for tell me that. I thought 300 (with the extra 15% off) is a good deal but it is nice to know I am not just making up excuses to buy something. KWIM:goodvibes
