Surprising Ma....I did pull it off!! Surprise is out!!!

So, as the title goes, I'm surprising my Ma for her birthday, for a trip to the world. She has NO idea, and will probably kill me! I haven't figured out when to tell her, or even how to tell her, but that'll come later. So far, we're gonna be there Sept 15th to the 19th, we're hitting each park, and staying at CBR in the new pirat room pirate: My mom hasn't stayed on disney property, and has never been to animal kingdom. My sister is going with us, she's helping with the trip...if you wanna call hit help :rolleyes1 We're still trying to figure out where to eat!! This might take a while...popcorn::
We're using the military 5 day companion tickets, for $99, and I'm gonna upgrade them to hoppers when we get there. We are using the DDP, and my sister doesn't understand the concept of ADR...so I had to explain that to her!! :headache: took a while for it to sink in, but it finally did. I've given her a list of places I'd want to eat at, and think Ma would like, that was a week ago, and she hasn't given me her ideas yet. :sad2: SO, as I'm waiting for her to decide what MA would like to eat, I'm sitting here going crazy, thank GOD I got the May trip to keep me occupied, FOR NOW!! :rotfl2: So, anyone who has any ideas on HOW to tell ma, I'm open to them. Next up, the Cast.....

She's the type of person who doesn't like anyone to do anything FOR her, but she'll do ANYTHING for her 2 girls!! We are her life, which is should be for any mother! I'm SOOOOO Happy we're doing this trip for her, and once she finds out AFTER she kills me, I'm sure she'll be very happy!!

My Sister....She's the BIG TIME NON DISNEY person of the family...she doesn't understand why we can't just "go with the flow" UM, YOU'LL SEE!! :laughing: I do love her, she's my only sister...and I don't get to spend enough time with her at all! I do fear that we're gonna drive each other crazy with our opposite personalities!!

Any wagers on how many times this is gonna change? Okay, this is MY plan, it'll probably change once we get DSIS's input, but hey, this actually sounds pretty good, if I do say so myself :rotfl:

Day 1, Sept 15th- arrive around noon, hope the room is ready, if so, settle in, and relax, maybe take a swim. Later on that evening, attend MNSSHP, Ma has done MK before, many times, and I think this will be a way to make it TOTALLY different for her! Planning for an ADR for around 5ish at either CP or Tonys, haven't decided which one yet.

Day 2 Sept 16th- Sleep in just a tad bit, I promised my DSIS that I won't get her up at the crack of dawn EVERY day, just when we're out late the night before...so IF we stay until midnite, even I would want to sleep in a tad bit after that!:rolleyes1 So, this day, arrive at AK around 10, counter service for lunch, and then plan for KONA for dinner, since AK closes early.

Day 3 Sept 17th- MA'S BIRTHDAY!!! This day I'm planning for Epcot, 2 of her sisters are coming over to spend the day with us there, so it should be fun! CS for lunch somewhere in the WS maybe, and Coral Reef for Birthday DINNER!!! Illuminations afterwards.

Day 4 Sept 18th- DHS, Not sure how long we're gonna be at this park, so dinner is up in the air for this day. This is not my favorite park, so I'd wanna hop elsewhere.

Day 5 Sept 19th-birthday girls choice for park...hit what she liked, or just MK again, who knows! We're checking out this day too, do we'll be driving home when we're done with the park. If they just wanna go home, that'll be fine too!

One thing my DSIS and I agree on, is taking advantage of the Evening EMH's, that way we can use the lower crowds to our advantage and take in some of the bigger sights, and stuff of each park. I'm HOPING it's gonna be not so crowded so we can do that during the day...and not sure on during the day breaks, we may or may not take them, depending on how we feel. We may be done with what we wanna do in a park, and have enough time to go back for a swim before dinner!!!! Next up, dissecting arrival day!!!

YAAY!! I can't wait! Way too long to go at this point, but hey, I think about it all the time!! So, we arrive on Sept 15th, which is a Tuesday. We're staying at CBR in a pirate theme room, been toying around with the idea of possibly upgrading to FW to a cabin, so Ma and DSIS can have their own beds, but not sure of the cost....YET. We'll see how well we do at paying this one down first! :laughing: So, we arrive on a Tuesday, I'm HOPING around noon, knowing my dsis it'll we'll probably LEAVE my house at noon! :rotfl2: So I'm allowing extra time for that! We'll get checked in, hopefully the room is ready, if not, we'll mosey around somewhere, until it IS ready, again, knowing dsis, that'll probably be the BAR!! :lmao: Then me and DS can swim! :) When we FINALLY get to our room, we're gonna rest, and then get ready to go to MNSSHP. Again, Ma hasn't done one of the parties before, so it'll be something different for her. DSIS probably won't dress up, I MIGHT be able to get a mickey or minnie headband on Ma, we'll see. I'll buy one in May for her and go from there!! DS wants to be a stormtrooper, or clone trooper, cause he's SOOOO into Star Wars! I was TRYING to get him to be something DISNEY, like Buzz, but NOPE....gotta be star wars! I'm gonna wear my tigger headband, LOVE that thing. So, that'll be our costumes, or lack there of! HAHA I'm gonna shoot for an ADR at either Tony's or Crystal Palace for 4:30 or 5ish, Maybe even Liberty Tree Tavern, Havne't decided the food yet! Maybe once we spring this on Ma, she can help us WITH The food choices!! LOL So, we'll eat, and then after some research, we'll probably hit the rides that won't be open, Like the Jungle Cruise...head down that way. I do want to watch the parade in frontier land, that's the best spot, I think! After that, head towards HM, then Fantasyland, and around the horn, and hit the fireworks, LOVE the parties' fireworks! After that, probably some pictures with Characters, and then back to the resort when they kick us out at Midnite. By then Ma will be exhausted, and DSIS will want a drink :sad2: Keeping my fingers crossed for this to be a very LOW CROWD night, since it's a Tuesday....for Ma and DSIS, they don't do well with crowds, and DSIS doesn't do well with people in general :rolleyes1

