AP Purchase on line

If I buy my AP's on line are they effective the date I buy them or the 1st day I use them? I want to buy them prior to leaving so I can get Disney dollars for them however I don't want them to be effect when I buy them.

When you pre-purchase online, you either select will call or pay to have an exchange voucher mailed to you. You then go to any Guest Services location and get your actual AP. Your time begins when you exchange for it.

As mentioned what you are buying online are AP vouchers, not the actual APs. You can either have the vouchers mailed to you or pick them up at Guest Services.

The vouchers have no expiration date so they are a great way to protect against future price increases. There have been reports of people redeeming vouchers 5 years after they purchased them. The AP start date would be the day you redeem the voucher for the actual AP and is good for 366 days from that date (the AP is good through the end of the expiration day)

Also, if you pay to have the exchange voucher mailed, you will be able to use the code on the back to access the passholder website.
