This site seems to say the current water surface temps are 83, sounds toasty to me.

When is the Goofy Pool meet? Also, it sounds like many of you may do Sea World on Sunday, but we are doing Gatorland, if anyone's interested. Our flight home is in the late afternoon. I'm hoping we get off the ship early, head to Gatorland and then maybe to Downtown Disney before the airport.

DCL Rookie - My boys loved the Pirate Museum when they were 4 and 6 (they would still like it now). It's a nice walk, though it might be a little long for your 3.5 yr old in the sun.

Welcome SylviaL!!! The meet is at 3pm by the Goofy Pool on the first day (12th). See you onboard!

I'll answer for Lynn! :rotfl:

You can do the FE gift exchange any time you wish during the cruise.

Everyone, please make sure to put your FE out as soon as you can on the first day. You may want to carry it along in your day bag so you can put it out as soon as you get to your room - goodies start appearing as soon as it's placed outside your door! :thumbsup2

That sounds great to me!

Just found out that DS 17 will need to have ultrasound guided biopsies on Friday 11/13. Thank God for grandparents that are so supportive (and the internet cafe on the ship)!

Hey Everyone! So excited for next Thursday I can hardly do any work this week!

My question that I have is does anyone know if the cellular services that is on the cruise ship allows for data services? I have a Blackberry with unlimited international and domestic data services, and was told by sprint that as long as the ship's cellular network has data services I will be covered under the international data services and won't pay for the usage. Also with the cell services is it $2.49/min from disney and then $2.49 from my provider as well? I think that's double dipping isn't it.

Well can't wait any longer!

Not sure about data services. However, it is not double dipping. Basically you are "roaming" on Disney's network. Normally on land, Sprint pays a roaming fee to another carrier if you are on their tower (i.e. Verizon or TMobile) but Sprint has no such agreement with Disney's service so you have to pay for your usage of Disney's cellular network and then the international Sprint voice rates.

Hey Gang!

We have been out of town for a few days.

Wanted to post and see if others hosting DCL House Parties got their boxes. Mine came yesterday, looks like lots of nice goodies :)

Wishing everyone who is traveling soon a great trip and fun on their first part of the vacation.

Haven't thought about packing or anything, hoping to start this weekend.

Lots to do between now and then, all kinds of kid stuff going on....

MVMCP is a lot of fun. It is a hard ticketed party which means you have to buy a special ticket. MK is closed to guest not attending the Party. At 7pm, all the day guests should be gone and the Party starts! All the E ticket rides are open (except Space Mountain which is going through a refurb). There are special holiday shows, Christmas parade, and holiday themed fireworks. It is even "rumored" to snow on Main Street! ;) All the characters are decked out in the holiday finest and Santa and Mrs Claus will be attending as well.

I'll be attending on 11/10!

You can enter as early as 4pm with this ticket. There is a special parade and show in front of the castle, characters in costumes, snow on main street and even Santa. :) I have gone twice. Once, it was great, low crowds, well worth the money.... the second time, it was a zoo!!! So many people, I have no idea where they came from as it was not that busy at any park all week long. You couldn't get anywhere. There is one while we are there(the 17th) so I am just waiting to see if it sells out or not. If it does, I don't want to be there anyhow.... thinking we may just pass since we have seen it twice.... will make my mind up closer to the day.

I hear you on the being crowded. I won't go to a Party on Friday/Saturday nights. The locals come out since its not a school night. I'm attending on Tuesday night so it won't be so bad (hopefully!)

Well, kids, I made it! After a long day of flying (darn missing out on booking the direct flight!) I finally made it to SSR about 8:30 last night. Headed over to DTD and ate dinner at Raglan Road. Yummy!!! Nothing list Irish ham, Strogbow, and Irish music/dancers. Got back to the room about 11:30 and had to track down my luggage. Both suitcases finally showed up at about 12:30 this morning.

Slept in and now I need to get going and head over to Epcot for the final day of F&W goodness. :)

Safe travels to everyone. Heard from Lynn and she has arrived at her mom's in Jacksonville. Can't wait to meet everyone. The weather is absolutely gorgeous here.

Hope that everyone that has left already has a safe trip down to FL. We are dying to leave and almost thought it wasn't going to happen. DD got sick over the weekend...took her to the doctor today and now I have to go pick up some medicine. Turns out she ended up with Strep Throat for her birthday. What a wonderful present huh?! Can't go to school so once we get her medicine I am going to get her a Happy Meal and let her watch a movie.

Just got off the wonder yesterday and as we went to breakfast at Triton's there were TONS of carts being brought onboard with decorations and were positioned all around the atrium on decks 3,4, &5, as well as more for Tritons and Parrot cay sitting in the walkway next to Tritons by the side entrance. A tree was already set up when we exited Tritons, and our servers told us they would all be up by 12 when the next group set sail (came on board).

Hope everyone made it back safe and sound! Sorry we didn't make it to any of the meets. My DS had sea sickness the first night(you know...you were there-man the boat was rocking!) Then the next day my oldest DD broke her arm while in the Goofy pool. :confused3 Found that out this am. She was complaining after a handstand in the pool that she dislocated her arm. DH and I knew that it wasnt right. Turns out she broke her upper arm because there was a cyst in her bone causing it to be weak. Fluke thing. We did see Mark and Shadow many times because their table was next to ours at dinner. Wish we could have met more DISers! We are doing the double dip in May. Anyone else?? Kelly

We filled out a casting form earlier in the day. I was afraid we would be picked because most people at the pools did not have 2 kids over 10 years old. The hotel wasn't very busy.

