Well on our trip next month to WDW my friend wants to go to South Beach for a day. I have never been there what is it like?????

SoBe for a day? Nope. Too far to drive. That's roughly 8 hours on the road.

What's it like? Shops, restaurants... a gay beach :teeth:

I live a few miles from SoBE and to be honest, we stay away from it. The parking is terrible and the shops and restaurants are overpriced. We much prefer Ft Lauderdale. They have a gay beach as well and it's just over all friendlier.

Oh, and it's definitely not worth the drive just for one day from WDW.

I did the drive for a day trip once, never again! Too much time on the road! There are plenty of other nice beaches closer to WDW. :thumbsup2
