Wilderness Lodge - when does the Xmas tree come down?

We may be staying at WL Jan 6-9 and I'm wondering whether the Christmas Tree will still be up, or whether it will be long gone?

Tough to say. The decorations start to come down during the first week or so of January. January 6 is Monday so they may have it down to start the first full week "Christmas-fee". You may get lucky and find it's still there at least for the start of your trip.

We checked in on Jan. 6th, this year, and the trimmings were definately up. Unfortunately, our pictures of the big tree in the lobby did not come out. We just love the WL!

We split our stay at AKL and the Poly on Jan.5-11 this year. The decorations were still up when we checked out of AKL on the 7th, and were up for the length of our stay at the Poly. We also were able to see the decorations at GF, CR, and YC. Oh, and some decorations were still up in the parks, as well. It was a real surprise and treat for us.

When we were there in 2001 they came down the night of January 4th, if I remember correctly.
