Our Trip Review Has Begun!! I've changed it because Vin is going help! TheLaughingPlace-aka our Disneymoon (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=32975986#post32975986)
To Read...or Not To Read...
That is the question...
Hi Everyone!:wave2:
I was worried to start one of these because I didn't want to be the person who puts you to sleep... However, Everyone needs rest before their trip to WDW Right?
A little about us...
I'm Jenny and I am about to turn 25. My Fiance, Vinnie (28) and I decided after having to cancel our WDFTW that we would instead do a fun filled Disneymoon instead!
Here's us... in the light of "Professional" photography....
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c215/BeachBeIIa1111/wedding%20things/colorsharper.jpg
And here's the "real" us... Do not be alarmed... We were born with the ears :rotfl:
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c215/BeachBeIIa1111/cute.jpg
I have started a planning journal as well, but it is mostly wedding related and Craft related (If you enjoy DIY'sand random outbursts, then come on board!):woohoo:
I have alot planned for our trip...alot (Loads of secret things planned that Vinnie doesn't have a clue about, He'll just be foccusing on the next time he gets to see his best friend...)
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c215/BeachBeIIa1111/PICT0467.jpg
that I PROMISE to post here with...
The whole idea of the trip, is to make up for the fact that we are not having our wedding there. Vinnie really wanted it, and I was the deciding factor once his mum said she wouldn't come. So, in here, I'll be planning (And plotting) a whole lot!
The Plan...
Okay, so our dates keep changing (Thank you Vinnie's not-so-understanding job) But for today... we will be heading out to Florida Monday, July 20th.
So, originally we were staying at CBR. I took Vin there two years ago for his "first" visit and last year, and he LOVED it. Although Vin is more of the outdoorsey type, the CBR became his destination.
Now, when I found out they would have pirate rooms, I WANTED IN!:rotfl: It took all of five seconds for me to tell him and he said "AWESOME LETS DO IT". Everyone else looked at us like we had ten heads and black eyes spurting goob like Stitch.... but to us, this would have been fun...
Well, Then one day, I get a email from my uncle explaining that for the same price (not going through him) he could get us a "special" honeymoon suite at Wilderness Lodge.
I couldn't wait to tell vin! I was so close to just saying "DO IT!" but realized, if he didn't want to spend the extra money, I wasn't going to push the issue.
So, Vin comes over. I tell him. We look at the Lodge...and five minutes later:banana: He wants it! I was so excied. It would certainly be something special and I know for sure that I would enjoy watching him happy!
As for out whereabouts, We will be staying in Fort Wilderness...Honeymoon suite. We got the deal through my uncle, who is a CM... which is one wicked deal... and we feel very blessed to have gotten it!
Last year, we ended up paying a rediculous amount for everything because... well... I didn't know we were getting engaged and so, the trip was booked last minute... leaving us with crazy prices... and last minute bookings.... So we wanted to make sure that this year... we did it righ!popcorn::
Okay so, Up next....(you can wake up now! )
The Plane Game... Oh Yes... Thank you Jet Blue:eek:

Come Fly with me... lets Fly Lets Fly away... (ONly if they see you on the plane)
Okay, So, Let's begin with the backstory...that will take you to the last day of our Disney trip in 2008....
Vinnie and Jen had just had an amazing time... and had gotten to the airport early (Thank you Magical Express)
That was when we found out that our plane would be delayed:banana:
See... Vin and I LOVE when planes are delayed. We use the time to pull out the "emergency" necessities and do a picnic...yes...picnic...on the airport floor watching the planes.
Usually people will see us doing this and follow in our footsteps. Sometimes we have many friendly people talking to us... This time was no different...
Well... the 8:00 flight ran its way to 10... then to 11... then to 12... and before we knew it....it was 3am. People were getting antsy, yelling at the JetBlue people, and I of course opened my mouth and said "I would rather them take the saftey precautions to have us NOT fly in a storm then to fly the plane and crash:scared1: "This was after listening to a TWO hour argument with a woman who basically had less class than a empty school...
Okay... so, beyond that.... We were still having fun... And finally, the plane came in, and we boarded:banana:
When we got on, they called Vinnies name (?) to make sure he was on the plane. We thought nothing of it and just couldn't wait for the flight to be over.... (Yucky planes and their turbulance....make Jenny a bit nerve wracked- Picture Pumba from Lion King when he is being chased and gets his coolie stuck in the tree...)
Now, two days later, I get a email from JetBlue explaining that I was issued a full refund for my flight. Only me...
Confused, I call Jet blue and speak to a rather nasty lad named "Phill"...
Phill basically yelled at me and told me I was lying and that
"VINNIE NEVER ENTERED THE AIRPORT AND WAS NEVER ON THE FLIGHT!"
"What?" I said over and over "He was sitting directly next to me we had a picnic together"
"Well, Miss, the airport and the plane have NO record of him"
So, thats when I asked to be transferred to Security... It was no longer a issue of getting my money back. With the whole security issue (And me having family effected in 9-11, I was furious...well... as furious as I can get... I kind of dont have a backbone...)
Finally they get someone on the phone and Ididn't understand how they had a man, in the airport... for TEN hours, using his credit card and sitting near the terminal, and yet, had NO ACCOUNT for him?:confused3
I explained to them that I would be contacting the news and told them I would be sure they knew that their airport was not secure...
The man then told me "Well, if you have any proof your fiance was there, you can fax it to us"
"GREAT! I yelled. I HAVE ENOUGH to prove he was there and every hour!"
See... I began to take pictures when we were there. Why? I have no idea. Took a picture of the plane outside the window with vinnie standing there... the planes name was Ole Blye Eyes (Vins favorite singer is sinatra)
Faxed over his credit card recipts, copied the napkins from the plane, sent pictures of us IN the plane along with a picture of ALL the jetblue workers working that night behind vinnie eating a sandwich....
Needless to say, I guess they saw I was right....and refunded my money plus. This has never happened before, where I was strong enough to stick up for something, but I think the whole security thing really is what pushed me over the edge...
So, Luckily, we got our plane ticket paid for! We will be flying Jetblue July 20th at 6am from New York! YAY!
Up next...my plans of surprise!
Sneaky...very very sneaky....

