DH and I are having some fellow disney fanatics (a family) over tonight. We are doing the Liberty tavern pot roast recipe and the banana bread pudding recipe from Boma. Side salad of coucous from Morocco.
what else would you serve with it other than potatoes? Thanks!

Isn't the couscous instead of potatoes?:confused3 Its your carbohydrate (but you might want a choice for those who don't like couscous - like my boys:rolleyes1 ) Otherwise carrots? Green beans?

Not a fan of couscous, especially as a salad. I would serve potatoes since you are having pot roast. I would serve the Colony House Salad from the LTT as well or the Little Nutty Salad from the WL as a starter. Then the pot roast & some cream cheese mashed potatoes from Le Cellier and a hot veggie...uhm... maybe green beans or carrots?
Also not a fan of bread pudding, but it sounds (and smells) good, I can't deal with the texture. *shudders*

I don't like bread and butter pudding (too custardy for me - bleugh) but bread pudding is different;) Not usre if its the same over there - here its made with left-over bread, lard, raisins and stuff. NOT good for the waistline:lmao:

Bread pudding is bread pudding no matter what you put in it! :rotfl:
I just don't like the mushy bread. *blech!*

Okay we found some potatoes and I didn't have couscous in the house! The pot roast was the BEST ever! Thanks to whoever hunts these things down.
My friend is a nutritionist and was aghast when I sent her the recipe for that bread pudding. 116 grams of fat PER SERVING. We should only have 35 total a day! The Boma bread pudding is made with croissants so it is different from mushy bread puddings. My dh went NUTS over it. He is slim and watches what he eats but this was an exception. Besides, there are no grams of fat in WDW.
So we had cauliflower with the pot roast which was loaded with the veggies in recipe. You have to really, really BROWN the meat (and vegs) before it goes in oven (i put it in for 4 hours not 1 and a half). Browning is the key to the flavor.
