Pete, about the fireworks & parade shutdown in Disneyland

Pete, I heard your complaint about DL shutting down the parade and fireworks for most of the time you were there - I was there at the same time. No DL parade or fireworks: just Pixar Play Parade & Fantasmic.

The reason that I got for the parade/fireworks shutdown is that Main Street itself is undergoing a rehab. I don't know whether its the tracks on the road, repaving, both, or more, but this seems to have been the reason. I don't know if you noticed the large "boxes" sitting in the middle of Main Street.

Although cutting costs could have played a part, it seems that the shutdowns here were just part of the rehab process in an off-peak season. Didn't bother me.

It's true - most of the tracks in town square up to the Market House were boxed in today.

Soon, it will be over.

Also - the 5 freeway was closed due to snow - not wind and rain!

Yes, it's true because some of my friends also experienced it. Hopefully on the time of our trip, we can see it.

Yes, this fireworks thing is listed on the rehab page for Disneyland here on the DIS. I've been checking it because we leave Sat! :cool1:
