Difficult to live with nature. I abut conservation land with lots of wild life. This year I am having a terrible time with critters.

My bird feeders and being torn apart, my plants are being uprooted nightly etc, etc.

Last night around 10 I get the big flashlight. I'm going to find out who and what is distroying my feeders. I can't win this war there is a menagerie in my back yard. 4 raccoons one sitting on the baffle the others walking around under the feeders. 2 foxes running around the back yard and 3 skunks digging up everything and anything. Who knows whats lurking in the shadows. I give-up!!!!!!

This morning at 5am I get the soaker hose, It's my watering day. Who's sitting there tunneling under my Jacob's Ladder. A skunk he has them ripped right out of the ground.

I have always had a small problem, but this year it's uncontrollable, the populations must be getting very large.

During the day it's the geese, although not as many as last year and a few ducks. A falcon, 2 hawks preying on all the little guys. A blue heron eating my fish.

Wonder how city life is?

We are the official gathering place for every squirrel in town, I swear. I wouldn't mind so much...but one tried to climb my window the other day...a closed window...not the screen. Absolutely horrifying to listen to....

And this year the baby rabbits....oh, so cute....are out in abundance....munching on DS's new garden. Just bought a roll up fence....and it's too small....sigh....have to go out for more.

I believe a nice patio garden atop a tall building in the city may be just what the doctor ordered......;)

Wow Mamu, the little critters have been busy!! I don't what you can do. Has DH put out the radio yet? ;)

City life, well, we have the nasty squirrels Gina mentioned, we've had raccoons, a possum, and......................a chicken!!! Yep, a chicken in our backyard. I phoned DH at work when I saw it, and he kept telling me it was probably just a big dove.... (right!). Then he came home and saw it for himself!

We don't have the problem so much now since we moved out of the country, but I tried turning on a radio to a loud rock and roll station, putting down mothballs and putting out humane traps. I swear the critters were dancing on top of the traps. But you can try the mothballs. And the radio.
