Normally we leave work behine when we visit the states however this year we are going for just over 3 weeks and will need to keep inotuch with work - hence we will be brining a laptop.
We have studios booked at SSR and then BWV - is there wifi access at these resorts and how much does it cost? Also do we need to set this up with member services before we arrive or can it be added on check in?
If its not available what do you suggest - we wont have a car:confused3
Any help is really appreciated thanks

you will be able to use in room lan cable to connect to internet,as your dvc members access is free.As for wi-fi.that is only available in the convention resorts in there lobys and convention areas ie boardwalk.not to sure how you would get it for free being dvc members.but as you will be able to get it inroom shouldent be a problem

We've used the ethernet cables provided at SSR, BWV and BCV. We had a faulty socket at a one-bed in the Grandstand last November, but we managed to get around it somehow - I think there was another located on the other side of the room. You'll find the cable in the closet.

We used the internet connection in both SSR in Dec 08 and AKL in Jan 09 - both worked fine - the odd hiccup here and there with some technical stuff but we figured it out as DBF is a techy wizard!! DO double check at the end of your stay though that the internet has NOT been charged to your account - we had that issue at AKL for the whole stay and SSR for weird odd nights, but they removed it right away :goodvibes