Not all Sneaks are up to no good!
Okay, so, Like I said earlier, I really wanted to make this vacation VERY special for Vinnie.... So... Thanks to the disney shopping website.... I have purchased a non-stop stream of things... Oh...and did I mention a pair of Crocs as well?
I'll admit. Last year...Vin wanted them very badly, but I vowed never to wear them (My students wear them!) and when I went to the crocs website... and saw they were on sale for 17 dollars... .Well... HOW can I pass that up?
So, as for surprises here are the plans... May change a bit but I am sure about the 24th....
Monday the 20th-
We arrive at WDW at around 10 ish... I want Vin to check out the hotel etc, since I am sure that the bags wont come till 3 like last year... so that means the "goodies" won't be there....
So, Ive decided that I will pack the Crocs for both Vin and I in my carry on... and, well, risk losing my undies in the luggage :rotfl:
Once we get there, and check in...etc... I decided that I am going to tell Vin that I want us to have lunch at Artist's point... At that point, I'll whip out the shoes, and throw them on the bed before we leave...so he'll have no idea where they came from!!
Wednesday the 22nd
I ordered a Watch for Vin with the inscription "Mr and Mrs Fazz 2009"
Wednesday we planned to go to eat for Lunch somewhere (can't remember where just yet) but... That's when that will be left in the hotel as well!
Friday the 24th- The REAL SURPRISE
I figured with all these little surprises Vin would have NO IDEA what was in store for Friday....
Vin is a HUGE WS fan. He loves morocco and Japan and we spend countless hours with him talking to those CM and getting photo Ops there...
So, when another dis member mentioned she would be doing engagement pictures there...I immediately realized this would make up for us not getting Married in Morocco...he will still have his pictures!!
So, I ordered a dress very similar to the second wedding dress I bought, and will be packing his Kakhi's and a white polo.... I figure the night before I'll claim I don't feel well (I do have a very low immune system so this won't be far fetched) and go to bed fairly early... (Since I will be waking him at around 5 t oget ready)
So, after the photo shoot, we'll probably head back to the hotel... and then do whatever that day.... HOWEVER
That night, We will be having dinner at Ohana.... and watching the fireworks from the beach! He is a huge Fire Works fan so this will be a really awesome surprise for him!
I havn't figured out the rest just yet... But... I have a monogrammed blanket(Maybe leave in the room for that night to bring to watch the fireworks on the beach?), Disney Ornaments and a Bride and Groom Daisy and Donald shirt to pull out into the works!
I am hoping that I can get a CM to help me out with some of these things, as it would be so amazing!
Any ideas of how else I can add special touches?
Thanks for reading...

That was my big upset... When I heard that, the money went right out the window... and all I could care about was having them realize their security is not up to its means.... you know? So just be aware when flying in to Orlando!

Just found you and subbied!
We did WDW for our honeymoon last June. You'll have to post pictures of your suite; I'm excited to see it. What a wonderful uncle to help you out!
That's scary about the airport ordeal, but I'm glad it worked out in your favor in the end!
I love your ADRs; wonderful choices!
We did the photo session at the GF on our trip; we were really, really disappointed with how it all turned out, though. I think we got a cruddy photographer. I'm debating on giving it another try this next trip, or if I want to just haul my own SLR camera out there to take pictures.
Is the Coral Reef still doing the divers and menus? I thought I'd read somewhere that was a cutback they'd made since WDW has been trying to make up for the lack of attendance in this economy. PLEASE let me know if you find out they're still doing it, though!!

4 months and One week from Today....
At this time, we will be arriving in Orlando! Not only that but we are also now unter 130 days for our wedding and... Today is my birthday! Very exciting day!
So, I am still waiting on the people from the Coral Reef to getback to me about the diver and the menu. I told them I would be willing to pay and wanted to know how much so as soon as they getback to me I will let you know.
I also got a message from the CM at the WL saying that I should wait to book a fantasmic package because as of right now, Fantasmic is only certain days and so if I bookon a day that they don't have it, they can't guarantee us seeing the show... So that was nice of them to contact me, but that upsets me because that's one thing I wanted to do...
Since we already booked Brown Derbie for earlier in the day, Would you reccomend Holywood Dine and Vine or Mama melroses for the Fantasmic package? I am still unsure how the package works, do you get a special card or a print out ticket? Do you just walk in and they give you priority seating ?
My mum and sister and I waited two years ago for two hours:scared1: and got seated RIGHT in the front. That was awesome. And it was August (the end of August) so we were totally okay with the heat. I'm starting to think that maybe we don't have to get the fantasmic package? :confused3
So anyway... I think I am starting to be more excited about Disney than I am about the wedding... Ooops...