Anyways, this SHOULD be day one, I really can't wait until we finalize the dining, I'll rest easier!! Anyone have any favorites in the MK, or ANYONE with ideas on Surprising MA?? Anyone? I'm at a loss here!!! Next up....brainstorming ideas for Surprising Ma!!

OMG I LOVE That poem, it'll even work with September!! :woohoo: Wow, I can use that for Mother's day to give to her! Not sure we'll be paid for by then, but mostly!! DSIS is LUCKY, she lives in Arizona, so I get to be the one to take the first force of "the finding out"

Another Idea I got from the creative DISigns board, is an invitation, they personalize things, so was thinking of asking for one of them, inviting them down for dinner..we do that regularly since we live 45 mins apart...and slip it to her then...I did that with a Valentines Day card...this way DH can join in on the fun of telling her! Other then those 2 ideas, I'm lost!!! I'm SOOOO not good at surprises, OR keeping secrets!! It's hard to be around her, cause then I can't talk about it, so I talk about the trip in May LOL Keeps ME occupied!! Keep the ideas coming, and thanks!!

Okay, So Ma doesn't know this is happening, called her on saturday to see if she was up for visitors, and she started talking to me about when her bosses were leaving for this year, etc. OMG, THEY'RE GOING TO LONDON IN SEPTEMBER!!! AAAAHHHHHH!!! So, I stayed calm on the phone, went up there to visit/investigate, and my Aunt was there. So I asked her if she knew, and she said no, she'd find out!! So, now I'm stressing, thinking we would have to move our dates around...UG!! I despirately wanted to be there for her birthday, but if not, that's okay too. I am grateful that we found this out BEFORE my sister bought her plane tickets!! :rolleyes1 Ah well, I'll keep posted on what all I find out and when. Until then, will we have to tell her because of this?? OMG!!!

I don't know what to do about my DSIS tho, she's stressing me out with the lodging. My travel lady from Dreams Unlimited says she doesn't think we can get the military discount on the family suites, so we may have to go with a cabin, and have my DSIS deal with only one bathroom. Okay, my Aunt talked to her bosses, they haven't made travel arrangements, and they LOVE what I'm doing for Ma, so they're okay with her birthday week. WHEW!! Crisis averted!! BUT....my Aunt is coming over to spend her birthday in the park with us, and she put in a request to go to Magic Kingdom, since she hasn't been there in forever, SO, that throws a wrench into the works, and I'm working on sketching a new rough plan. SO, would it be too much MK if we did MNSSHP on the 15th, and then MK again on the 17th? :confused3 I wouldn't think so, cause MK is my favorite park, but would it be for my DSIS? I emailed her, I KNOW i'm driving her crazy with the planning, but I just don't wanna go and then go thru the "what do you want to do today" question! I wanna wake up and say HERE'S what we're doing today! SO...DSIS doesn't like epcot, so I'm thinking of doing that by EMH, or on the 18th after DHS....or we can do epcot on checkout day of the 19th???? I dunno!! I'm Confused!! Okay...here goes!! Had to play around with things a bit, and not even sure if DSIS will go for it, but hey, here goes!! HAHA

Day 1, Sept 15th, no change, arrive around noon, dinner at Crystal Palace at 5, MNSSHP that night.

Day 2, Also no change, AK CS lunch, with Kona's for dinner

Day 3, Ma's birthday, here's where the changes start LOL Aunt Donna wants to go to MK, since she hasn't been there for about 23 years, so I'm game for pleasing her! LOL Since she's helping with the bosses and such. Gonna do the birthday dinner at Tony's. I looked at CRT, but the food doesn't seem appealing to me for dinner! Not sure if Ma would like it either, so go with the ol' standby of italian food!!

Day 4 Epcot with Coral Reef for dinner...I REALLY wanna try Coral Reef!!! HAHA

Day 5, check out, and DHS. Last CS for lunch, and then head home when we're done with this park.

Let me know what you think, so my day one plan should still stand, I'll work on a day 2 now that we know the dates aren't changing. Plus, we're upgrading from staying at CBR to FW Cabins...DSIS is insisting on her own bed...go figure!! HAHA Tell me what you think, and GOD lets hope it doesn't change again!! :lmao:

That all sounds really good!! I'm so happy that the bosses approved it :) One word of advice- I would wait to see the park hours before you finalize things...Disney has been changing things like crazy so i would just wait to finalize, but it looks really good!

