I am VERY new to pin trading, and don't have anything valuable but would love to go to a pin meet, especially since its in my town :)

The folks at WDW were kind of rude to me and I would like to have a second first impressions of pin traders. I would totally understand if this meet is only for the "pros"

Hey y'all,

This sounds like fun! I have missed every Atlanta pin meet due to some life event(being sick,out of town, or on bed-rest with pregnancy). Ironically the next meet in on June 8th and I'm having surgery on the 6th. :( This time I'm going to try my hardest to put all major illnesses,catastrophes, and life altering events on hold! I'll keep my fingers crossed. I look forward to finally meeting some Atlanta pin folk( and Ft Lauderdale folk-I was born there!) I also cant wait to meet a fellow eeyore fan. I collect eeyore and so does my friend Kris. Now I have something to look forward to for after my surgery recovery!

Go ahead Amber...it's a short drive. I once did if for one day in the parks. Got out of class in northern Atlanta at 5:00 on a Friday afternoon and was in Orlando by 12:30. Then I did the return trip on Sunday morning to catch an early afternoon airplane.

We have had a remendous response to this meet. So Far we have a dozen or so people coming from out of Georgia to this meet and about 24 or so traders from the Atlanta area. This is going to be so much fun for everyone.....

I mostly lurk but I have to come out of hiding to say--I might actually get to meet a member of the BOA Brigade! Of course, I dont really have a clue as to what it all entails but it seems very enthralling. Ashley, you asked the question that I myself was wondering when you inquired how to become a part of the brigade. Since I havent been to the world for over a year, I have fallen out of touch. *sigh* All the people I used to know have forgotten me, and I'm starting all over with this pin collecting stuff. Maybe I'll get to meet some more folk and will be able to come out of lurkerdom and see the light! :)

I haven't tried yet. I'm working on filling a backpack with school stuff for a little boy (not mine) so that he'll have stuff to use. Then I'll take it back to the mall and check out the Disney store while I'm there. Though I think I've seen them at Joann Crafts before..

I havent seen the boas yet. Do you remember how much they were? I'm not far from the Mall of Ga store, so I might run up to see them.

Of course now he is worried that I have found the DIS with all its nuts. He is outnumbered! My son is my 5mth old nut-in-training.

I will try to get my boa this week. My DH has been working everyday for the past 3wks! Plus he works the next 2wks straight. After my surgery, its still a little hard to go out by myself and lug the baby/baby stuff around.

BTW...What is the game plan on food for that night? Is everyone going to try and go out together. Do you need folks to bring some goodies? Fried Kudzu perhaps?

My flight to Atlanta is at 6:30 am, so if I doze off in the middle of a trade negotiation, please don't take advantage of me by taking my HM Dangle trader for a Beauty and the Beast snowglobe pin and then try to tell me that I insisted it was a good trade...

I can't wait to get there though and see everyone, including our hosts ..my Royal Counsel (who should take note of the length and enthusiasm of this post vs. his latest post on the BB thread) and Corey, the rest of the gang, and the Atlanta Contingent of the Boa Brigade!! It's going to be a blast!!
