View Full Version : DxDDP LTT Appetizer Question

I was recently reading a food porn/dining report thread and someone made mention of the Tavern Fried Cheese (or Tavern Friend Cheese, if you listen to AllEars) is now an "appetizer for 2." I remember being out there in November (time of last menu update on ae.net), and it's still listed as a one person appetizer. Does anyone know if it is now a 2 person appetizer for DxDDP?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!

Disney's online restaurant page (http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/parks/magic-kingdom/dining/liberty-tree-tavern/) does indicate that it's "for two".

Thanks for the tip! I too didn't know that they had menu scans. Guess DW & I might end up splitting one in June now.

We usually get it and share it for 4 so there is totally enough for 2 to share it.

We. Really. LOVE. The Tavern Fried Cheese. So if we have the option of each getting our own, we'd do that. If we need to pick at the entree to save room for dessert while on DxDDP because we filled up on appetizers, we consider it the cost of doing business.:banana: :banana: :banana:

how does an appy for 2 work on the dxddp? can you order it? would it count as appy for both? or one person? or would you have to pay oop for it?

If you're a party of 2+, you should be able to get an appetizer for 2 as the appetizer for 2 of the people in the party. So if it is you and one other person on DxDDP, you could both get one Tavern Fried Cheese for 2. That was the way it was explained to me elsewhere...having not been at LTT since it was changed from a one person appetizer to two, not sure if it would work the same way or not.

Interesting.

We went back in 8/07 when the 'regular' DDP included appys, and I remember the Tavern Fried Cheese was HUGE (and I lurve me some battered deep-fried cheese!). Even *I* could share that one! :laughing:

ETA: Interesting . . . the more expensive Crab Cake is "for one" . . .