I think you can never have enough MK! If you make an ADR for a sit down restaurant on one or both of the days it won't feel as overwhelming too ;)

Alright, back to the planning!! HAHA DSIS's plan is NOT to be up with the chickens this day, depending on how late we're out the night before, but I DO want to get to the park around AT LEAST 10ish, for touring purposes! First up, as always is EE, I just LOVE that ride, DSIS and Ma haven't been there, and I know they'll like that...and then head over to dinoland, and Nemo show, after that work our way around, the bug show, Festival of the lion king, and then the safari ride. I KNOW they'll like that. They may not like the conservation station, so we can go there if we have the time, and fit in Kali somewhere along the way. I don't have a definate plan, just wanted to go with the flow for the parks, but had a good idea on what direction we wanted to go in. We'll leave here, and head over to Kona for dinner...I may change this tho, we're eating at Kona in May for DH, so if I like it, then I'll take Ma and DSIS there, if not, I'll change it. I do want to be back and in bed semi fairly early, since day 3 is Ma's birthday....That's gonna be a long day!!!

Also, we're upgrading to FW to the cabins, not sure if I mentioned it before, DSIS wants her own bed :rolleyes: I'm just glad she doesn't want her own bathroom too!!! :scared: So, my dreams unlimited lady, gave me a new quote, which is about $200 more...so I told DSIS that's her share!! :lmao: I think we'll be alright in the cabins, we can use the car to get around, I know my way around REALLY well there, so I shouldn't get lost hardly at all!

Next up...day 3, MA'S BIRTHDAY!! :cake:

Yea, that's my sister too, Ma can always go back to the room, and relax, and me, DSIS and DS can go for more. We actually upgraded to a cabin at FW, cause DSIS was stressing that she had to sleep with Ma! Now we're all 'pooh sized' so sleeping together in a full size bed is hard. ESPECIALLY with DSIS...now I gotta keep reminding her that this trip is for MA!!! And, actually, MA is gonna MURDER me!!! My aunt was telling her yesterday that her and another aunt were gonna go in together and get her a nintendo ds for christmas, now, those things aren't that bad anymore, like $129, and she went thru the roof!! "do you know how much those things cost? Ya'll aren't spending THAT kind of money on me" That sorta stuff... I was just sitting there with my mouth closed going oh man, yep, I'm done, I'm dead!! LOL So, If when I go to tell her, if I don't post for a couple of days, send someone looking for me!!! HAHA

Alright, had to do some switching with this one, and probably won't with this day, because I have 2 aunts coming to spend the day with us. We are a pretty tight knit family, and all Ma's sisters stick together, and celebrate together, so I offered to my Aunt who helped with the bosses to come over for a day, and she GLADLY said okay, so Her and my other Aunt who is in a wheelchair is coming over, and they requested Magic Kingdom. I did want EPCOT, mostly for the birthday dinner, but Ma is the type of person that doesn't care, she just wants to be with family! So, she'll be IN MK for her birthday, with 2 of her 3 sisters, BOTH of her daughters, her only kids BTW, and her ONLY grandson!! HOW COOL IS THAT GONNA BE FOR HER?? She's gonna be on :cloud9: After she kills me that is!! :rolleyes1 Anyways, If I know my Aunt Donna, she's gonna want to be up with the chickens, and be there when it opens. Which is fine. I'm like that too. Aunt Donna hasn't been there since my cousin was 5, and she's now 36, so it's been a while, and has COMPLETELY changed!! So, this is what I got penciled in.

Get to MK, and go towards fantasyland first, then work towards toontown, tomorrowland, and then towards adventureland, probably after the parade. I have Tony's penciled in for the birthday dinner, this may change, when DSIS finally gets back to me on her choices. BUT, since we have 2 extra's joining us, we won't be able to hop very easily, and we'll take our time since we'll have one in a wheelchair. I am tossing up the idea of going straight to adventureland, and working around that way. I KNOW they'll want to hit the christmas store, which is fine, I LOVE that store, and that's where Ma will probably spend her birthday gift card! If she doesn't spend it on my son!!

My thoughts on this day is to try to fit in as much MK as I can, for my aunt who hasn't been there in 31 years! I'm not sure when my other aunt was last there!! So, full Day of MK, WITH 2 aunts, I'll need to start looking up disability stuff, to see what all Aunt Judi can do, she can't transfer too much, so I gotta do research for her. But, she's the type that's happy to be included! If we go on a ride that she can't do, she'll be happy as long as we back her up somewhere that she can just watch people. She's happy doing just that!! So, let me know what you think about this day, I have a set of the happy birthay mickey ears that I wore for my birthday, not sure if I can get Ma to wear those, but I'll try my hardest!! :rolleyes:

Well, little update first, DSIS STILL hasn't gotten back to me! :headache: I sent her an email earlier asking if she was still alive, and why is she ignoring me!! :lmao: So, we'll wait for that reply. Aunt Donna and I are working on the birthday rides and stuff, cause Aunt Judi is in a wheelchair, I spent yesterday going thru the list of rides from the disabilities thread, and explaining in my opinion how it would be for her, and if she can do it, etc. Mostly the hight of the ride vehicle and stuff, can you tell I'm bored at work? :rolleyes1 Aunt Donna had an idea to tell Mom the weekend before, but I think we should do it earlier then that. So Ma can have time to save some of her own money, I KNOW she can't go anywhere without buying something for her grandson!!! :sad2: I don't know a Grandma who can!! :rotfl: I've been thinking of around July 4th, but can go into early August...once I get the WHEN down, I can work on the HOW!! Maybe August 1st we can go up and have dinner with her, and drop the bomb on her. My Aunt thinks she'll be thrilled, I think she will be AFTER she kills me!! Anyways, back on topic.

