Yes! We are expecting. We are due July 15th. :thumbsup2 Life is crazy and amazing right now.
We never thought Amy would be the one carrying the baby but she got pregnant on her first try. Anyway, sorry I have been MIA lately....but like I said life has been nutty. My normally strong shouldered caring wife is a bunch of hormones. Didn't she get the memo? I'm the emotional one! ;) Now we need to find maternity clothes for her and she refuses to wear women's clothing....:confused3 It is kind of amusing seeing her go off to work all pregnant and showing in her steel toed leather work boots. What a site!
We are already starting to plan the little baby's first WDW trip...it might be March 2010 or November 2010. Hey we know what the sex of the baby is because we decided to have an amnio when her quad screen came back positive which meant the baby was at higher risk of maybe having down's syndrome. Thankfully the amnio came back negative for down's and also told us the sex of the baby....we had to find out-I don't like surprises!
As for me I am working 55 to 60 hours a week right now....no I am not complaining I know how lucky we are right now but I am a little tired.
That's whats new with me....what's up with all my dis friends....that I blew off for months....sorry!

:woohoo: This is super cool news! Congrats to both of you.

So, the little one, is it a boy? There is a blue blanket in the cradle in the countdown, so I am thinking that it's a hint. Is it?

I will forgive your absence because you have returned with such awesome news. Don't let it happen again. ;)

Being a mommy is THE best thing in the world...how special for this little one to have 2!!!!

I guess you will be the one wearing the silly bow hat at the shower? Although I think it would be hysterical if your DP wore it with her steel toes boots!!!!!!!!

Glad that your scare was jsut that a scare. I have been there, done that and now have an angel above.

Hey you two! Congratulations!

Get some big old shirts and call it good. ::yes:: If the pants get too tight, unzip them and tuck the top back. The big old shirt'll cover it. ::yes:: :teeth:

Well, we are already doing this at 21 weeks. She only has one pair of jeans that fit her. She is a first responder for the gas company and they have a strict dress code for safety reasons. She can only wear jeans and regulation t-shirts. The t-shirts are no problem we are just getting big ones but the jeans are difficult. She is a shorty....try finding petite length men's jumbo sized jeans! For now I do a load of laundry every night--she gets very dirty working outside a lot. Anyway, soon I'll be looking at one load of laundry a night as a dream scenario.

Thank you all for the warm responses and good wishes. After trying to get preggers myself for years and going through the process of finding out that I couldn't get preggers...well it SUCKED to put it mildly. Anyway, we had discussed the fact that she never physically wanted to be pregnant. I knew this before we got married. Well, she changed her mind after finding out that it was not going to happen for me.
My DP is funny..know where she told me she had decided to try to get pregnant? Blockbuster! Who does that? :confused3 :rotfl:
The pregnancy so far has been fun, challenging, and an emotional roller coaster.

Baby shower games are the worst and I guess the best-depending on how you are looking at it. At my SIL's baby shower they melted chocolate candy bars into disposable diapers and you had to smell them to try to guess which candy bars they were. You can imagine how enticingly fun that was!:scared1:

I am having fertility problems so I can relate to the feelings you have/had about not being able to get pregnant. Unfortunately, my partner is a man (who the heck does that?:lmao: ) and he cannot carry the pregnancy. :rotfl:

Best Wishes for a wonderful, uneventful pregnancy! :thumbsup2

Cat Cora and Wife Both Pregnant
(March 9) - ‘Iron Chef America’ star Cat Cora and her wife Jennifer are both pregnant - and both expecting boys. The couple have two sons already, Caje, 22 months and Zoran, 5. All four boys have the same donor. Cora revealed the pregnancy, posting the following excerpt from the current issue of OK! Magazine on her MySpace blog: “Iron Chef’s Cat Cora has a bigger surprise than the unveiling of her secret ingredient on her hit Food Network show; She’s expecting her third—and fourth—sons!” “It’s really crazy!” the chef, 41, tells OK! Most unusual, Cat will give birth three months after her partner, Jennifer Cora, 37. “We decided that having them a year apart is harder than having kids as infants together,” Cat says of their planned pregnancies.... Cat says,” [Jennifer] carried my embryo and I carried hers. It’s like surrogating, but obviously all of our kids are equal.”

Again... Why did I marry a man? :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :rotfl:

JK, I adore my husband, but for Christ's sake, it would be better if he had some optional equipment to help me out here.... :upsidedow

Holy Cow! If DP and I were pregnant at the same time we wouldn't be married by the end of both pregnancies. :lmao: In fact, Amy just said it would be Armageddon in our household. :scared1:

Hey!! Congratulations!! :woohoo: :dance3: :yay: :cool1: :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

As I've shared before, we had a very similar experience to yours. Jen never really thought she would want to be pregnant, but she wanted a baby badly enough that she was willing to do it if I couldn't. Well, we sunk so much money into trying to get me pregnant, that by the time we dicided to stop, we just stopped altogether. I sometimes feel really guilty that she never got the chance to try...:guilty:

Anyhow, enjoy the rest of the pregnancy, and here's to a HEALTHY BABY!!! :woohoo: :goodvibes

Mommy had. A little baby.
There he is. Fast asleep.
He's just. A little plaything.
Why not. Wake him up?
Cute. Cute. Little baby.
Little pee pee. Little toes.
Now he's comin' to me.
Crawl across. The kitchen floor.
Baby, baby, please let me hold him
I wanna make him stay up all night
Sister, sister, he's just a plaything
We wanna make him stay up all night
Yeah we do

See him drink. From a bottle.
See him eat. From a plate.
Cute. Cute. As a button.
Don't you wanna make him. Stay up late.
And we're having fun. With no money.
Little smile. On his face.
Don't cha' love. The little baby.
Don't you want to make him. Stay up late.

Here we go (all night long)
Sister, sister (all night long)
In the playpen...woo...(all night long)
Little baby goes, ha! (all night long)
I know you want to leave me...

Why don't. We pretend.
There you go. Little man.
Cute. Cute. Why not?
Late at night. Wake him up.

Here we go (all night long)
Sister, sister...woo...
(with the television on)
Little baby goes...woo! (all night long)
Hey, hey, baby! (all night long)
And he looks so cute (all night long)
In his little red suit (all night long)
