o/t Earaches

My ear had been blocked since last Thursday. Can hear squat! :headache:

So, I finally went to the Dr. yesterday. He said saw fluid build up and fluid behind the ear. He washed out the ear and gave me drops but it doesn't feel better. I know, it's only 1 day BUT I fly in 5 and don't want to have this earache or infection on Sunday.

HELP any other tips besides waiting for the drops to work :sad1:

Try laying with that ear on a hot water bottle (do they still sell those) or a heating pad.

Are you taking tylenol or another anti-inflamatory/pain killer?

Spicemom is right on there. You HAVE to be on a decongestant such as benylin or sudafed (which all have a different types). Go to pharmacist and tell them issue and they will give you the perfect remedy. You should be on one of these. We are assuming you have no allergies as well. There are drowsy and non-drowsy types so maybe a day/night combo would be good. They dry up that fluid quickly. You may have to continue with this for a few days seeing that you are not on an antibiotic. If you get a temperature or ear hurts, go back to doctor.

Do take it before you fly.
