Anyone else sailing on 9/8 wonder? Did you get a letter from DCL today?

Got a letter fro DCL letting us know that Freeport was added to our 4-day cruise itinerary. We're losing the day at sea :(
We did the 4 day last year and had the day at sea, which was so nice. Anyone else get this letter? Also, any opinions on Freeport? How is it?

I liked our freeport stop, I didn't like the nassua one. In Freeport I did the Lucayan Bach day and we loved it.

We are also on this criuse. Have not got a letter yet,maybe
the travel agent has. We booked a cat.6 and were looking
forward to sitting on the verandah on the day at sea.

Maybe Freeport will be fun, who knows.

They originally added the Freeport stop to the 4-day after we had booked (11/00). There may have been changes since then, but it was just a boring industrial port when we docked and required a bus/taxi ride to get anywhere. We chose to treat it as a day at "sea" anyway, and didn't even get off the ship. DSs spent most of the day participating in the Lab activities, DH and I spent some time out on Deck 10, then he did the wine tasting and I played Bingo. It was a great, relaxing day!

I wrestled with the feeling that I should at least set foot on the island so I could say "been there, done that", but in retrospect, our choice to stay on board was a good one.

even though when we did the 3day 3 yrs. ago my parents did not like Nassau we have considered doin the 3/4day again. Why? (besides the money..hehe) b/c we think it would be kinda nice to have these days w/ the ship less crowded.. especially when my little bro loves the mickey pool... in other words.. i think this hopefully will go to ur advantage even if you decided not to get off at freeport
