Question on Moving [Archive] - The DIS Discussion Forums

Hi everyone!

We shared points with friends for our upcoming October trip, but we only had enough for them to stay Sunday to Friday in a studio. Now I know from previous experience that if we have to move to a different resort, we just call Bell Services to pick up our luggage, then we check out of the current resort and then take a bus (without our luggage) to the new resort and then check in at the new one. We called Bell Services in the afternoon after hitting the parks and they brought the luggage up to our rooms.

We did it from OKW to AKV though. Does anyone know if it works the same way if our friends are transferring from AKV (using points) to Pop Century (cash ressie)?

I went from Pop to AKV in December. I brought my suitcase to the luggage transfer place and Bell services brought it to me in AKV. So, Disney will transfer the luggage. I don't know how you get it when you're at Pop. I don't know if you have to pick it up at that luggage transfer place near the entrance of the registration building.

We did the reverse - cash ressies to points. We transferred from Pop to OKW when we were the over MLK weekend. We dropped our luggage off at bell services at Pop and picked our luggage up at bell services at OKW.

We did same thing only at Christmas, Bell service's picked up our bags in the room and delivered them to OKW. Only thing you need to contact your arriving Bell service's and they will delivery them to your room someone had to be there to accept them.

Thanks for this information - I was wondering the same thing as we are transferring from POP (cash) to BLT (points) in September. :thumbsup2
