i know there was a thread on this not too long ago, but i'm not sure this question was really answered. when you have a case of water delivered to your disney hotel, does disney charge a $5 holding fee? it could arrive before we get to the hotel and check in. we are going to be at POR on march 20 and are thinking of getting a case from costco. thanks!:)

We had groceries delivered through gardengrocer.com
Excellent company and it was $12 delivery. We ordered way too much stuff with DDP as well.
Resorts have stores that are just fine for a thing or two including milk.

I believe it was determined it was a case by case basis. Some resorts did charge it, but not all the time, while others didn't charge at all.

Resorts that are considered a "convention center" generally charge a fee to accept deliveries. I don't believe POR does.

We stayed at CBR in Nov. We had water deliv to our hotel at no charge from Disney. Ordered through Costco. The only issue we had the label cut off our last name so they had trouble finding it at first because of no name, once I said it was from Costco, they got it right away. Definitely worth the savings. 2 adults, 1 child and we drank the whole case. We'd each take a bottle w/us each morning, so at least it saved us buying one in the AM. And usually we'd grab one when we got back to the resort, so it saved us in the PM as well.

We stayed at AKL in January and ordered from Costco. Their was no charge and was waiting in our room when we arrived.

From everything I've read, there's no charge at POR, only at the convention resorts (CSR, CR, GF, YC, etc.). We were at AKL in January and there was no charge there.

We were at the YC in June 2008 and we had water, soda, and some other items delivered to our resort. We had just landed in Orlando when the delivery person called my cell to tell me that they were at the YC. I asked them to check the items with bell services. Our items were brought up to our room at check in along with our luggage and we were not assessed a fee!

Enjoy your trip!

Sorry for the newbie question here, but, how do you go about getting water delivered to a hotel ahead of time? Do you just go to costco website and give them the address of your hotel along with your name ? Are there any other websites to order cases of water from?

Yes, you need to include your name and arrival date and info like that, but it is as easy as that. There is another thread with all the info, I will try to find it and link it. There is www.gardengrocer.com, but I believe it is a bit more expensive (I think there is a minimum order amount) unless you are buying other groceries for your room.

here is the link to the other thread outlining the details
