DVC Merchandise Sale

Just back from 3 nights at OKW. On Monday, all the merchandise that had the 'DVC logo' on it went on sale at 30-45% off. Shirts, jackets, hats, etc. This was also true at BWV. Possible new logo coming on these items?

The other possibility is that the merchandise has not sold well and perhaps they're discontinuing the line. The fact that everything was marked down doesn't bode well for line IMHP. I hope this is not the case, but based on similar patterns at other Disney retail outlets it is a certainly distinct possibility.

Thank you so much for sharing this information! I have had my eye on the white men's DVC jacket, which I think originally retailed for $150.00. I always thought it would look great on my Dad.

I just called WDW Merchandise (407-363-6200), and the jacket has been reduced to $74.99! I just ordered one and will give it to Dad for Father's Day! FedEx 4-7 day shipping was $20.95, so the total came to $95.94.

Mom & Dad aren't DVC members...yet ;). But I'm planning to bring them with us next year. I can't wait for them to experience DVC accommodations. Now Dad will have a great jacket to wear, too!

Not sure what everyone else thought of the clothing, but I wasn't really a big fan of it. I liked the jacket, but the T-shirt with the giant screened on logo was a little too much. How about a small embroidered logo, or some other colors??

I'd love to see some other options and would definitely be interested in purchasing some merchandise!

The VWL logo merchandise is half price too. We picked up a polo shirt, cap and pen for less than the shirt would have cost :) We were at OKW 5/18-23, and the stuff was all full price. When we arrived at VWL on 5/26, it was half price. Sure wish I'd thought to check back at Conch Flats!

We also bought VWL merchandise at the Wilderness Lodge for 1/2 price on 5/27. I asked the sales person if they were going to drop the DVC clothing and she said no, they were just clearing out some stuff they had had for awhile to make room for some new stuff. I wonder if the logo has been changed?? The prices are great, we picked up 2 golf shirts and 4 t-shirts $90!

Was at the Beach Club yesterday morning and picked up 2 Vacation Club Golf shirts for $50 they were originally $48 a piece. They did not have a wide selection just white, but with my history of spilling everything I eat I figured I needed 2 white shirts.

Figures, I paid $52.00 for a polo shirt at VB the first week in May. We go to BWV in Nov,doubt anything will be left.

Slow down this buying spree. We don't check in at BWV until Sunday afternoon. I hope there's still some stock left. I'm willing to purchase one of those white polo shirts, but not at the original price. I usually wear darker polos, but white is a good choice in the Florida sunshine and heat.

On Monday, all that was left at OKW of the white polo shirts were S's and XL's - I bought the last Medium. :)

Thanks for the tip. I just got off the phone with merchandising. I ordered 4 t-shirts, 2 polos, 2 towels and a bathrobe. It came to $165 delivered. Not a bad bargain......spruce

Thank you all so much for the info!!! I just got off the phone with WDW Merchandising!! The CM did not know of any DVC items on sale, but poked around a bit and struck gold.

Here is what I ordered, and hopefully can anyone give any descriptions???!!?? They did not have descriptions in the system, but if it has DVC and on sale then I am happy enough!!

I got DH the BWV Member Polo (she said it was Navy with a yellow BWV logo because she called Dundry's Sundries) a medium for $29.99


A DVC Member T Shirt, not sure what color...a large for $9.99

A DVC WLV T Shirt, again, not sure what color...large $9.99

I just called and almost every DVC clothing item was sold out & discontinued. The only DVC clothing left (other than size XXL) was a hooded T-shirt (XL).

I wish I read this thread last week. :(

I bought a t-shirt and towel at BW last Monday. There were also DVC coffee mugs for $4.99 and DVC beer steins and shot glasses. I think they were the same price, but wasn't that interested, so I'm not positive.
I know I cleaned the shelf off all but one coffee mug. They were the etched glass ones and very nice.
The sales woman said that they were getting in new merchandise.

I just got off the phone with WDW Merchandising and this girl says I can't buy any sale merchandise through them! I know this is total BS because obviously some of you have been able to do it! In fact, she claims the only DVC merchandise they can sell are the towel, the backpack and something I can't remember through my red haze. I know personally that that's not true because I spoke with a very nice lady some months back and was able to purchase several things not on her list!!

I even called right back in the hopes that I would get a different person, no luck.

In desperation I gave her a list of what I would like and she said she'd look into it for me. I won't hold my breath.

I think the reason that you cannot by DVC merchandise from WDW Merchandising is because everything is practically sold out!

I called yesterday looking for a DVC polo shirt in XXL for my husband. From reading other posts it seemed as if that was all that would be left anyway. Sure enough, when she looked for the shirt the system told her there was one left. However, when she went to place the order, the computer then stated that the item was unavailable. She went further to search for all shirts that had a DVC logo and the same thing would happen -- it would be unavailable when she tried to order it. She did note that the system did say the items were listed as discontinued, but also stated that she had never been unable to order a discontinued item if it were in stock.

I suppose we just missed the opportunity to take advantage of these great sale prices.

I only WISH this girl would have searched for me! She wouldn't even go that far! I was more interested in coffee mugs, hats, things like that, which are less likely to be sold out

DVCajun, if it makes you feel any better, when I last looked on Friday morning, there was very little sale merchandise left. I was told it went on sale the morning of the day that we checked in, Sunday the 26th. I bought a couple of the purple t-shirts and the tote bag. By the end of the week, there were was very little left. I remember Beach towels, and a few other odds and ends, but not much stuff at all. I don't remember seeing any mugs at OKW, maybe wrong as it wasn't what I was interested in. Not all of the DVC merchandise was marked down when we were there.

Anyway, I am sure there is almost nothing left at all by now. If I had realized how seldom this stuff went on sale, I would have e-mailed and picked up what you would have wanted. Sorry.

Maybe if they did not have the Merchandise so overpriced it would sell better. For Example, the white Jacket did not cost Disney more than $40 (more like $30) --- you do the math!

I'm just glad I got my white DVC Tshirt last June--now if I can just continue to keep it clean!
I would have liked something with VWL on it though--hope more is there in July!

Robin - did you call the regular number for wdw merchandise - I both called and emailed and got the same answer - only merchandise with DVC is backpack, luggage tags, and I forget the other item, oh well. I was also hoping to get a jacket but no luck here.