Happy Birthday Jenny!!!! I hope you have an awesome day girl!
And Yes, it is totally ok to be more excited about Disney then the wedding lol! I have never done the Fantasmic dinner package and don't really plan on it to be honest... the food at HS is not the best IMO and I usually get good seats just sitting and waiting (the old-fashioned way):lmao: . I think you will be ok just going to see Fantasmic and grabbing some snacks inside the theatre:goodvibes

Yeah, I think I've come to the realization that I don't want to do this lolol...
Vin and I barely eat when we go out... We can't get apetizers because, we cant even finish our dinners!! So, Ithink it would just be a waste for us!
Thank you for the birthday Wishes! Its kind of gloomy here in New york. All I can think about is getting on a plane and heading my way out to Florida:rotfl: Who want's to join? lolol
I am still searching the web for some more surprises for Vin. I figured that if I am paying for the extra luggage...I might as well pack it up! :rotfl:
Mrsdisneyb2b

Does this make me Obsessed?
So, since it is gloomy and rainy here in Brooklyn, I have decided to start to think and plan... and think some more about what I want to do on this wonderful honeymoon....
If you think theres something wrong with me, please... let me know:rotfl:
Okay so...here is what I've come up with so far..
Sunday July 19
I usually over dose myself on tylenol PM the night before my trip. Vin says that that makes no sense... however, he has come to terms after our first trip, that Disney... is like Mission Impossible. There is no stopping, you do not pass go and collect any money... you continue...make it to your target and you are then Off...
At least, this is how I am.... The dancing banana represents my hyperactivity (And ADHD...OOps...) that is over used In disney...
So This night, I will have some beautiful gel caps and hit the pillow... And wake up at 4am, shower... and head to the Airport!
Monday July 20th we arrive
Lets just say this is how I act when we get here....:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:
It's almost as if, the publishers clearning house has coem to my door and has given me a million dollars. Except, in this senario, Disney is my million (We all know disney is priceless now don't we?)
So, Last year, we passed out. The tylenol wasn't taken the night before and so, we were exhausted. Trust me, this year this will nto be the issue. Jetblue serves coffee...and let me tell you, they may have to connect the IV to methat day....
Although I've promised that this honeymoon will be relaxing... Is it bad that I am beginning my marriage with a lie? :rotfl: We will relax.... we will... I promise:lmao:
Okay so back to day ONE...
I willbe lugging those crocs in my bag, so no matter what we will have to head out somewhere to get them out of my bag and ont he table or on the bed...
So, since vinnies first destination is ALWAYS Epcot, I am pretty sure that that's where we will probably head first. I am starting to think, though, that Epcot is the furthest away from WL? Oh well...
The only thing I dread are those air conditioned Busses... they make my fingers blue and I seem to be the only person on th ebus with this problem. Vinnie always makes me place my tushie on the back seats...the ones ontop of the engine, to avoid blue lips and worried guests on the b us....
So, on to the bus, probably to Epcot... and since he's always wanted to just mush around, I figured, this would be the best time to take him to just get something from there...
There are plenty of places that we havn't done there yet though... Last year we never got a chance to do Soarin which upset us both. I want to also do:
Turtle Talk with Crush
Wonders of Life
Honey I shrunk the Audience
Now, we probably won't be able to do all of these....but, that (I hope) will buy us enough time till our luggages come...
Unless of course Vin wants to just "Explore" Wilderness lodge...In that case... forget what I just wrote!:rotfl:
Anyone whose stayed at WL, can you give me any ideas of what to do there? I heard theres a trail?
Up next... Night 1, Day two...

Hi Jen!! I love, love, love all your surprises so far for VIN!! I just wanted to say that if you hate the buses that much (and, really, who doesn't ;) ). From the WL you can take the boat over to the Contemporary and then grab the monorail to Epcot :thumbsup2
As far as touring the hotel there are a bunch of little trails on the property that don't really lead to anywhere. Of course there is also the geyser that goes off ever houry. And inside the hotel you can search all the floors for "secret nooks." The hotel really is so neat that you will probably want to spend a little bit of time exploring.
Hope that information helps!!

Did somene say Nikon!
So, yesterday was my birthday. My fiance surprised me (If you want to read the specifics...http://disboards.com/showthread.php?p=30730515&posted=1#post30730515 ) With a NIKON D40!
Beyond the fact that I have always wanted a camera like this, I am also freaking out because I am not sure how to use it the way I want to use it.
In the midst of celebrating, I posted that I got one and can't find the thread I posted on:confused3 :rotfl2: That's what I get for posting while crying! lolol
Does anyone have one of these? My hope is to capture the fireworks during the friday that we are there so that I can get really awesome pictures... but, I am not sure how to capture them!
So, YAy for the Nikon... but I m a bit worried!
But PS- the Disney store box came today which means that I can post pictures of all Vin's surprises! I cant wait to be the surpriser instead of being the one surprised!

Day Two Perhaps?
Tuesday, July 21
So, the second day...
My plans were originally to sleep late... and surprise Vin with the shirts (I bought Donald and Daisy shirts, and I am ordering "bride and Groom" iron on's for them...hopefully they fit nicely... lol)
So, how to get Vin out and about. Well... I figured since we have the 6:30 ressie for Biergarten, We will probably head there early since this is Vins favorite place...
But, I was hoping we would be wearing our Bride and Groom shirts! So... How to get Vin out and get the shirts in!
My first idea was, to wake up early and tell him we should try the breakfast from the Consierge... and then, tell him I have to run back to get my camera, leave him at the table with food (He will never leave food alone) and then throw them on there... How's that sound? lolol
I am sure that todayhe will probably want to meet up with my Uncle, but usually that means Lunch, which I think I would rahter do the first day we get there, and take him to Artist's point since he did save us quite a lot of money!(Sorry so confusing, I am deciding as I type)
06:30 PM Biergarten Restaurant- To wear or not to wear... that is the question:rotfl: I guess we will decide then... Its probably best for vin to see if he's comfy in a Donald shirt...but I know he'll be fine lol...
After Biergarten we will probably head towards France or England for a walk and catch the fireworks. Which will of course be relaxing... I promise you... I will not kill the new husband with hours of running around.... I promise!!
(Enter Pinocchio's growing nose):rotfl:
We will probably head to the hotel after. I can't wait to find out if we have the Magic Kingdom View room... Now that would be wonderful to sit on our balcony and watch that every night!

