Wow! We've got some nasty weather blowing through tonight. 45 mins ago I looked outside and it wasn't even snowing...now my windows are coated with some nasty frosty snow and we can hardly see 2 feet into our back yard!

Dd's are at nana's for a sleepover tonight and it was supposed to be dh's and mine date night but we couldn't find any movies at the theatre we wanted to see so we came home to watch one we have here! Now I'm really glad we did cause I wouldn't want to be out driving in this right now!

All you calgarians stay safe out on those roads tonight!

oh spring can't get here soon enough for me...I personally think that with this crappy weather we have had this year we should just be allowed to skip spring all together and have an extra long HOT summer! lol

Here in the NE part of the province (near St. Paul) we've had it for a few days now. The school buses didn't run Thursday or Friday and boy do we have some monster snow drifts on the roads!

Last year we came back from WDW on April 5 and arrived to enjoy about 7 inches of wet slushy snow for our drive home from Edmonton.

I agree, enough, let's get spring happening here!

Took DD to the ski hill last night, back roads and blowing snow. Four recent vehicles in the ditch including one snow plough. Other than the snow plough all the vehicles were pulled out by passers by by the time I returned.

Big SUVs with winches may not be environmentally friendly, but they are friendly in this environment.

What ever happened to global warming?

They've changed it to climate change.

Man will always have an impact on the environment we all need to do our part to ensure we don't destroy the planet.

Climate change is the Y2K of now.
20 years ago it was acid rain that was on the front pages.
Is acid rain it still a problem or it isn't a cause celebre anymore?

Recently in the GTA the Star posted an article about trucking green bin waste to New York (http://www.thestar.com/News/Ontario/article/594806). Apparently there aren't enough processing facilities for the contents of the green bin that citizens are generating.

A program to divert waste from landfills now generates a large carbon foot by trucking the green bin contents somewhere else to be incinerated.

Pretty good planning there at city hall folks.

All those compact florescent light we all use now to save energy might not really have the desire result in conserving energy (http://www.cbc.ca/canada/manitoba/story/2009/03/04/mb-light-bulbs.html) and creating a smaller carbon foor print.

We've been greenwashed.

We all want to help the environment but when the ball is dropped by the ones in charged it is distressing. Not saying there's no credence in some of the warnings I just want efforts to make sense.

Please return to the snowstorm in progress

LOL! Well, not all but most!

Reminds me of the Iraq war and how many people were originally Bushwhacked.

Same same.
