HELP!!!

I bought this dress this weekend and am not 100% about it. I stole this picture from the website, will you let me know what you think?

Thanks!:worship: :worship: :worship:

Ok I'm gong to be honest. The frou frou around the neckline does nothing for me. The dress other than that is cute and could be really dressed up with really nice sandals or pumps and some great jewelry. Or you can use it as a casual dress with just plain sandals. But the neckline is killing me.

I really like the skirt line, but I find the top part too busy. Be careful if you're a busty lady, that dress will enhance that.

I didn't want to be the first one to say anything. :lmao:

I'm kind of with Pixierella on this one. There's something about the mixture of the pattern and cut around the neckline and the arms that feels a little "country" to me. :guilty: No offense.

I have to say, that it could go either way. It could be really cute on you, or it could make you look frumpy.

I'd have to see it on you to say whether or not it's flattering on your body.

True. Plus, the pattern and color (or lack thereof) don't really compliment the model's skintone very well.....which is probably weighing a bit heavily on my opinion of the dress. :confused3 (She'd look great in colors like purple or magenta.)

Oh boy.......hold me back! I'm gaying out!! :rotfl2:

I think the people who've already posted said good things.

The colours really don't suit the model, so, we'd need a comparison next to your skin-tone to be sure. But, most of what looks good on me doesn't look good on models, so, I figure that's not much of a test.

Sadly, my basic response was...ugh, a dress! (I don't like the things very much.)

Your right. This thread about Jenn's dress isn't the place to lose your decency. We should go over to KingLouie's virtual shower for THAT!

I LOVE honest! I am/was planning on wearing some strappy sandals and possibly even a little white sweater since I was thinking about this for Easter...

I really like the skirt line, but I find the top part too busy. Be careful if you're a busty lady, that dress will enhance that.

I am certainly busty, don't know about the lady part... :lmao:

See, if you lived up here in the heavily Portuguese Northeast, you would say that it looked very old Portuguese grandma-like... that is one of my concerns...

I have to say, that it could go either way. It could be really cute on you, or it could make you look frumpy.

You gonna make me model it? :scared1:

Gay out all you like...

I do have a very fair skintone... Casper like sometimes - when I don't have the time to jump into mom's tanning salon...

Not the biggest fan of dresses myself... but, for Easter.... plus sometimes I go through phases because they are so easy... no matching required... dress, shoes, go!

Now, now monorailman, no deceny allowed on this here thread...or board for that matter....

You totally made me snarf Dr Pepper while reading "gaying out"

I say you have to model it for us. You could be pretty white but have the right hair color for it. Try it on. Show us. If you post your picture I'll post one of mine. I bet you a million bucks you look a hellava lot better in dress than I do.

I think a sweater is going to make it look weird because of that ruffle.

I will tell you, I am ghastly pale, and I just don't look that good in black. So for me, the dress is just sort of, eh, not my favorite.

 I'm planning to wear jeans and a slightly nicer (than usual) t-shirt for Easter. My DW might talk me into black corduroys on Good Friday at her family gathering, but, I think that lately I've talked her down to jeans instead.

I just can't get around the idea that God would care if I'm dressed up.

Forget the dress...go naked!

See, my theology would suggest that this is acceptable, so, anything beyond it is done for those around me and I'm just not willing to wear a dress for them.

(Granted, it usually happens about once every 2-3 years.)

I certainly don't think that God cares, she has better things to think about. :cutie:

Is it too late to comment?

First, I think you are wicked brave. ::yes::

Second... :( I think the dress looks frumpy and like something my grandmother would have worn (with the neckline filled in by a scarf) :confused3

I promise you that you can find something much more Easter Sundayish than that.

I really hope I haven't offended. :( :( :guilty:

The pattern puts me off - it's a bit 'busy' for my taste but that could just be the picture. And I agree with others that it doesn't go well with the model's skin tone. But on the other hand it might be cute on someone with dark hair & with a kicky pair of pumps. Hmm ... I guess I'm no help at all!

Just follow Rosie's lead and go naked!

Thanks for all your posts. You guys are the bestest evah (that's ever in Massachusetts speak... no "R"'s allowed).

I didn't get a chance to take that picture last night... but will try tonight. I have a neighborhood association meeting tonight that might run late, so we shall see...