Day Three...What will it Be?
July 22nd
Day three is basically going to be our "What do you want to do" day. I promised Vinnie on our last trip i would ditch out itinerary for our hm...:lmao: Um okay....
So, I am planning on just being free spirited this day...:hippie:
Dancing and frolicing in the wind...
Singing a tune as I walk through the (crowded) parks:rolleyes1
And keeping it as together and non-controlled as possible:cool2:
All the while in my head I'll be:yay: :scared1:
I Feel like the little engine that could... I think I can I think I can I think I can:headache:
I can. Vinnie is one of the most amazing people I have ever met, so I know if I just let it be:love: I will be back to the non-programing of every second of every day.. .and just let life teach me a lesson or two about enjoying it...:teacher:
However, I would love more than anything to head to a water park followed by Downtown Disney... Mostly because it holds my favorite thing in the world... The Selma Cookie (Please tell me someone has had this cookie?)
Warning... Off Topic Story Beginning....Warning
See, there is major backstory to the cookie. My Idol, Selma Barnabus who was my 3rd grade teacher, recently passed away... last year, the day before my trip to disney....
I was a wreck. We had already payed...and we already were set, so, I was missing the wake. It was very sad for me. See, she was the reason I am a teacher, and I had wrote her to tell her about my upcomming wedding, and how I wanted her to be a part of it...
So here i was, down in the dumps and not even DISNEY could get me out...
When we go to one of the stores in DTD and BAM, there it is. The SELMA cookie. It was also (To my shock and surprise) Carrot cake which was what she used to make for us! Now, I havnt been there since, but to me it was a sign that she was with me... I know... how could a cookie tell you that? lol.. But what arethe odds?
Off Topic Story... Ended:angel:
So, hopefully, this third day will be a walk in the park (Or DTD):cheer2:
Thursday, July 23
So, we can't stay out that late... because....
08:20 AM The Crystal Palace
Now, I am sure that you've seen past pictures of vinnie and his favorite place (CP) If not, let me add some more:rotfl:
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c215/BeachBeIIa1111/PICT0465.jpg
And it's only fair to add a little of me (At this time you would hear "VIN, take the pic, vin take the pic come on vin")
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c215/BeachBeIIa1111/PICT0468.jpg
Which means the rest of the day will be followed by MK! YAY!!!
I am dying for Vin to be "that guy" for Mike Laugh Floor... I LOVE that attraction...
One thing we won't be doing "Stitch's Great Escape"
The first time I went on that ride.. I didn't quite understand it.. since well... It's not a ride, but we will certainly not be doing that...
Its a small world......YES:thumbsup2
Many adventures of Winnie The Pooh......YES:thumbsup2
Snow white.......YES:thumbsup2
Splash Mountail..........A MUST. Vin loves that song... and I love Brair Rabbit!
Hmm... So, the rest of the day will probably be... Walk...Laugh... Point... Ride... Walk....Laugh...Point...Ride... Take a break and a few pictures....
Head back to the Hotel... Relax!

Oh; you're going to love your Nikon! I have a D60. My advice is to read the manual that came with it; you can look up other people's opinions on the best way to use it, but you have to teach yourself your own methods to get great shots.
Play around with it and you'll pick things up quickly. It is a very easy D-SLR to learn!

Hey... about your mousekeeping question... I always was completely opposite and tipped at the end of my trip but then I was told that I shouldn't do that because it might not be (or most likely won't be) the same person everyday (since obviously people don't work 7 days a week). So I am not sure how to do it, because if you tip that day then the person would get their tip but what if it wasn't tip worthy? But if you wait til the next day, it might be a different person. So I have no idea what is the right way to do it (and obviously didnt answer your question... just made more haha)

tipping: We always tip daily. I think $1 to $2 per person per day is common... For the 2 of us, $3-$5 a day depending on the service. If they didn't do a good job today, we'll tip less tomorrow. It may be a different person but you can't worry too much... usually it's the same person.
Your travel buddy is super cute! hehe. How do you fit everything in there?

My New Revelation

Dessert Party (private) explanation:
You can have a dessert party for two people (thanks to Lurkyloo's findings) at many of the places in Epcot's World showcase. You are paying over 300.00 for the venue and the dessert's however, you will have your own private viewing area. She had done it in UK however I am goign to find out where else it is possible for a dp for two :)I promise to keep you updated!

Funny Disney Story I shall share....
Sorry Ma'am you can't be naked!
So, the other day I called to ask the Wilderness Lodge about the room we will be staying in. FH has a terrible back so I had to find out about the bed situation and then the woman (Suzanner) and I began to talk...
I forgot HOW i got into the wordign exactly, however the conversation went something like this::rotfl:
"The balcony is great but I just wish I knew what side we were on, I don't want to sit out in the sun baking and get sunburn if I accidently fall asleep"
"I'm sorry Ma'am, but, disney doesn't permit any one to be naked while viewing from their balcony"
Now as much as I was in shock, I also then began to laugh.
A piece of me wanted to hang up the phone and pee herself...
But instead I said "No I;m sorry I said Baking, like,my skin" which probably sounded even worse than naked?
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Oh...Just another day with Disney!