Day 4. I'm really on the fence on this one, it'll either be Epcot or DHS. I REALLY wanna try out Coral Reef for dinner, but I KNOW DSIS doesn't want to spend a full DAY in epcot, so I'm torn. This one will probably stay a mystery until the park hours come out in June. I was thinking of possibly doing DHS in the morning, then hopping OVER to Epcot, but I'm just undecided at this point. I'm not a big fan of either parks, but I'll do it for Ma. I want her to see as MUCH as possible. We did just do Epcot a little over a year ago, so we shouldn't need to hit too much in that park. I dunno. I want to get to DHS on whatever day so we can get a fast pass for TSM, I know they'll both like that, and ride RnRC and TOT before it gets TOO :crowded: SO, this day will be more solidified in June. Day 5 we'll do whatever we didn't do this day, since it'll be checkout day. These 2 days depend alot on EMH's, and park hours and such. And whatever we decide on for Dinner. So, these last 2 days will be a work in progress!! Any input anyone has will be very much appreciated!!

From DSIS, FINALLY!!!!! :headache: She basically says that She's there, she just lets me ramble on, and she likes the plan so far, and thinks the cabins are narrow!! :scared: I'm sitting here thinking she ain't gonna be happy unless she's in the BIGGEST suite disney has to offer, for Value Resort prices!! :sad2: So, I told her we'll be fine!! I sent the menu for Tony's to my Aunt, the one who's helping us, and she said it looks good enough for her! So, it's a go for Tony's the night of the birthday! I'm so excited, I just can't wait! It's gonna be fun. Still minimal contact from the sister, but that's okay, better to not confuse her so much!! :rolleyes1 I got in a photopass share, even tho I'll have my camera, and DSIS will probably have hers too, it'll be nice to have pictures of all 4 of us! We're doing the quick service DP, so I went through the list of all of the restaurants, and picked out the ones that looked the best. We're just starting to go through the park maps and map out our days too. It's so darn fun.

Actually, I am having a hard time waiting to tell her. I told the lady on the disign board what I wanted, and she worded it for me. I told her to put in the ps. something for Ma not to kill us!! HAHA and that she already has the time off. My aunt is helping me TREMENDOUSLY!!! Which I'm forever grateful. It's been a while, been focusing on the May trip, but had a light bulb come on with these dining issues for this trip. PLUS, DSIS woke up and started giving me feedback!! :scared: So, I'm taking some of it, explaining my point on others, and am gonna start sending her menus of places. That way we can work on this together!!!! Now if she'd just help make a payment, I'd be REALLY happy!!! :lmao: Anyways, here's how it stands now...
Tuesday Sept 15, arrive, MNSSHP Dinner at O'hana at about 4.
Wednesday, 16th, Animal Kingdom, Whispering Canyon for Dinner, about 7
Thursday, The birthday...MK per request of Aunt Donna...Tony's for dinner. DSIS isn't sure about this choice, so we may look on the monorail line for something. We're tied to either resorts or MK for this one, since the Aunts will only have a one day one park pass.
Friday DHS then Epcot, we just went to Epcot about 2 years ago, so we may not want to hit everything here...dinner at Teppan Edo at about 7ish.
Saturday, check out day, do whatever park we wanna!!! No TS planned, since we used up all of our credits on dinner :) I don't think we're gonna rely too much on park hours, when they come out, we MAY take advantage of evening EMH's, but not mornings. DSIS isn't a morning person :sad2: Anyways, off to send DSIS some menus!!!

YAAAAY DSIS Approved the dining plan that I made!! WOOHOO!!!! Plus, she chose Teppan Edo because of the Saki bombs? What the heck are those? If it involves beer, I can't do it, I'll barf!!! So, little update, DSIS got quiet again on the planning....and hasn't made a payment YET!! UG!! But, that's alright, stars are aligning just right, and I should hopefully have it paid off on my own by the middle of may, if not by this weekend.
Also, Aunt Donna, who's been helping quite a bit went in for surgery on the 17th of April, she's doing fine, had reconstruction done from a masectomy from 2 years ago. She also had her other breast removed so she wouldn't have to go thru the cancer thing ever again. She's doing good. Not much else to repot on this trip, just focusing on May right now! :) Once that trip is over, I can push ALL my attention to this trip!! YAAAY!!!

I'm sick and tired of the rain now!! Looked like we were gonna get some yesterday, but didn't. So, we're gonna try to go out in the boat today...for a little bit. Yea, he's next up for the promo on July first tho, IF they make one! He's guaranteed to make it, it's just a matter of when. This way, when he goes to his new spot in Miami, he's already wearing the rank, so he gets the respect of that rank. This is the ONLY rank they "frock" them with, since it's such a huge deal. So, it'll come, just gotta be a bit more patient. I'll have pictures of that ceremony, that's on friday. Then Sunday, TELL MA!! I can't wait!!!! I can see it now....this is her reaction......First, VERY surprised, second, little upset that I spent that $ on her, third, she's gonna hug me until I bleed :lmao: and fourth, she's gonna smack me cause I spent that $ on her!!! We are doing this at a restaurant, so we'll have witnesses. I'm paying off the trip on friday, so she won't have any excuses!!! :) Don't worry, I'll try to get pictures!!

