I have a couple of questions about check-in days:
Do we get our room assignments and get to actually move in to our apartments on our designated check-in days?
Also, does anyone have the addresses of the apartment buildings?
This is my first time doing the college program, so I have a lot of questions, lol. Thanks! :goodvibes

Yup! You move in on check-in day. They'll ask you what complex you wanna live in but the earlier you get there, the more of a selection you'll have.
I don't know the address of the other complexes, but my building in Patterson is 8115 Patterson Woods Dr.

Vista Way
13501 Meadow Creek Drive
Orlando, FL 32821 <-----may be wrong zip code.
I lived in Chatham my second program...but can't remember the address. Each building has a separate address at Chatham (and Patterson too I believe), but the Vista address is for the whole complex.

How do you like living in Patterson? It looks beautiful from what I've seen, and I really want to live there!

Oh it's amazing! I wouldn't wanna live anywhere else. It's nice and quiet and, as you said, it is beautiful!

I was wondering about this myself, I know we want to get there early I am hoping for Vista Way. I saw it said around 9 in the morning is the time they start, I am the type of person who always arrives 30 minutes early to things...do you think there will already be a line waiting to start about that time? I mean I know we can not check it before 9. I just heard the earlier you get there the better a chance you have of getting your choice.

We got there at 8:15 and the parking lot was already almost full and the line was pretty long.

Patterson is nice. But the transportation stinks (the buses don't stop at Patterson).

You can get in at 8am. I've been able to start at 8 each time.

Ok....so what all happens on "check in day" and the following day too?:confused3 Like I know you check in and do paperwork and stuff, then what? Do you have to work the next day? Or are you still getting settled at the time? Thanks!:goodvibes

Day 1- Check in, getting housing complex, paperwork, housing ID, housing meeting
Day 2- find out work location, sign up for classes (if you take any), more paperwork
You don't start working until after Traditions (Day 3). Training usually starts around Day 4-6.

On Day 1 you get into a GIANT line. In this line you will do the following:
Read and sign housing guidelines.
Get your apartment assignment.
Verfiy your Payroll info.
Get checked for the Disney look (not dress, but tatoos, hair color, facial hair, etc.)
Get your photo ID.
Background check.
Then you sign up for your Day 2 time and get assigned a housing meeting.
Later that afternoon (typically) will be your housing meeting.
You'll come in at an assigned time on Day 2 in which you get into another line and do the following:
I-9 documents
Work location information
Education Course Registration
New Hire Paperwork
Generally traditions will be your day 3, but that can vary.