Hey Jen! I just found your report and was psyched to see you're from Brooklyn... I am too! I'm over in Marine Park. It's so funny finding people from the city on here. And I'm around your age too, I'll be 22 in May. I had fun reading through all your updates and plans. You and Vinnie are so cute together and are going to have such a great time! Congrats on the upcoming wedding, too! :woohoo:
That whole Jet Blue story was INSANE! How in the world can they even let that happen?! Ugh. And when it comes to 1900 Park Fare... go!!! I go to Disney with my family and it's a place I never thought we'd go... it's the most expensive buffet and I didn't think my parents and 20-year old brother would be into the characters, but we loved every minute of it. The food was delicious and the characters were hilarious  My aunt and little cousin are coming down to Disney for the first time with us this summer and we're going on our last night. I can't wait, it's worth every penny!

It all comes down to taxes!
Working three jobs last year really did a number on my taxes. I ended up paying instead of getting back which honestly still was rather stinky.
So, with taxes, and my birthday, I am going to be calling Disney Convention this week to begin to book. I signed up for the DIsney Credit card as well. Not because I needed a credit card (because honestly I have only had one and was obsessed with going over) But, desperate times call for desperate measures! Vin can't find out about this so, I figured a little disney credit card will surly help me when it comes to the whole secretive planning process!
And I decided... that the last friday before we leave I will somehow get him to head over to Epcot. If i Have to tell him three hundred and somewhat dollars is waiting for us i will!
I really didn't want to go crazy and have plans for every day, but if we have to cancel a ressie, I will just post it here for anyone who wants it!
Thank you guys for your ideas!
I promise to update soon!

Is it normal that I keep looking at my daily countdown? Now, I know that if yesterday was 3 months 3 weeks and 3 days, then obviously, today will go to 2 days...
I am sure others do this as well... but its just being able to see the numbers go down that makes me all excited!
But I HAVE to check it daily! Crazy me... I just want to see it go down to 4 days! I'm getting more excited about the disneymoon than our wedding!!

The Must Do List Begins....!
There are way too many things that we havnt done from our last couple of visits... If anyone notices anything that I havnt let me know!
1. Carosel of Progress- Vin and I have never ever been on it and this upsets me. Almost every time we wanted to, something came up :(
2. Soarin- Last year we never got the chance. The wait was over two hours and vin's back couldn't take it... where are those fast passes when you need them?
3. Chef Mickeys- Okay, okay, I know...not something too crazy, but VInnie has never been there and I just think since he loves the Monorail (Please stand back for the closing doors....)he may like that we get off inside of the hotel! Plus who doesn't love mac and cheese?
4. Tonga Toast - Lurkyloo had posted this a while back... or was it Lynn... one of them... and I drool while looking at the picture. What more can i say? Banana:banana: cinnamon, and a whole lotta calories... yum-o
5. Mickey and Minnies house in Toontown Fair... can you believe... all these visits and vin and I have never been? Is that even normal? I am dying to see the inside of this mouses house! Now, does anyone else wonder why mickey and minnie are not living together? :rotfl:
I had a conversation with Vinnie abotu this last year... And he thinks that there is a lesson to be learned... They've been together for how many years?? And don't live together? Well... look at those plastered smiles...One look and you know they're happy because they're not killing eachother:rotfl:
6. Get my hair braided. Okay okay, I know, this is something silly, but I always see the kids walking around with the cute braid and beads etc... And since vin really doens't want us to do the bibbidy bobbidy boutique....I guess I'll settle for this!
7. Rope drop- I just youtubed it yesterday and I cried. I dont know why I am such a sap for these things but, seeing children so excited will surely make me cry!
8. WAke up tink- Maybe I am stealing achilds thunder but HOW COOL would that be??? I may even run up to a kid and say "LETS GO WAKE UP TINK!" lolol....
9. Eat a waffle cone from the main street ice cream parlor!! That's right! Last time I went the spectro magic parade was coming down the road and let me tell you I had never been in more heaven than I was that day. Mint chocolate chip... whip cream... fresh waffle cone.....
Vin's never been so thats definitely somewhere to go!
10. Beaches and Cream- Everything but the kitchen sink! ANy comments on this I will greatly appreaciate! Is it really something I want to consider because I've heard it is beyond fun!
11. Turtle Talk with Crush! OMG Dude... this attraction is supposed to be so narly! lolol... I love that turtle. We found one in our garden a few years back and called him noggin! Is this like Monsters Inc? I love that ride also!
12. Le Cellier- I am dying to try this cheese soup that they are all talking about!! Makes me beyond excited! We made a ressie for lunch so i hope its just as good then!

