In this months Which? Magazine there is another article about travel insurance. So I thought I would jot down the details of the best buys for you.

http://www.jameshampden.co.uk

JourneyWise Supercover £48.30
http://www.journeywise.co.uk

Primary Direct Superplus Plan £49.40
http://www.primarydirect.co.uk

Annual Policies, Worldwide, Family Cover:

Primary Direct Super Plan £64.35
http://www.primarydirect.co.uk

Options Premier Plus £64.50
http://www.optionsinsurance.co.uk

Direct Travel Standard £65.00

The report also highlights companies who are good for covering people with existing medical problems.

If you have any questions or want more info, let me know.

Hi Tim

A member of the group I'm travelling with in September has been refused travel insurance by a few companies based on her recent operation so I would be extremely grateful if you could give me some more information - I will go into whsmiths lunchtime to try and get a copy of which to read the report myself.

Many thanks

Neil

You won't get Which? in W H Smiths, its subscription only!

You might find a copy at your local library if you're lucky.

Hi

I've since found the following site which looks like it could offer insurance:

http://www.medi-cover.co.uk/

I'll post more if we find them

Just had a look at the Which? magazine and it mentions the following companies that are good for insuring people with existing medical conditions:

Club Direct
www.clubdirect.com
0800 074 4558

Flexcover Direct
www.flexcover.co.uk
020 8771 0440

Post Office Counters
www.postoffice-counters.co.uk
0800 387 858

Travel Protection Group
02890 320 797

Which? only made enquiries for a small selection of existing medical conditions, si it would be wise to check with the above for the condition that your travel companion suffers.