So, my sister, gotta love her...:rolleyes1 I was telling her about our stay in the cabin last week, cause we're staying there in sept also, and gave her some ideas that I had....first one was shampoo and conditioner, told her we should get one big bottle for us all to share, so the mini bottles don't take over the shower...and she said NO!!! :confused3 So, doofus me HAD to ask why....apparently she uses 4 DIFFERENT types of shampoos and conditioners!! :scared1: SO, I said OKAY, YOU get the shampoo, but she can't, she's flying, gotta have the travel stuff. :scared: Then finally I broke down and said FINE!!! So, we told ma on saturday, I only got 2 pictures of her reaction, so bear with me, I was tearing up, and so was she. We went out to dinner, and I MADE her let me buy her dinner, DH asked if that was wise, and I said yea, she won't let me buy nothing else for the rest of the year, so gotta get this one in there :lmao: We're waiting for our table, and I have a yellow folder with all the info in it, Ma decides to ask "what's that" And I tell her SOMEFIN!!! Played gin with DSIS last night on pogo, and talked about the trip, she's getting excited, and has bought her plane ticket!! YAAY!! DBIL got his old job back, so maybe they can start sending me some $$ for this trip, that'll be nice! But, sis said the plan sounds good, Ma doesn't want to change anything, she likes our food choices and all, and since the park hours have come out, they actually MATCH my plan pretty good!!! How'd I manage that? SO, it sounds like things are just perfect!! My Aunt will go down to the base and buy the other tickets, which is fine...my DU lady is making the ADR's for me, which is awesome....so I think we just need to sit back and relax!! Make our breakfast plans. I'll have DSIS for a whole day before we go, so we can get groceries for the cabin and such, so life is good. Alot better then I thought it would be at this point LOL

Found out Dsis comes in at 4:45 that sunday, so we'll have plenty of time to get groceries for breakfast. I have a small list for groceries going already. DU lady is all set to make ADR's...which is nice. Those get made on Wednesday. We're not going after anything too difficult to get, so we should be fine. I went to orlando yesterday looking for some stuff, found a couple of shirts at the disney store, so I'll have to take pictures of them and post them. Ma is still excited, and it was good news to hear dsis is excited too, that kinda shocked me a little. She did say she can have fun in a wet paper sack, which was weird, but okay!! HAHA We have more and more family members coming over for the ma's birthday for one day, so I have to make dinner ressies for like 8 or 9 people!:scared1: But, it'll be fun. We're eating at Tony's. Gotta find a cake now that we'll have a bunch of people to help eat it!! HAHAHA So now to go peruse the cake boards!! Still got a LONG way to go before ordering that! :) Trip is all paid for, except the extra one day tickets, Aunt Donna is getting those, and the MNSSHP tickets. I'm gonna see if Dsis can buy those for us. We'll see how that goes over. All in all, so far so good, not much left to do but get some clothes, and wait out the time....I'm ready!!!

Well....I guess something fell thru with my BIL and his job, so he's now TOTALLY jobless, and DSIS is freaking out! Saying she can't go and stuff. I told her to calm down, it's 3 months away, you already got your plane ticket, and those are usually non refundable...I can get the Aunts to help if we need help with the tips and stuff, but dang, I didn't need this NOW!!! UG!!!! Sometimes, I just wanna shoot her!! The whole trip is paid for, by me....tickets are bought, by ME, the only thing we have left is the MNSSHP tickets, and then tips and stuff. yea, she's fine....quite a bit down, but I think if Mikie doesn't have anything by then, which probably WON'T happen, Ma and Aunt Donna will help. Everything is paid for, except the MNSSHP tickets..which those aren't a big deal, we're going on a very non premium night, so I should be fine getting those later on.

First off, this park ain't no disney...that's for DANG sure!! Second off, they have some rides there that just can't compare. So, we have DSD for a week before Chris leaves for Miami....and I found good deals on universal ap's for the rest of the year, so I said why the heck not?! So, we went, started out in IOA, and went straight to the hulk, didn't have my camera out just yet, then went to spider man, dr doom, etc. Then the water rides. WE GOT SOAKED!! I did have the camera and everything else in a ziploc bag, so nothing got ruined but a park map LOL After that we went towards Jurassic park area, didn't want to ride another water ride, so we ate, and then went down to the discovery center...

After that, I limped over to MIB, we stood in line 50 minutes for that, and then decided to call it a day....we are NOT all day commandos...it was about 4:30 and we got alot done even with the crowds and heat. Getting there early does help!! On our way out I saw the simpsons getting into their van thing, so I took this of marge...

Everything is paid for, except the MNSSHP tickets..which those aren't a big deal, we're going on a very non premium night, so I should be fine getting those later on.

