Tell me about your Toy Hauler

We have been all over the place with what kind of camping we want to do - today I spent a great deal of time looking at Toy haulers of the light - pop up variety - half pop up - half trailer for your toys - like the coleman E4 or a 2006 fleetwood scorpion - anyone have experience with these type of RV's? I like the pop up type but one thing to consider is if you like having a bathroom inside that has holding tanks I recommend the KZ Rock Climber or Forest River Wolfpack. Both offer a hard sided camper with facilities but have a deck on front to accomodate the toys or other items you want to bring.

We love our toy hauler (except I get crappy mpg pulling it) We have a wolf pack 30wp its a 36' bumper pull. You need a 1 ton to pull it. I can put 2 golf carts inside. We almost went the way of the rock climber but we got so much more trailer with the wolf pack for the same price. Our trailer will sleep 10 its rated for 8 but 10 is no problem.

Hi all, new to this site & love it!!:thumbsup2 We have a 2006 Gulf Stream, Gulf Breeze, 26ft. It has bunks for our girls. We are currently looking at the Keystone, Cougar Model 320 SRX. We like it because our golf cart appears like it will fit inside it and it seems like it will be light enough for our new 2008 F250 Lariat/Diesel 4X4/longbed to tow it as a 5ver. This toy hauler has a side loading door vs rear. Any thoughts??

Side loaders are not very good for golf carts. A stock cart with out a rear seat will fit. But if you add a rear seat the foot rest has to fold up for the door to close. If you lift the cart it will be to tall and to wide to fit through a side loader door. We looked at a couple before we bought our toy hauler and my lifted cart would not fit in any of them.

DO NOT, get the 320 if you're thinking about hauling a golf cart. I have the 310 and it will haul a cart, but ask me 1st please before you get a side loader.

Thanks for the input, we will continue to look at different types. We could not buy a F350 due to our HAO does not allow any 1 ton's in the community. I need a lightwieght TH our new F250 can handle. I'm tired of loading the cart in the bed of the truck, then going and picking up our TT from storage, then coming back to the house to load, and then Blahh, blahh, it drives me nuts!!

He is right. I haul my 4 seat golf cart in my side load TH. I took out the bolt , that bolt the foot rest to the frame. I replaced them with clevis pins, so I can remove the foot rest.

With a diesel F-250 you still should be able to tow just about any toy hauler you want. With a few exceptions. About not being able to have a 1 ton I would have to move(I know thats easier said then done. HAO just annoy me.). But you could have still bought the F-350 single rear wheel and just changed the emblems to 250.
