Congratulations:cool1:
I did the shareholders club application online and then emailed them the contract thingy from selftrade. For some reason I couldn't print the application form and although it says you need to sign it and send it in they accepted mine without a signature:confused3
Try filling in the form online and then ring them, tell them you can't get it to print, will they accept it as it is if you email the contract? Tell them you're going this weekend and ask them to send you the temporary card...they sent me a temporary one very quickly even tho' I hadn't asked for it.
Might be worth a shot ....at least you'll be able to flash your card next week;) :lmao:

I've heard of other people having the temp certificate waiting for them at city hall. If you phone the shareholders club office up they are very helpful :)

I've just joined you as an (almost) shareholder Cap'n - yet another Disney disease I've caught off these boards :rotfl2: .
With the share prices they are at the moment, I just reckoned it would be incredibly rude not to buy :goodvibes . And the price even came down from the time I started giving it serious thought (all of 3 hours ago), to the time I clicked that "buy" button. See, its an omen I tell ya!
I'll see your woop, and add another :cheer2: :cheer2: !

Its easy - I've taken less than 30 minutes total, and thats including registration, setting up the dealing account, and then buying the shares. Go for it - you know you want to :goodvibes
Oooer I've gone all giddy :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I could cry and its all my own fault!!!!
I am "weird" in that I do not like completing forms etc via the internet. I requested a selftrade form which I did not receive. Rang and told to take off the DEALING ACCOUNT form.
The trouble is then when completing the form I need to send copy of bank statement the payment is coming from. This account does not have debit card just cash point so can only pay by cheque (over counter at bank).
I need advice please :-
1. Is the dealing account form the correct one to complete?
2. When send back, give few days and check all set up. If so how do I go about buying if paying by cheque? I cant send a cheque until I know how much it is going to cost!!!
3. Does anyone know what the share value is at today?
HELP I really want to buy and getting myself in a right old tizz now.

Mine was a straightforward debit from my current account to my selftrade dealing account, so I can't help you with anything much - except to say that £60 covered buying 20 shares and Selftrades fee today (I bought at 2.56 euros per share) :goodvibes :goodvibes .
ps - just checked Selftrade, and they are currently 2.55 euros per share.
Congrats Cap'n. This share thing seems to be spreading like a virus, but it is all so exciting.
When I bought mine I put £100 in the selftrade account and then just said I would have 30. A small balance has been left on the self trade account, but who knows I might buy some more later. The balance can sit there until it is needed so don't worry about having the transfer the exact amount as the price fluctuates all the time.
Good luck. I would get the cheque sent off pronto and then as soon as the funds clear you can get cracking.
Good luck:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

Can I just ask you said straightforward debit from current account to selftrade dealing account ............... did you already have a selftrade dealing account set up? If not if you set up on line which form did you fill in.
I REALLY AM SORRY TO BE A NUISANCE

No problem, you're not being a nuisance at all.
I read the "getting started" bit on the selftrade site, answered the questions in there about what kind of account I wanted with them, and it suggested the dealing account.
Then I completed all the information online for the dealing account, and when that was set up, and I'd got my log-ins etc (this is all done while you're registering the account) I did a visa debit from my current account to my selftrade account.
Then I searched on selftrade for "euro disney" shares, and like cookie said earlier, the French ones pop up first in the list. Click on the little "trade button" at the side, and away you go - you're a shareholder :goodvibes .
I set up the account on line but then made the phone call after that and spoke to someone who took the card details and how many I wanted. Lovely chap, very helpful and didn't make me feel stupid, as I was a bit of a dither.

Thank you and also Roon for your info.
The only reason I was not going to pay from my usual bank account is that I did not fancy sending my whole list of outgoings/incomings bank statement to them. The one with no debit card is an old bank account that just had statement on with just the very small balance on it!
I am driving my poor hubby mad!!!
I know its just me being silly !!!!!:sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:
I know what you mean it really is a worry sending such personal information through the post to somewhere you don' know, but just shut your eyes and send it. Mine was back within a few days and it would very much appear to be a legitimate company. It also seems to be the only place to get them with them being from the Paris stock market.
I can just imagine all of us sitting in Salon Mickey still talking about Selftrade.
Good luck Eeyore

Thank you Roon and Elaine :thanks:
Roon - did not think of doing that - completing form tomorrow, sending to self trade to be set up with copy of my bank statement (the small unused one) and getting a cheque from the bank made out to self trade who can deposit into my new account. I can then just ring up and ask them to pay for the shares when the cheque has cleared OR just use my normal bank account and hope all is ok.
Sometimes I really get myself into a right old tizz!!!! I think its because its a case of the unknown and I do not like the unknown :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