First off, this park ain't no disney...that's for DANG sure!! Second off, they have some rides there that just can't compare. So, we have DSD for a week before Chris leaves for Miami....and I found good deals on universal ap's for the rest of the year, so I said why the heck not?! So, we went, started out in IOA, and went straight to the hulk, didn't have my camera out just yet, then went to spider man, dr doom, etc. Then the water rides. WE GOT SOAKED!! I did have the camera and everything else in a ziploc bag, so nothing got ruined but a park map LOL After that we went towards Jurassic park area, didn't want to ride another water ride, so we ate, and then went down to the discovery center...

we then went and rode jaws, where I got sat on and then kicked in the knee by the lady freaking out next to me, I was PISSED!!! After that, I limped over to MIB, we stood in line 50 minutes for that, and then decided to call it a day....we are NOT all day commandos...it was about 4:30 and we got alot done even with the crowds and heat. Getting there early does help!! On our way out I saw the simpsons getting into their van thing, so I took this of marge...

Thanks Dana, it's a rare type of MD, you as a nurse would know as well as I do how I need to keep moving...but some days it's hard, like today. Feel like I've been run over by a truck!! UG!! The type I have is called FSH, it's mostly upper body, I can't reach above my shoulders at this point, and it does on more extreme cases move into your hips and down into your ankles. I'm not to the extreme YET, I think I'm getting there tho. The aunt I've been mentioning in the wheelchair coming over for just a day has it REAL bad, she just had a heart attack. Mild, and yes, she's okay, but dr's do keep a close eye on my heart. It's not BAD, just a nuisance. Which is why the whole shampoo bottle thing is pissing me off....tub/shower combo places are hard enough for me to get in/out of, let alone with a million bottles in the place!!! But, I'm gonna try not to complain, it's quality time with ma and my sister, that doesn't come around too often, for me anyways. It does with my mom and sister!! Anyways, sorry to talk your head off this morning...everyone is still asleep!! LOL enjoy your day off!!

Little update, I emailed everyone to see what all they liked for drinks, snacks, cereal, etc. So we can have that stuff in the cabin. Well, my DSIS got back to me, and I think I'm sorry she did!! HAHA She only drinks the GOOD stuff, Grey Goose Vodka, Simply Grapefruit juice, smart water, etc. UG!!! So, I thought, okay, not the end of the world....ma still hasn't gotten back to me. So, DSIS's husband DID get his old job back, so he started today, so that's a relief, drama over for now!!
DH is officially a CG Chief Gunnersmate today...he went down to check in to Miami today, and found out that his XO knows me!!! WAAAAY back when I was in the CG, he was a cadet on the ship I was on, and I was teaching him the navigation. NICE!!! I told Chris that I treated the cadets good back then, so hopefully this guy has GOOD memories of me!! HAHA Other then that, not much else going on, 76 more days!!!! YAAAY!!!!

Yep, I've been reading all the horror stories on the restaurant boards, and luckily they all seem to have issues with the last week, glad we're going the week we're going, not hearing too much about that week!! I can't wait!! If only my sister were to get excited again. She probably will, since Mikey's working again.

70 DAYS!!! Getting closer!!! I was playing gin with my sister last night, and she said she was starting to get excited about the trip again. So, she's getting there. I got the shopping list done, and gonna start getting things slowly at the 2 month mark here pretty soon. Stuff I can get, water, sodas, cereal, snacks. I'm going up to my mom's this weekend, so she can have Chris clean the gutters before he leaves, so we're gonna compare notes and make sure everyone is up to speed with everything, and show them the tshirt patterns I have picked out. So should be fun! I'll keep ya'll posted, but I'm just glad DSIS is excited again. I knew it would happen soon!!

Hey Pam!! Yea, I was looking at my planning book at work yesterday, and I'm at a stand still. there's nothing else I wanna add or take away at this point, guess I better start making shirts! Well, I was in the ER for about 7 hours the other night...:sick: had signs of appendicitis. They did bunches of tests, and figured out that I have a calcium deposit on my appendix. They also told me this will lead to my appendix going...so, now I live with off and on jabbing pain in my right lower side, I didn't get much sleep, AND managed to go to work yesterday. SO, for now, I'm alright, I just hope if it has to be taken out, please take it out BEFORE my disney trip!! LOL It's gonna be hard with Chris gone, but I have 2 moms that will be chomping at the bit to come help me....so I'll be alright if it comes down to it! Anyways, off to work, Thank GOD it's friday!! I hate it when ERs do that crap. If they think it is your appendix they need to just take it out. Calcium deposits in the kidneys would be kidney stones, but I have never heard of appendix stones, but if I remember correctly you can get calcium deposits anywhere. I hope you find out something Thursday.

I love all of your new clothes. I have got a few new things, but not much. I have bought me a couple of skorts because I really like how comfortable they are. I also bought 2 shirts at Walmart on clearance Saturday.

Not sure if I said earlier, I was at my mom's on saturday, talking about everything I've got together at this point, talking about making t shirts for them, I wanted to make ma one for the halloween party, and I found a pattern that's a pink ribbon for cancer, with mickey ears. Well, I KNEW my Aunt Donna would want one of those, she just went thru breast cancer not 2 years ago, so I told them about that, then my mom pipes up and says SHE wants a ribbon too!! Nice huh? Makes me feel good that they're FINALLY interested in that, only been trying to get them to tell me sizes and stuff for the past 2 months!! Ah well, it's coming together now!! JUST about to the 60 day point, and I'm happy about that. Now come next month, I'm REALLY gonna be :banana: :cheer2: LOL I was looking at the sales in Publix yesterday too, nothing we really need is on sale right now...bummer!! Ah well. I'll find SOMETHING!! LOL Or go to BJ's and get it there! :) Well, off to work I go, another day, another dollar!!!!

