From an interview of one of the animal keepers at the Animal Kingdom Lodge printed in the summer issue of Disney magazine : "You should know that we can see you when you're standing on your balcony in your underwear!"

I know. I could see the older gentleman a balcony up and over watching the animals in his underwear also :) He was so entranced with the animals I guess he didn't care. Maybe that happens a lot!

We saw lots of people on our last trip standing out there in their P.J.s and their undies. There is also a note on the window that cameras are in use, close curtain. My husband thought it was referring to the resort cameras, but I told him it could also mean all the people standing on their balcanoy taking pictures. I wonder how many people get shots of people in their undies.

Can the cameras see through the white sheer curtains? It's so dark in the room with the shades closed! And the lamps are terrible! I know it's atmosphere, but you do need to see inside :(
I'm sure DH will be out there in his boxers. He'll be happy to be on camera :D

Actually, the cameras cannot see in the rooms. They are stationary and positioned to see balconies only.

You know what's really funny? I recognized that woman's picture who was being interviewed in that article. Not only could she see us (not in our undies!) - but we could see her - getting her HAIR EATEN by a giraffe. I swear that giraffe was going to get something to eat, and he wasn't waiting for her to fill that bin. At one point I think he was licking her neck! Yuck!!! It was pretty funny, though....

This post could give a whole new meaning to the Savannah (and BVD) view room.

I loved that line when I read it in the magazine.

I know this is a bit off topic but when did you all get your Disney Summer Magazine. I'm a DC member and have been waiting for mine thinking I should have it by now. Okay, so should I have mine by now?

Nolcrest - I got my mag on Tuesday & I live in NJ
When we checked in to AKL last month the CM specifically reminded us that there are camera watching the balconies. We only spotted two cameras mounted way up on the top of the building across from us.