"How did your DD get all that slime out of her hair?!"
She had to scoot on towels to a shower behind stage. There they hosed her off. I debated posting the pics.... There was still a good amount of slime so she went straight back to the room to shower. The whole time she was grumbling about the slime and being hosed off. It was quite funny (for me!)
She may need therapy though. She should have told them she was not okay with being slimed so Nick could have done it instead.

I got back safely as well. Met a friend for dinner Sunday night and then hit EMH for the Osborne lights. Oh my! They really put me in the holiday mood. Back to Denver on Monday to 23 degrees and 9 inches of snow on my car at the airport. :) Been busy catching up on work and school.

It was wonderful meeting everyone! I rebooked for 10/23/11 on the Dream. My TA/friend is trying to convince me to book the Dream 5 day in June 2011. When I got home my brother and SIL want to taken an Alaskan cruise in Aug 2010 and they have invited me to go along!!! :)

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I agree - a great big THANK YOU to everyone for the amazing FE gifts. :thumbsup2 They were so cool. You all did such a great job!

We most likely won't cruise with Disney again until the Dream. We're looking at the 8/16/11 cruise. I can't wait!

DH and I are doing and ADULTS ONLY :woohoo: cruise sometime between now and then. We're definately going the Mexican Riveria route, either with RCCL or NCL.

I loved meeting all of you, and catching up with old friends. My only regret is that we did not have enough time to really hang out and have a good time together. Let's all sail together again SOON!

wow Jill! all that snow:sad2: so cool that you get to go to Alaska!
There seems to be lots of excitement about the Dream:rolleyes:
We booked a 4 day starting Nov. 6th,2011 but DH really wants to do a 5 day. They are only available May-Aug. (hurricane season:mad:) but at least we won't be chilly.
Harmony, a grown ups only cruise really sounds like fun!:woohoo:

Hey everyone.... we finally made it home. 9 days was a smidge too long, but glad we took the time to go to Discovery Cove, Sea world and WDW. WDW was very slow, almost no lines for anything. I must say though Discovery cove was the highlight of our trip. Just an amazing day. Here are a few pictures.

Working now to get all my cruise pictures downloaded. Thanks for all the FE gifts too... we haven't really had a chance to go thru them all but will do so over the weekend. They took up half of a suitcase!! but I still managed to get everything home. No future cruise plans for us unless they offer us some amazing 99 dollar offer that many of you got. We will likely get back to Discovery Cove again in the future. Off to unpack a bit. Nice meeting all of you!

My son & I are going on a 4 day cruise on 14 march.

We are going to WDW for a few days after the cruise. Disney is having a "deal" for the Military.

Walt Disney World's Armed Forces Salute 2010
Walt Disney World has just announced that Active and Retired U.S. Military, including members of the U.S. Coast Guard and active members of the National Guard or Reservists, may purchase 4-Day Walt Disney World Armed Forces Salute Tickets for themselves and up to five (5) family members and/or friends for $99 each.

The base ticket is valid for four days of admission into one of the four Walt Disney World theme parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom Park). Although this ticket for family members and friends does not include either the Park Hopper or Water Park Fun & More options, this ticket can be upgraded to add either such option, or both, for an additional $25, per option. The Park Hopper option allows guests to visit more than one park each day. The Water Park and More option gives guests a total of four visits to a choice of a Disney water park, DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme Park or certain other attractions.

During this offer period, active or retired U.S. military personnel may make a one-time purchase of up to a maximum of five 4-Day companion tickets (one theme park per day) for $99 per ticket, for family members (including spouse) or friends. All tickets and options are non-transferable and must be activated by September 26, 2010, and must be purchased by July 31, 2010. Block out dates March 27 – April 9, 2010 at all Disney theme park locations. July 3 – 4, 2010 at the Magic Kingdom only. Tickets available for purchase at Shades of Green beginning January 3, 2010.

Active or Retired Military must show a valid United States Military ID card. Activated members of the National Guard or Reservists must present their orders in addition to a Military ID card.

Happy New Year to you Tracey! We do have some pics Tracey so I'll have to ask Laura to post them! It was awesome! Mike and Annette actually ended up taking our Cat 5 (?) room! They also stopped by to see the suite :woohoo:. Mike said that they will never go back to a regular room now that they've had a balcony (and Annette didn't argue a peep :lmao:)! He also said he loved hanging out on it when they were in their room and opened the door to hear the ocean when they were falling asleep. Although the suite was truly awesome we probably won't do it again, we're good with cat 5 or 6. For us it was a great opportunity to upgrade at the port on a short cruise. Conceirge was nice but don't think they are at your beckon call!!!
Hey Mark...the deal you got with your son sounds AWESOME!! You totally deserve it my friend! Gheesh 18 days until till a 7 day Eastern Cruise and another trip in March?? You make me totally jealous!
Here's the question.... this was a great group of cruisers... so when are we all going back as a group? :thumbsup2

Here are some pics of the cabin. It was really awesome but like Mike says not something we'd do all the time.
