Adding DDP to Room-Only Reservation?

Anyone know if it would be possible to add the DDP to our room-only reservation? When we arrive we're buying the park tickets from the hotel...essentially we are basically doing a package but we couldn't afford to pay for it all when we originally booked. We're eating at TS places every day anyways so I kind of want to just get the DDP since we're budgeting $50/pp a day for food anyways so it'd just be easier to spend $40 a day pp on the DDP and pay for the tips out of pocket...anyone know if I can add it onto my reservation?

Afraid you can't. To get DDP without a "package" you'd have to be AP holders or staying at a DVC resort on points.

That said, you can modify your existing reservation up to about 3 days prior to check-in, and you may be able to change it from room-only to full package. There is technically a change fee associated with this, but it will likely be waived (at least mostly) since you're upgrading to a more expensive package.

Thanks for the info :) I tried calling Disney and they could do it but our package would be $1700 :scared1: because our room rate of $74 couldn't be applied to the package so they had to change it to $125 room rate...I told them no thanks-I'd rather pay close to nothing for my room than have the peace of mind that we didn't have to worry about money for food

Sorry - if you have a discount that applies to a room-only reservation, you may or may not be able to apply that discount to a package reservation. And to add the DDP, you must be booked on a package reservation.