Things went well, the most pain I've had was from the gas they fill you up with, and it was more uncomfortable then anything else. I'm fine now, just can't sleep!! I didn't want to take my sleeping pill last night and risk hurting myself, plus I'm in our spare bedroom so I don't disturb DH or we don't bump into each other. He was supposed to leave Sunday for Miami, but got it pushed back to Tuesday late I believe. I'm gonna see if he can shoot for Wednesday morning, I have a friend coming up from the keys to orlando next week, and we wanted to hit universal, so I'm gonna attempt it, maybe tuesday or wednesday. If DH can leave on wednesday, then we'll shoot for tuesday, so we'll see. I'll talk to him later today about it! :)

Dale went in the hospital Wednesday and had to have a heart cath on Thursday because he has been having chest pains. Thank God it came out normal, but we still don't know why he is having chest pains and getting dizzy. He has to go to the sleep lab in August so I hope that makes a difference. How have you been? Thanks girl !! I am so glad you are doing good. Did the doctor give you the release you needed to go back to work? I guess they got Dale's because he has worked all week. I don't know if I have been as scared in my life as I was when they said heart cath. I just hope all this stress lifts off all of us soon. This month started off great, but hasn't went the best. It has been a LONG month.

Dang I can't believe school is starting back already. The kids just don't get enough time out anymore. I hope you can come over the weekend we are at Disney, it would be great to just meet up. Even if you don't have a day left on a ticket we can meet up at DTD or a resort and have lunch or just a coke. I know what you mean about not having anything else to plan. He won't have to go to NC, but they'll probably deploy him the end of the month, which is fine, we'll get his sea pay the day we leave for disney, that's like $400 more!! WOOHOO!!! Thanks!! I've been doing this deploying stuff for over 12 years, so it gets easier after a while. Plus, his pay goes up, so I'm definedly looking forward to that!! :) Shopping went good, Tyler is all ready to go with clothes and supplies, attitude is a different story LOL He of course doesn't wanna go back, but I keep telling him he's GOTTA, it's the law!! HAHA I did get our shirts done, took pictures, just gotta upload them, so maybe I'll get to that later. I'm just TIRED. Thanks!! I've been doing this deploying stuff for over 12 years, so it gets easier after a while. Plus, his pay goes up, so I'm definedly looking forward to that!! :) Shopping went good, Tyler is all ready to go with clothes and supplies, attitude is a different story LOL He of course doesn't wanna go back, but I keep telling him he's GOTTA, it's the law!! Still not too much in reactions from my mom, I guess I give up looking for something out of her....and am putting the ball in her court. Ok I want to see pix of the bathing suit. I have Amanda's from a couple of years ago because I don't like buying them either. I did find one on disneystore.com it was really cute, but I don't want to order one. A lot of times I will wear my shorts or a t-shirt over my bathing suit when I go in the water :sad2:. I know that is silly. When I was really skinny I would wear a bikini and not even blink. Now I just want to cover up :lmao:.

So, got ma's approval on the days, not sure when the last time I updated was, but this should be the final one!

Day one, Ma's gonna meet at my house, we'll leave here at about 10:30 in the morning, hit the bank to get $$, and then off we go! We should get there around noonish, maybe a little before, or a little later, depending on traffic, and how long I chat at the bank! :rolleyes1 Check into the cabin, get situated, let ma take a nap...maybe Tyler and I will visit the pool!! So, we're gonna leave the cabin at about 4ish, head down to the boats, and head over to the Poly, we have a 5:05 ressie at Ohana before the halloween party. Once done with dinner, head over to MK, and partake in MNSSHP! :banana: I think when we get in the park, I'm gonna go towards adventure land/frontier land.....hit some good rides, see the fireworks, and I wanna see the 2nd parade. See as much as we can! So that's day one in a nutshell...I'll update day 2 later.

Alright, this is making me feel better, so here goes. Day 2 LOL

This day is AK day, we'll get up and get to the park HOPEFULLY by 10, depends on how late we stay out the night before on that one. The things I want ma and Sis to see are, EE, Kali, Safari, ITTBAB, Dino, FOLK and NEMO shows, anything else at this park would just be gravy. Ma and Tina have never been there before, so it should be nice for them. Dinner this night is at Whispering Canyon, at 6:45....so we can get back to the cabin and get some rest for day 3....I can't wait for this day, since it's something Tina and ma haven't done before. I think for lunch we're gonna eat at Restaurantosaurus, they have good burgers with the fixins bar, and I LOVE the mushrooms on my burger LOL I'm trying NOT to have burgers everyday for lunch....so this will be the only time.

So, that's day 2, I have the spare room all set up and clean for Tina, she's HIGHLY allergic to stuff, so I moved the bed, and cleaned the pet hair from underneath, and dusted the crap outta this room. Hopefully it'll be alright for her. So, things are going forward, and i'm MOSTLY ready, starting packing things in the suitcase this morning, so it's starting to feel more real! I also got my mickey mail friday!! :woohoo: That also makes it feel more real. So, 24 days!! I can almost taste the mickey bars!!!

