Does southwest enforce the issue of the fare buyer being over 18? we bought 3 tickets and got 3 free and want to use with all of our kids but, the last set will be 2 children. It seems silly that the price would be cheaper if one of them was over 18, usually children fares are cheaper. we went ahead and bought them and thought that if they make us pay the difference at the time, fine. Just wondering how strict they are? we are hoping that by not checking any luggage that we can just get through sercurity and board.

you bought three sets, right, are there three people over 18?
If so, no problem, if not, you might have a problem, they are pretty strict on this. Call them and ask.

They definitely enforce the rule. We saw them turn away a family that had the tickets because there was only 1 adult and 3 kids, none of which was 18. The woman kept saying that she didn't know about the limitation and wondered what could be done about it. She was nearly in tears and the ticketing agent said she felt horrible but there was nothing she could do. I'd definitely try to call ahead to see what you can work out.
