It is a little here too....icy rain at least.
Depends on the angle of the dish and how the rain hits....hope you are up and running soon!!!!

We tend to lose ours in heavy rains in spring and summer more than heavy snow. Much to my husband's chagrin we keep cable as a back up.

I've never experienced any rain or snow fade with ours (luckily!).. it's funny how having the dish a smidge out of alignment can make a huge difference when it comes to cruddy weather.

Ours goes out for around 5 seconds everytima a plane goes overhead, which is frequently as we live a couple of miles from YVR. Also find that very dense weather systems can cause it to put it out of service too.

Yes-ours goes intermittently in heavy cloud cover. It 'pixilates' they call it, Breaks up-I call it. Also certain times of year there are solar outtages..October? then again in March-April. I guess when anything comes between the satellite and the dish-it makes sense the signal is interrupted.:confused3

We had to go out and wipe the snow off of our dish last night too - but it was really, really snowing (those great big flakes that accumulate very quickly!)
After we did that we were fine for the night.

Yep ..we had the pixellies first and then bam it was gone for about 2 hrs....we have 2 dishes..one is on the roof and VERY difficult to get to...the new one is on side of house so we can get to it....
thanks for responses..it sure does seem to vary where you live...for PP about alignment..ours is good because our signal is 93% for sat91 and 100% for sat82...so we shouldn't have problems...I wish we could get digital cable but we don't have it here......
The good news...After signal returned I was able to PVR Lost when it came on at 12 or 1am:cool1:

I lost my signal about 9:45 last night.
We had a brief snowfall and heavy, wet snow covered the dish enough to block the signal, but within an hour the snow had melted.

Hi from Owen Sound. We lost our signal last night. Hubby had to clear off the ice on the dish. Luckily was able to catch the new hour of Lost. We're big fans too. I heard from others at work they had the same problem.