I buy the halloween party tickets on monday when I get paid, so that's the last thing besides the last little bit of shopping to do! Not much else to do but wait. Thanks dude....don't like that "alone" feeling, weird since I'm a miltary wife I know!! I DID hear from ma today....FINALLY!!! Thank god, I was starting to get a complex!! She wants me to come up and have dinner with them Saturday, for Aunt Ju's birthday, which is on the first, and Aunt Donna is going in for surgery on monday, they always have a big meal before someone's surgery. She's excited, AND she's bringing a bathing suit!! Glad she wants to use the pool too, that'll be REALLY nice to have her swim with us!! IF we can swim, last time we couldn't. SO, I feel better having talked with her, and was talking to her for a while.

You are right, thanks for reminding me. Now that Dale is eating better and I have been dieting forever we really don't need any extra hanging around. Dallas is so picky anyway he would only want a chocolate cake. His birthday is Wednesday so I will get him a cake for that. I finally figured out where to meet my Aunts when they come, we have my Aunt Donna, who is going thru her breast reconstruction after her double masectomy tomorrow :scared1: so she'll be a little sore...my Aunt Judi, who's in a wheel chair cause she has the MD really bad, she's fun! My Great Aunt Sally, who's like 77, and will be walking!! And POSSIBLY my cousin Tracey joining us. I really hope my cousin can join us, she will if she can't find a job! We're gonna meet them by the resort launch a little after 9 in the morning. I figured that's a good place in case they take the ferry or the monorail over. So, first order of business, getting ma's birthday gift card, it's her 58th birthday on this day....and she really isn't looking forward to all the attention, was telling her about that yesterday, she gave me that evil mom look!! :lmao: So, we're gonna do as much as we can fit in, since we have extra visitors this day. I think i'm gonna do the usual, and start in fantasyland, and go from there. I want to eat at Columbia Harbor House for lunch, all my times at MK, I haven't eaten there!! So, instead of burgers and such, I'm mixing lunches around. Plus, with my family big seafood eaters, they may like the fish.

Dinner is at Tony's, and since ma doesn't want the extra attention, we decided against a cake. Which is fine, she's gonna be at her limit by the time dinner comes LOL Dinner is at 7:15. So....do as much as possible, and enjoy the aunts and HOPEFULLY the cousin....even tho she's the same age as my sister, I'm the youngun of the bunch, so I'll get picked on, but that's alright. I'm used to it with them 2.

On another note, my sister said she was gonna fart in my face while I was sleeping!! :headache: do they make nose plugs for sleeping?? HAHA I told her I was gonna sleep with my face against the wall!! So, the mudslinging is started, which is good, I like that. Day 3 sounds like fun :thumbsup2. We have eaten at Columbia Harbor House several times. I saw that they are now serving fried shrimp too. The fish is good and the chicken isn't bad. I love Tony's!!! I wanted to eat there this trip, but they didn't have a time slot for the days or times we wanted.

So...things are coming together nicely! :) Thanks for all being here with me, I'm trying to figure out of my sister is bringing her laptop, if she does, we may connect in the cabin, if we don't need to rent that stupid modem, some people say we need it, others say we just need an ethernet cable...so I'm confused on that. :confused3 so IF we can connect, then I'll post from there, I hope we can, cause email is my only link to Chris.....I miss him!! He will be back for us to take a one day trip in october for his daughter's birthday....not sure i'm gonna do a PTR for that, no planning involved, but I will do a regular trip report....and guess what?? My step mom wants to go back with EVERYONE next year in september. It'll be my baby twin brother's 30th birthday next year....so hopefully they have the military special again! PLEASE!! :littleangel: For that we will have a grand gathering, and will need 3 cabins, that side of the family is big :) Something to look forward to, I won't stress that trip too much, but I will plan, plan, plan!! :) For that many people, I will need to....oh Marla!!! (my DU lady!) I will definedly use her again! :) ANyways, done rambling for now, back to cleaning my room. :headache:

I am at 20 days today. I have been feeling kinda gray today. The weather here is blah so I guess that has a lot to do with it. I have 8 more work days but they are spread out over 3 weeks. I have Dallas packed, except for undies, and I have all my clothes packed. The only thing I have packed for Dale is his swim trunks. I have promised Dallas we WILL go swimming this trip. I think that is what we are gonna do when we get there on Saturday. We have an ADR at Plaza at 7pm so we will have plenty of time to spend at the pool. I have internet with my cell so I will take my computer and link it up while we are there. At Disney it is $10 a day and with my phone it is only $30 a month.

I can't wait to hear about your sister getting to town :surfweb:.

She used a sharpie. Simple as that! I found orange polish, and thought that would be enough, cause I'm not artsy like that!! But, they turned out great, I love it!! :) ONE more week!!!! YAAAAY

Thanks Leanne!! I hope Tigger likes them!! LOL If he can even see them!!!! I'm almost done packing...almost got the house perfect, scrubbing bathrooms saturday....and I STILL gotta sew uniforms!! Chris got 4 new sets right before he left....and I haven't had time yet!! AHHH!!! HE comes home in about 4 weeks....better get moving LOL I'll have plenty of time after Disney. He sent me a REALLY good picture of him, should upload it and post it!
