Regarding 2ts credit signature meals...

We are on the basic DDP and want to go to California Grill to celebrate our 1st anniversary. :lovestruc

I am under the impression that with the basic plan, you do not get an appetizer included with your meal.

With the signature meals where you "pay" 2 ts credits, does this change? I am trying to decide if it is worth it to do Cali Grill for Wishes or if we'd be better off doing 2 other meals that only cost 1 credit each, like Tutto and something else romantic.

Basic DDP does not include appetizer at any meal, except pre-set "fixed price" menus, such as CRT, Fantasmic packages, and the like. This does not change based on regular vs. signature restaurants.

It does not change if you are on the regular plan. Just the entree, dessert and non-alcoholic drink are included. You would still have to pay OOP for an appetizer if you would like one (or 2).

If you are trying to maximize the dollar value from your dining plan, eating at signature and burning 2 TS credits is not the way to do it. You should go if you want to experience it (we love CG) but dollar for dollar, you will get more out of eating two 1 TS meals as opposed to one 2 TS meal.

Not true. We love Narcoosee, but if you go there on the basic DDP you get only an entree, dessert, and a beverage. We've done it twice on the basic plan and twice on the DxDDP. We only got an appetizer on the DxDDP and that was only after the waiter had checked our card and assured himself that we were truly on the DxDDP.

Last May I was on the DxDDP and not being a breakfast eater chose to go to an early TS lunch every day and then tried a Signature restaurant every night. I ate at Artist Point, Narcoosee, Jiko, California Grill, Citricos, Yatchsman, and Flying Fish. At each restaurant when I told them I was on the DxDDP and tried to order my appetizer (which I was allowed on the DxDDP), they asked to see my KTTW card to verify for sure which DDP I was on. At several places I had waiters who mentioned that they had to ask because some people assumed that on the regular DDP they would still get an appetizer because the meal would require 2 TS credits, however that was not true.

The only place this does not apply is the Fantasmic Pkg at Brown Derby. With the Fantasmic pkgs you do get an appetizer, but only because an appetizer is a part of the pkg.

This is accurate only on the deluxe dining plan. On the basic, the only signature restaurants that include appetizers on the plan are CRT and Brown Derby (Brown Derby on the Fantasmic dining package ONLY).

the exceptions are as noted... the other exceptions are you get salad at HDDR and the fruit at SoA... if you consider them "appetizers" then yes, they are included in *some* 2TScredit meals...
