I have a question regarding the rules for children of age 3. We are going to be picked up by Tiffany Town Car and will be requesting a booster, so getting to and from the parks are no big deal. However, we are contemplating an attempt to leave our dd with the kinder care on site for a day, and would have to take a cab from the resort to the daycare facility. We will not have a car seat with us. Will this be a problem?

Legally, your child does NOT have to be restrained in a carseat while using public transportation. This is why young children can ride public buses, trolleys, and shuttles without being in a carseat. Taxis are also considered public transportation.

Now, it could possibly be a safety problem if the taxis had to break hard or was involved in an accident. Only you can decide if you are comfortable taking the risk with your child.

Would it be possible, if inconvenient, to take your own carseat? I have no idea if a taxi company might provide a seat if you called ahead. Does anyone know?
