Hi,

Does anyone know if you still can get a discount at Disney Stores in the UK with your Share Holders card?

DW and I are off to London on Saturday to see The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, and we are thinking of poping into the Oxford Street and Covent Garden Disney Stores.

As far as I am aware, Shareholder Club members still receive a 10% discount at Disney Stores.

They should know what you are talking about- I mostly use the store in York and Leeds and they used to have a book with bar codes in that they scanned - last time though they just swiped the card through the till. I find producing the card often provokes some sort of conversation as I get the impression they don't see many of them round our way!

Though I would let everyone know how we got on using our Sharholders card in London yesturday.

At the Oxford Street store we were told we could have a 10% discount on everything in store, apart from the Disney Store Trading Pins. So we paid full price for our new pins.

At the Covent Garden Disney Store we were given a 10% discount on everything, including the Disney Store Trading Pins.

The Lion King was a fantastic, think I'm going to have get the Broadway Cast CD now.

Sounds a lovely trip. What pins were you able to buy? I looked in our Leicester store but no pins.

The pins have been available to buy for the last 2 or 3 weeks, and they are starting to pin trade as well in Uk Disney stores sometime this month.

I was chatting to a CM in the Disney store in Dundee 2 weeks ago, he was saying they'd only been selling the pins there for less than a week, and already some of the limited edition stock had sold out (the St Patricks Stitch pin). It cost £5 or £7 to buy at the Uk Disney store, and was on ebay for £25 :scared1: :scared1: !!

They have limited edition pins, which will change every week or fortnight (sorry, can't remember which he said) and a stock of normal pins, including Wall-E, Marie, Stitch, Bolt, Tink, and groups of Disney characters. These are £3 for the singles, and £5 for the groups. So, in view of the exchange rate at the mo, you're much cheaper buying your pins in the Uk stores than waiting until you go to DLRP :goodvibes . And you'll soon be able to pin-trade here too!

New LE pins are out every 2 weeks. If you go on the Disney store website you can see the next 2 lots that will be out.