Sad sad update...
We may have to cancel the honeymoon or stay somewhere else....
The economy has claimed yet another person, my wonderful Uncle... who booked our vacation. I believe that because of that we lose his deal and would then , have to pay 10,000 opposed to how much we would have had to pay. We do not have the money for that at all right now, we put most of our money into a CD that we can't touch so there goes that...
We are both rather upset.... If you can just please keep my in your prayers and sprinkle loads of pixy dust my way, I would be so happy.....
We rarely do anything for ourselves and this was a big thing... Just dont want to put a hold on it right now :(

Sending you lots of pixie dust! Something similar happened to me when planning our honeymoon, we were suppose to go to Tahiti/Bora Bora, stay in a over the water bungalow for 2 weeks. Hubby was offered a job at the last minute, we had to cancel. :-( We had a few days but it was way too short for Tahiti, instead we went to Playa del Carmen, Mexico... had a blast anyways!
Don't worry, things have a way of working themselves out. You may not get your "planned dream" honeymoon but you'll still have an awesome honeymoon... and maybe in hindsight, it'll still be your "dream" honeymoon!
Options you can consider: instead of a honeymoon suite at Wilderness Lodge, maybe just a regular room? That will cut your room cost in 1/2. Or what about the buy 4 get 3 free package they have going on?
As for money in CDs, they usually let you take it out early but there's a penalty, they take away some of the interests you earned. Not sure how your bank work.

Hi Jenny! After seeing you on the July thread, I finally decided to check out your PJ! We'll be on our honeymoon at the same time as you...and you WILL be there!! It really sucks that things aren't working out the way you planned for your resort but like you said, you have to just go for it!! You only get one honeymoon! I'm VERY tight with spending but for our honeymoon, we are splurging!! Good luck with everything and I can't wait to read more!
Oh and I can't believe how detailed your plans are already!! Makes me feel like I'm slacking! Who knows...once I have all my plans decided, our paths may cross...maybe in WS....maybe crystal palace....we have a lot of the same favorite places!

Hi Jen!! I am so sorry to hear about your Uncle and the "kink" in your plans. Have you looked into renting out DVC points from someone? If you get a 1BR you still have a jacuzzi tub and they have units at the WL? Just an idea that probably would cost less than paying full price for the honeymoon suite.

HI everyone!
So, After all this confusion, finally everything has been figured out...
Disney will honor our ressie since it was made before he was laid off. Supposidly it will all be straightened out yay!
Other than that, I have a few more surprised up my sleeve for Vin.
His birthday is coming up soon and I got him a gepettos workshop snowglobe and a bunch of other awesome things along with a pinnichio mug from disneystore.
So, with only 89 days till the honeymoon, and all the ADRS done, All thats left is planning... you got it... MORE SURPRISES!
Not sure how it is all going to pan out but I am sure that i will come up with something else extra to add.
I was thinking either a wishes cruise or the illuminations - both range at about 400-500 bucks though so it all depends on when I get my taxes back ! lol...I love those taxes!
Already we are gettign together with a bunch of other Juliers and i can't wait! This is going to bes uch an awesome time!
Hope everyone is well!

Name Our Destination!
Okay, so, Vinnie and I always choose something to do every year when we go. Last year, we went and got candy from "All around the world"
Of course, hitting england, I ate the Crunchies the second I was there, but don't tell anyone!:rotfl:
I was thinking we should do that again this year, but I want to do something else also....
I at first was thinking
desserts around the world (But we may throw up)
Food around the world (same, one saurbraten is enough for me)
Drinks aroudn the world (I can't have beer)
So, I thought I would leave it up to my Disers to come up with something fun for me to do...
It doesn't have to be around the world, It could be something in every park, just not sure what!!
Thanks in advance, I'll pick the best 5 and put a poll! Dont worry about getting too crazy!

Hmm, or how about see how many characters you can get in one day? or autographs? OR you can have a contest and see who can get more!
I kind of like the idea of sticking with World Showcase though (it's my FAV place to be!) so maybe get a picture with an icon from each country? Like the phone booth in the UK, the troll in Norway, etc. You can drink around the world without having to get beer, if you decide to do that. OR you can do pictures with some sort of attire from each country, like a big sombrero in Mexico, an umbrella in China, a fez from Morrocco...
Sorry for so many, I'm just throwing my ideas out there as they come to me! I'm BIG into pictures so most of the things I can think of involve taking pics!

We heard some great things baout this place for dinner...So I thought I would open the discuss for this board...
We are looking to book for their dinner, what do you guys think? Is it worth it? Or should we try something different?
Thanks!
Jenny
There is never a trip we have gone to in the last 6 year that hasn't involved CP dinner or lunch. We have done the dinner a lot more but LOVE either of them. My parents go to Disney at least 4 times a year and they have to go everytime also. But that is us. Our most favorite is the Salmon.
Congrats on you upcoming Wedding.

That's a cute idea!
Okay so you rock I am totally going to post those now!

great news about WL too.. that would have been so sad, but you had a great attitude towards it :goodvibes
for your 'fun thing' to do this trip... how bout seeing how many pressed pennies you can collect from around the parks?
i have only ever seen a couple of the machines around the parks but, according to wdw radio show & magic-city-mayhem podcasts, they are everywhere! and each one only costs $0.51 each :)

We got engaged at WDW but are going to DL as part of our honeymoon in June, and I have been trying to think of surprises for him too, but it is hard because everything I can think of involves Disney!!! I'd love to see some of the surprises you got if you have pics :) And congratulations!!! Oh and how did you design those poem cards that you're putting with the surprises? I LOVE LOVE LOVE them.

