My computer has been giving me problems for the last few weeks. I think it is having relationship problems with Photo Impact. Whenever I work on it for a while and then try and do something, it says not enough memory. Before I could shut it down & then start over and it would work for a while. Now I cannot make any changes to anything.:rolleyes1 My brother in law (my geeky computer guy) is out of town for a week so I am not going to get it fixed real soon. So I will continue to hang out here and admire other's work, but I cannot DISign anything. :badpc: :badpc: :badpc: :badpc: :badpc: :badpc: :badpc: :sad2: :headache:

OK, It is letting me do some things but not others. So I am able to change some stuff and do some minor DISigning. I am going to take it slow until BIL gets home. I hate/love computers. I just spent an hour backing up everything just in case the darn thing dies. It is only two years old, so hopefully it is just a minor adjustment. :)

I just backed everything up. I have so many pages of clip art that I have gathered over the years. I would be sooooo mad if I lost it all. It is all backed up and I am going to let it rest for a few days. :goodvibes
thanks, Penny

oh NO!
(sounds like a memory drain problem too me but I'm not a geek and just know enough to be dangerous!)
Check and see if you've got other programs open - if so they're running in the background and could be hogging your precious memory! Close down all unnecessary applications if you dare.
Good luck - I'll wish a fast week for ya! :wizard:

Hi!
Popped on this evening to check email and the board and saw your delima. Asked computer geek hubby about your situation. He said you may wish to google and download a program called MEMFREE. This program makes sure that when you close a program that all the memory it was using is released back into the system. This may help until you can get your computer geek to look at it (Kinda hard to diagnose computer stuff without seeing certain elements.)

:flower3: I ended up not needing to download anything. Turns out that I had downloaded a "widget" for entering coke points as well as having many things in my "start up" basket. Apparently, that was eating all of my memory. I deleted the widget (which I Hardly ever used) and moved some stuff out of my start up basket and things are going well. Thanks everyone for the advice and good vibes. Telynn, give the hubby a big high five for me:thumbsup2 . Thanks Penny:flower3:
