Live from SSR (until 3/13)

Hi Everyone!

Checked in this morning around 10:00, room wasn't ready (didn't expect it to be) asked if there was any other room available (I had requested Springs) but they were full last night, so the answer was no. We headed to DtD to check some old tickets at guest relations and then back to the pool by 11:00. Called at 2:00, room was ready.

According to Steven the lifeguard (SSR regulars will know who), the high rock pool is still planned to close tomorrow. Games and activities have already moved to the Grandstand pool. We didn't go over there at 2:30 for the pool party, the kids were ready for a break in the room.

I'll report when I know more on the pool closing as it happens.

We are in the Springs section. Our building is on the left of the Springs bus stop and is very convenient to the high rock springs pool, we are just across the street.

We don't have a car this trip, so I don't know if I will see the THV up close. We are planning to pool hop to OKW some time this week and will probably take the boat back, so maybe I will see them then.

I haven't been to the parks yet, so I don't know the crowd level first hand, just what has been reported by other fellow disers. We are going to MK today and all three of us are wearing our disunplugged shirts, so if you see us - say hey!

The pool rehab has begun. We just returned to the resort and walked past the pool and it is surrounded by the big green fence. The water is about half way drained. Someone asked the other day if the bar would be open during rehab, the answer is no, can't even get to it.

Took the boat back from OKW just now. THV looks very nice. There are still some workers visable, couldn't tell what they were working on.

Went to MK today. Crowd was very manageable, not too bad.

The weather is absolutely perfect! We keep comparing it to when we come in July and October, this is the best time of year! Have a great time when you get here.

The pool at OKW is very nice. My kids (10 & 8) enjoy the pool slide and the playground area with the sand. DD loves digging in the sand. The sand area is just behind the slide. There is a boat that runs between SSR and OKW and the dock at OKW is very close to the pool. The pool wasn't too crowded yesterday, we were able to find a chair pretty easily.

When I called SSR, they said that they would move activites around between the other 3 pools. I check in tomorrow so I will update but I would imagine most will be at Grandstand since it has the bar etc....

I have the March activity sheet from Community Hall in front of me. The 2:30 - 3:30 activities like bingo, homecoming pool party and trivia all are scheduled at the Grandstand pool. The 4:00 - 5:00 pool activities with the lifeguards are split between the Congress Park and Paddocks pools on different days. The movies are at 8:00pm on Sun, Mon, Wed, Fri and Sat at the Grandstand pool.

Just wanted to report about the buses... So far this trip (I hope I don't jinx it) we have had great timing because it seems as if we walk to the bus stop just as our bus is pulling up.

Hi I am in Congress Park right now....and I can see the CM at the pool from my room they are playing games....
The weather is Super, I don't think it could be better. Went over to DHS this morning and it was not too crowded. Walked on TOT and got FP for RNR and TSM(2:30) heard a CM say passes gone by 1:15.:goodvibes