What about maybe surprising him with things he likes for your honeymoon? Like if he likes a certain team, leave a hat on the bed with a little poem.
I also have the template for the poem card that I made on the other journal I have :)

A sudden fear has crept over me...
I am noticing a pattern. Whenever I becomehigly stressed, BOOM, I get sick. And not just Sneeze sneeze, cough sniffle sick, but, full out, chills and high fevers sick....
So, suddenly today, I said to myself "WHAT IF since my wedding is TWO DAYS before our disneymoon, I get sick before it?!"
I know I shouldn't worry and just shoot up on Vitimin C, but now, I am kind of worried. This has happened continuously. And I mean, for the last year. Something big happens and I get sick, a wedding is surely a factor in all of this...
And the crazy part? Is that I am more concerned about being sick for Disney than I am for the wedding! lol....
Anyway, other than that, anyone have any severe reccomendations for a severe sinus infection? lol. I am thinking the doctor may be my only answer...

Answer When April 29th Rolls around, you bake a disney cake!
Vins birthday is April 29th... So, for the last three years, I have made a hidden mickey cake for his birthday...
Of course last years.... Beat the rest... How about some chocolate covered hidden mickey strawberries?
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c215/BeachBeIIa1111/wedding%20things/PICT0202.jpg
Of course I dont think that I would beat this guy in any cake competition...

But I am pretty sure that I am wayy cuter:confused3
Last year we went to the brown derby on our last night at Disney. Vin of course had to try....

The Grapefruit cake... and fell in love..:lovestruc
So, I asked our Waiter and he glady gave it to me! (If anyone wnats it let me know, Ill scan it in!)
Now, here is the question... How do I add hidden mickeys to a grapefruit cake? Any suggestions? :rotfl:

Jenny, I don't know if you know this but when I was trying to figure out which date I wanted for my wedding, I found out that you wedding day (the 17th, right?) was the first official opening day of Disneyland for family, friends, celebrities and press...and my wedding date, the 18th, was the official opening for the public! :thumbsup2
I thought that was pretty cool, especially since my sister's wedding date is on the opening day of Magic Kingdom and Epcot.

Updates:
So, Vin and I have decided on various things this week...
The biggest being that we don't want to do the fireworks cruise...
I wanted it to be a surprise but when I brought it up to him he said it was alot of money and that would be nice at a time where we didn't have a million other things happening...
whick I am sure makes sense... so...
There goes planning our next June trip :rotfl: and a surprise 300 dollar fireworks cruise:rotfl2:
I am sure it will go up in cost by then but... who cares! Our honeymoon is two months and two weeks away....
SO AWESOME!
So, For vins birthday I cooked a whole disney menu...
Appetizer
Lobster cakes from Kona
salad
salad from sprit of aloha
Dinner
Pineapple chicken from spirit of aloha
Dessert
Grape fruit cake!
I will post pics and let you know how they all come oout!

That's too bad about the fireworks cruise, but at least you can do it on a future trip. Its been a few years since we have done one. Are the Illuminations cruises $300 too?
Looking forward to seeing the pictures from the birthday dinner. We did something similar a couple of years ago. We had a big group of family going to Disney (several for the 1st time) and a few weeks before we had a dinner party with all Disney themed food. It was a huge hit!

OMG, Jenny, please please please forgive me for not coming on here- i NEVER noticed it before and i have just read it all!! I will sure keep upto date now and follow - you havent got long left! omg!
So, with you getting stressed and getting sick, is there any way you could go and see someone about this before the wedding? I dunno, like someone that teaches you how to relax, be calm and not get stressed? (hehe i can hear you laughing!) I know they can be expensive but it could be with a try? Even if you got everything done, there will still be something you will stress about leading upto the wedding / dmoon and we dont want you getting sick- or it will be on your mind that you will get sick, and you will get sick because you are thinking about it (thats what i do!) Its the only thing i can suggest. Is there anything a doctor can pescrible to control nerves and stress that can cause sickness? Or can he introduce you to a program that helps with dealing with this? Wish i could help!
You just need to chill ya butt out and have fun and not worry about anything! hehe

I get sick because I am a freak. Right before disney last year, a plane crashed and I had severe phobias... it also didnt help that i started to watch lost!!!!!!!!!!!:rotfl:
I have considered it. Vinnie is all into natural remedies and reccomended valerian root, IVe been taking that and have been rather calm! I NEED TO BE CALM!! lol:scared1::scared1:

i hear where you are coming from- you are not a freak- when i get worried about something or when i upset someone or something along those lines- i always get sick, but most of the time, its just my mind?- i end up making myself sick just so i feel better- but now i control it a lot better.
Its definately worth experimenting with different 'remedies' to see how it works with you, after all- firstly; we dont want you getting sick leading upto the wedding or on the wedding day, and secondly; we dont want you getting sick at disney at all!??

It used to be called the "Disney Dining Experience" but not it's the "Tables in Wonderland." When we bought it with our annual passes a few years ago it was $60 total and I didn't do the calculations, but I'm SURE it saved us money. You get 20% off most restaurants on property. We got APs for our trip too and are already planning to go again in October. We will definitely get the DDE (or TIW) card again this time too!
Last time we ordered it about a month and a half before we left so that it would be good through the year we have our APs. For example, the trip was in mid August and I think we ordered it early July. When it came in the mail it said it was good through August of the following year. I don't remember how long it takes to deliver but you want to order it close enough to the time you leave so that it's good through that month of the following year. So I would say for us, we should order it sometime in June, but I don't remember if there is an exact cut off date to ensure it's good through the July of next year. Oh great, now you got me all anxious about the specifics of this!!!!
I think I might actually look into seeing if and how we can just buy it once we are there so I don't have to worry about figuring that all out!

Thanks for the info! The price went up a LOT since last time I got it...I think it was 3 years ago. I definitely won't worry about getting it ahead of time. I seems like it'll be easy to purchase once we're there...probably at the same time and place that we exchange our AP vouchers.

