Stachys-Also called Lamb's Ears. The silver white leaves of stachys looks like woolly lamb's ears. This plant has rather ordinary flowers (violet-pale pink) nestled along a thick stalk.

Lamb's Ear forms a carpet of velvet when planted in borders. It also is a great plant to breakup that summer ho-hum of a perennial garden.

Stachys grown in ordinary soil, that is well drained. It likes sun or semi-shade and in comes in heights of 12-24 inches.
