When we were at Disney last December we were at one of the parks (can't remember which) and saw people scuba diving in one of the aquariums. I was wondering how and where to find out about that. My husband is a certified diver and he would LOVE to do that - he was watching the others doing it and had the most envious look on his face because they were in the tank with sharks.:scared1:
I was talking with a woman there whose daughter was doing it and she said you could book a slot to do it. I did not think to ask her about it.
We are planning another trip for 2010 and I would love to book him a dive and surprise him with it.
Thanks everyone!:thumbsup2

I also found this website - epcotdivequest.com It states it is $175 per person and they provide all the equipment but you have to make a reservation to do it. It lasts about three hours with 45 minutes in the water. It was pretty cool when we were there last time - DH was so envious.
Does your dive certification ever expire? He was certified years ago (PADI I think) but it's been 10+ years since his last dive - do you just have to renew a membership or something. I want to make sure I have all bases covered before the trip because this will be a surprise.
Thanks everyone!

My husband did this back in June 2007. I think it was $175. He said it was worth every penny. You do have to be scuba certified and they check your certification when you check in. It did last about 3 hours with about an hour in the aquarium. We were able to watch everyone swimming around and they had a camera man recording interaction with your family at the aquarium glass. He got a DVD of the experience and a t-shirt that says Epcot DiveQuest. They give you a choice between the t-shirt or a mask strap. :thumbsup2