It has gotten alot easier to get the Tables of Wonderland card and I definitely recommend it :thumbsup2 I know you mentioned something about 2cards, but you will only need to buy for one since the discount is good for up to 8 guests.

Thats great news about getting a honeymoon suite at the WL for the same price as CBR, sorry to hear about your uncle loosing he's job, im glad for you's that you will still be able to have the suite without having to pay all the extra money for it.

I think we have decided to get the tables in Wonderland card.
Crazy us actually went through each menu and figured out what we would be eating, drinking etc. And it came out that for this year, and then to use it next year, it really will make sense!:cool1:
My advice is to add up what you think each will be and then figure out if its worth it!

hi jenny!
my parents have APs with the Tables in Wonderland & they love it, think it's definitely worth the $75 for the savings they make... just to let you know, after the 20% discount, an 18% tip is then added onto to the check automatically with the TiW card.. it might be in the 'small print' .. my dad was tipping double for a while i think, until he realised! :rotfl:
btw, in 8 weeks time... i'll be there!! .. in walt disney world. aaahhh!!
Emma princess: x x x
ps i really really want to do the Kim Possible thing in Epcot too! altho it might have to wait until my December trip with my sister hehe :cutie: x

Wouldn't you still leave a tip even if you didn't have the discount card though?
Think of it this way. If you paid full price for a meal of $100, you'd pay $100 plus tip (if you left 18% tip, your total would be $118).
However if you have the discount card, your meal which was originally priced $100 would be only $80. Even after you add the mandatory 18% tip, your total would only be $98 (assuming the 18% tip is for the full amount of the meal before discount). So, after tip is added in, you are paying $98 instead of $118. That is a $20 savings, which is more than 2%.

I always get the Cobb salad when I go there (minus some of the toppings) :rotfl: I love the setting in there, you don't even feel like you're at Disney. Yup Cobb Salad!! DBF is not a 'healthy' eater.. but says that is the best salad he has ever eaten!!
i had the pork last time which was great.. DBF had the duck with venison sausage.. he enjoyed it, but i was shocked he was eating Donald and Bambi in WDW!! :lmao:
i loved the grapefruit cake too (did you know that the original Brown Derby in Hollywood had that on the menu, as the famous movie stars were always doing some crazy diet where they had to eat grapefruit everyday, so the BD chef invented the grapefruit cake!?!! disney trivia there :rotfl:)
mmm i want to eat there right now!!
Jen... when you check in at Wilderness Lodge, you should request to be the 'flag family' for a day.. apparently you get to help put the flags up on the roof of the hotel?! lol.
Happy Wednesday!

OKay so, the time is getting closer...
I believe that our count down is now close to 38... WOAH
So, yesterday vin and I headed to the local dept store and he found a pair of rocketdog sandals. They are awesome, plaid bottom, leather top (Vin cant do the "thong" thing and wont do it... so this was a good deal)
I am still lost with what to wear. Like a dummy I threw out the sandals I had worn years back, and now I am in a small worry as I have hurt my knee even worse...
Two years of a torn miniscus and of course it chooses my honeymoon year to totally act up:confused3
Any other suggestions? I think I am looking more at like, the berky style kind but not berky? if that makes sense? lol
Other than that my dinner ressies are ofically done and I have completely finished my Vacation journal *promise to post later!**
The thing is, now, I guess I have to start moving my tooshie and getting the hm things done!

Disneys magica express came today! YAY!!:banana::banana:
So different though...
For starters.... it is under my new name (MrsFazz)
And second- we were only given one luggage yellow tag each. We used to be able to do two per person (of course last year we had to pay the extra 20...now 30...dollars per bag but hmm... Wonder howthat works..
So instead we bought some awesome luggage.
Vin bought a heys set in bright blue, the semi-hard covered case and the carryon....
I bought a new liz claibourne bag in blue, as my carry on, but my actual luggage is a roxy.... huge... in blue and white hibiscus...woo hoo!!
So wow, 32 days and we are on our way to being mr and mrs and then, 34 days and we are on our way to disney!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:banana:
It's sad... I am semi more excited about the wilderness lodge honeymoon than the wedding day...but who cares:rotfl:

Hey Jen, we are back and we had such a GREAT time! When we were at EPCOT, I started going around to the countries to have the people in the different countries write "friend" in their language, but I did not get to all of the countries, I also took photos of those people as well...I ended up taking 500 photos and 120 photopass photos! Coronado was really a great resort, the kids want to go back there again! When we went to the Magic Kingdom on the 4th, we were able to ride 8-10 rides within 2 hours! There was no one there! The park opened at 8:00 and we got there at 8:30, it was great! We had lunch at Tony's which was good as well. Those were the only two parks that we did this time, but it was so worth the trip!
You are getting close now, huh? I cannot wait to hear all about it when you return!!!!

Jen, since we had such a short trip this time around, we only did Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. We had lunch at Tony's at the Magic Kingdom and it was really good and we also ate at T-Rex at Downtown Disney, and that was AWESOME! The food was really good and then of course, both of the kids made the dinosaurs as well...we really had a good time! We spent one day at our resort and just played in the pool and rented on of those surrey bikes and rented those little blue and white sea racers, I think that's what they are called. Will you be posting any photos from your rehearsal dinner?

My daughter and I are going to be in Disney July 27-Aug 3rd to celebrate my birthday. We are having lunch at Le Cellier on Thursday July 30 at 1:00. Don't know if we will still be there when you arrive but I will look for you.
