Yes, from the marina area it is a 20 or so minute walk.

There is also a boat that will take you back and forth.

It's also a nice bike ride if you have bikes with you. Paved trail all the way.

we've walked over for dinner there w/o a problem. It's a good place for a meal if you have kids.

Can you take the golf cart? We are renting one and are thinking about using the Wilderness pool since Ft.'s is closed still.

You can... you're not supposed to, but you'd hardly be the first! LOL

It's almost a mile one-way from the Pioneer Hall area; If you go to WL for dinner, you might want to walk if you get dessert! :lmao:

I wouldn't, you're not suppose to and there is no designated place to park a GC there.

So...if one was interested in doing this, what is the bet way to get there, stealth like, in our golf cart. Is there a discreet place to park? We are Fort 1st timers so you will probably need to explain it to me like I am a 4 year old :) .

Or just get on the bus that goes between WL and the Campground

...or you could swim there in the lake! LOL No, don't do that or cart. Bike or walk on the exercise trail (lovely, 1 mile), take the boat, take the bus, or drive; those are the legitimate means of getting there (listed in order of enjoyment, IMO).

Stay outta the damn lake!

It is a beautiful and enjoyable walk. :goodvibes

Another nice thing about the trail is the wildlife. More times than not, we have seen deer grazing along the trail. If you're fast, you might save some money and catch your own dinner!
