Subtle Disney Disigns?

Oh My Goodness! I am overwhelmed by all the wonderful disigns you all do, and the fact that you do it all for free! Amazing!
My question is can anyone point me to more of the subtle or offbeat disigns? I started to look through the gallerys, but there is just so much!!!
So far I love the stick families, the monorail with the spanish, and the Mickey heads with the safari hats! (plus lot's others, but my DH is not into wearing anything "too" Disney.)
I don't want to put my kids names on anything, but we do want to put our letterboxing name on some (it's The Monkeybugs)
Also I tried to do a design with a old fashioned robot and the "Paging Mr. Morrow, Mr. Tom Morrow" but guess what? I suck!!! HA, like really not good!!!

When I save a disign I worry that I will forget which wonderful disigner created it. I just saved one of tmdart's disigns and what I did was when I clicked on "save picture as" and the name of the disign came up I just put a dash after the name and then I put the name of the disigner. So, it looks like this "beersnowwhite1-tmdart". This way I will always know who to give credit to! I am really glad I figured it out. I hope it helps someone else.

You only have to "flip" the image on the light transfers. I would recommend using the dark transfers as they will show up much brighter than the light ones. If you are using the light transfers and truly need to "flip" the image you can usually do that by selecting file, print, then the properties tab. This will allow you to adjust the quality of the image you are printing as well as if you want to do a mirror or "flipped" image. Hope this helps. :)

What great designs!! I am scheduled to have a DCL party next week and would love to put the Cinderella one on the wine we are serving. Is that okay? If it is, do you have any "red"(Maybe Mickey dseign?) or "white" (maybe Snow White here??) designs for those wines? DH is a homebrewer; we bottle beer with a custom label and give it away for Christmas each year. Last year he had the labels printed at Kinkos. They had label stock there. It was an entire sheet of label and then he used the cutter at Kinko's to cut out each label. You then peel the backing off and stick it to the bottle.

This is absolutely perfect for me to let my DW in on the surprise trip I have planned for us :thumbsup2 And maybe a little something for the front of the shirt (I love what the previous posters have done with the big graphic on the back and the little graphic on the front).

I can't speak for tmdart, but I've made designs similar to these using PhotoShop and other advanced graphics programs, where you design the background, and then paste character images & text over it.

You can buy t-shirt transfer paper at craft stores or even Walmart - it comes in two types, light transfers (use on white t-shirts) and dark transfers (use on colored t-shirts). If you're using light transfers, you have to tell your printer to reverse the image because of the way you apply the transfer to the t-shirt; you don't have to worry about that with dark transfers... so I use dark transfers for everything. It is ironed on - I've never had one that is applied correctly end up peeling off.

You can use these designs for door magnets - either print on magnetic paper (also available at craft stores or office supply stores) or print on cardstock, laminate it, and then glue magnets to the back (magnetic tape works well for this). I've never seen decorated doors in the resorts, although I have seen people decorate their windows (from the inside). Just be careful to clean off any tape residue left behind so that mousekeeping won't have to deal with it.

I really love your t-shirts!! Do you have the Doc one without a year. It is on page 8 post #107. I am going to make a Grumpy for my DH and a Sleepy for my DS that just had a baby and my other DS is such a fix it, I thought Doc would suit him the best of the ones that you have made. Could you do the Dopey one without a date?

Could you do another like the Snow White Lite from the Seven Brothers Company using Sleeping Beauty? Or is that a little strange?

We're taking a family trip and need 3 girl themed beer shirts

I have to laugh at your post Liza because I had the same issue last year. DBF LOVES Disney but thought (and voiced his opinion numerous times) that I was going overboard with the shirts last year. He only wanted a couple, so I respected his wishes. After he wore them, he admitted that he wished I would have made him more. :rotfl2: Today I was ordering shirts and finalizing design choices for our trip in 2 weeks and he said, "I don't know where you get all these designs but they are so cool." Funny how quickly they can change their mind! :laughing:

Good job. :thumbsup2 I tried to get DH to make one of these, but he never got around to it. He is much better at it than I am. I will personalize the designs and try to make changes to some of them, but I made a Sleeping Beauty design and he didn't like the way I did it and he changed it.
