Anyone here now thinking of extending? Have you heard any rumors about when those apps will be available? I know they had a record number of "extendees" from last semester, so I'm wondering how competitive it will be, esp in light of the number of people getting turned down for Fall so early in the interviewing season...
If you are thinking of extending, same role or different one?
I've got applications in for some PIs, but I'm not very hopeful about them. Gut feelings and all. 2 of them prefer undergrads and I'm a grad student, the 3rd prefers a particular major that mine isn't. I know I'd be awesome in any of them (and my leaders all agree), but I also know they are obscenely competitive this semester, so I'm making plans...
I haven't decided yet if I'd extend or just try to go seasonal at this point (unless they'd care to offer me something full time ;) ). If I do extend, I want out of merch and into (maybe) hospitality. Not that I mind merch, but I've done it ALL my life and would like to try something different for a new perspective.
